I have been waitering and holding heavy trays and plates on my right arm for years. That arm is noticeably bigger than the other one (biceps got stronger throughout the years). I fucked up the tendon on my weaker arm because i kept pushing with pull ups and weaker arm's tendon was suffering.
Now i started a gym 2 years later and pain is still returning, but i'm being careful. I removed pull ups from my training routine and i am doing a lat pulldown with neutral grip because it doesn't put a lot of strain on my tendon.
But the biggest problem for me is bicep curling. I just cannot find the alternative for it.
What would you recommend, what should i do? I started focusing only on my weaker arm now. I have this 7 liter gallon of water at home and i've been holding it on my weaker arm for the past few days, pretending that it's a heavy tray. This balancing will sure take some time, but i feel like i am doing it incorrectly.

I thought I injured my bicep tendon; however, based on the anatomy depiction you placed on your left arm. I think it's actually the aponeurosis. (Medial side of left arm, anterior side, in front of elbow) While training Jiu-Jitsu during a sparing round (roll), My arm was in an awkward position (Not a submission). I did this to myself during movement. I felt a pop in my left arm. I had no bruising or deviation in the position of my bicep. I had a few days of pain that subsided. A few weeks later, I'm now noticing the Tendon or aponeurosis is swollen and noticeable when I move my arm compared to the right side. Pain only with direct flexion of that muscle Ie. Bicep curl. I'm wondering what this might be. Thank you.

  • @thewanderer011

Excellent video, described exactly my problem. My question is what I should do, and what not in order to heal it? I know that I injured my tendon six months ago by using very strong elastic bands during my biceps curls. The pain is not very strong, but it doesn't go away either. I think that playing guitar is making it worse, since I feel stronger pain after playing ( left hand, after pressing chords for a while forearm rotation hurts but only for a brief moment). I stopped execising two months ago, and I stopped playing guitar too, but I am still playing piano. Light pain appears occasionally, I am not sure what I can do and what not to do. It is really frustrating, cannot play guitar, cannot exercise. What to do to heal this? Will complete rest for a few months help? Anybody here with similar experience?

Use a very small dumbbell or an adjustable dumbbell handle with no weights attached and aim for 100 or so continuous reps but stop if the tendon feels like it is about to start hurting.
