I wouldn't recommend casting below 3 gram it's not a bfs reel. And I don't feel comfortable casting a 1 oz lure on it. I didn't test the full range but heaviest I went was a bit over 1/2 oz
@@IronMikeyT I bought a shimano zodias replica called "zorro"😂. It's pretty much the exact same rod for only $100. And there's so much more off brand rods that have good carbon blanks and Fuji components for cheap. And they all look handsome
Hi I just bought the same reel and knoticed when I cast it it makes a vibrating or rattling type sound so I was wondering if yours makes a rattling or vibrating sound when you cast it?
The reel has a glossy finish and the rod handle has a rubberized texture so they reflect light differently. You are sharp, the reel has a darker red than the rod but not too different!

When the lure landed on the ground there was a bit of overrun as you can see in the video. A slight over run is different than a backlash. I walked back just to clear it and again that's after the lure stopped and after the over run happened.... if walking back can solve backlash then.... actually no it doesn't work that way.
What weight range are you throwing on the reel? Really thinking about picking this up.

Hey if you can make a video of your casting sound and post it on your TH-cam account, I can compare it to mine and see if yours is normal.
I had the same problem with my Salamandura air. All I did was tighten the part the gold knob area on the left don’t know what it’s called
