Most books have the 'look inside' feature. And for the keywords, you can use Keyword Scout to find the ones with the most search volume.
Is the reverse wholesaling option really viable for a person with a completely new seller central account? I've been using this method for the last 3 months with no luck. Either being denied, asked for link to my Amazon storefront or references. Can you shed some light?

Do you suggest a prep center? Can I ship from wholeseller to FBA directly? I guess that’s if the supplier approves that I sell on Amazon first? Or would they discourage this method?

Awesome information!! You mentioned 2 as being the minimum number of sellers on the filters page but left the max blank. Wouldn't you want there to be the least number of maximum sellers to have less competition? In a previous video, I think you mentioned putting 2 as the minimum and 5 being the maximum for lesser competition.

As for the max number of sellers, we intentionally left this blank to keep our results open, however, like we showed in the last Wholesale video, it's a good idea to include a max number to help narrow down the results. We like to start with a big list at first, then incorporate more filters as we weed down further. Hope that makes sense 🙂

You would not need to create your own listing, instead you can use the current one with the existing reviews, and simply suggest changes to the listing inside Seller Central. If Amazon approves of your changes, those should go live on the listing as long as you're in the buy box!

Hi Jungle Scout team, I have a few questions. Why is the estimated monthly sales 8,850 when using the free sales estimator and why is the estimated monthly sales 18,945 when using the Jungle Scout extension for the same product? Shouldn't the monthly sales estimate be the same regardless if we're using the free or paid version of the tool? (Minute 18 in the video for reference)
Also, how are we able to improve a product listing by adding images, keywords, product description, etc. when I'm not the one that created the product listing? Are you able to please clarify?
Hello Jose! The data is different because the tools are refreshed at different rates. Some can be a 3-4 weeks old whereas the Extension provides live data. As for a Listing that isn't your own, if you are listed as a seller, you can import the listing and work on it. Otherwise you can always use the Listing grader and then copy and paste the information to improve or work with it!

Thank you for the great video! I love the value add approach to a listing and I have a technical question related with that. Do you just create a new listing with the same UPC or do you piggy back on the current listing and somehow create a cloned version with your improvements? Thank you
If you are selling Private label, you can create a new listing with your own UPC but if you are crating a generic product or reselling products that already exists on Amazon, you will be sharing the listing with the other sellers.

You will need to have permission from the listing owner to update the listing

Amazon is the one choosing it. They use their own criteria, it is still possible for them to choose you, so it's best to at least try optimizing it.

Distributors also allow everyone and their mother to purchase for them so there tends to be a lot of competition on the products you buy from them.

It depends on which grocery item, but if it needs to be ungated, you should have your actual product first. Since it is already an existing brand, if there's a way to get it ungated first before purchasing a lot of units from the supplier, I think that's better.

2nd question. If I create wholesale account with a wholeselar and get their inventory list, if I would like to sell 2 or more different brand products do I need to get approval from every brand separately??
It depends on the Brand. Some brands may not allow it, and some may not mind you selling other brands. It is best to reach out to them and ask them first.

I have a question: is Amazon ok with an invoice from ANY distributor for wholesale or is there a specific type they are fine with ? As a reseller, you need to get approval directly from the brand owner. The wholesale option can be found on the brand's official website.

Hi when we see a poor listing it has the potential for optimization, do we make a new listing to optimize or current listing to optimize, if we optimize the current listing then everyone in the listing will have more sales, is it not a good idea to have another listing optimized?
If you find a poorly performing listing that needs improvement, you can either try to fix the current listing or create a new one. If you improve the current listing, it can benefit all sellers listed there and avoid confusing customers. Creating a new listing can be useful for trying different strategies or making significant changes. The best option depends on the specific product and market conditions. 😊

With the traditional sourcing strategy, if I purchase product X from a distributor and create a listing, selling FBA, the brand itself may also be selling same Product X, either FBA or FBM. I did see a couple of cases/products like these. In such a case, I AM competing with the brand itself - buying their products from distributors and selling in same marketplace. Does the brand/Amazon allow this? Is this allowed?

I’m honestly a bit confused by conflicting information I’m seeing online. I plan to do wholesale on Amazon fba and I Currently I have an LLC and EIN set up in Illinois. Besides the LLC and EIN what is the document they will they ask for when you apply for opening a wholesale account (certificate of resale, resale permit, ?)Besides that document, do I need to fill out additional certificate of resale documents every time I make wholesale orders?

Hello, recently I read that Amazon reduced their packaging on orders and started shipping the orders in their original packaging. People say that there is an option to choose Amazon branded box at checkout. Can't seem to find that. Can you help with that ? Thanks
Hi there! This option will only show if you have the option to have the package shipped in its original state instead of using an Amazon box/envelope. If the item/items can be shipped by placing a label on the original packaging, Amazon will auto-select this option and show you how much you could save on shipping. It will also show the option to select regular packing instead. This is not available on all products!
You mentioned to make sure the brand isn’t the seller during the reverse sourcing tutorial. My impression was that the brand was the seller with the Bee playing cards however. Is that correct?
If the Brand is the seller, they'll be less likely to want you selling on their listing
What JS is saying is to ensure the brand is not the one selling on Amazon. So for example you want to make sure the brand bee playing cards is not selling on Amazon
If we start working with a local distributor, how would be know if the product would sell good on Amazon if their products are not listed on Amazon? Is it just the rest you'll have to take?
In any business, even if there are a lot of other sellers selling the product there's always a risk that you got to take. 😉

If you're selling the same product, you should be able to submit changes, Amazon will review them and apply them, otherwise, deny them due to listing control

I have a question. To add a product to Amazon I need to enter a SKU number, I purchased items from my wholesaler but where do I find the SKU number? Do I ask the wholesaler for it? This is where I'm stuck at so far.
Typically, SKU numbers are listed on the product's packaging - usually above the product's barcode.

@@junglescout Makes sense. The thing is that I purchased many pairs of gloves at wholesale price and they were not individually packed. Just many pairs in one big box.
I just want to make sure, are you referring to the SKU or the UPC/GTIN? Because the SKU can be anything you want to assign to the product. You can create one which is typically being used for your own business' internal inventory.
With the low completion buy box how many should be within the 2 percent

@@junglescout So i have found a product with 10 sellers. But i think 4 of them have a 2 percent price difference from the lowest price. So to be classed as low competition how many should be within that 2 percent price range

The recommended is less than 10 quality sellers within the Buy Box, so it is best to review these sellers in terms of ratings and price points.

if amazon has the buy box and you price your item at the same price, does the buy box still rotate
Here are 5 ways to win the Buy Box on Amazon:
- Sell products in a new condition. Typically, the seller who wins the Buy Box will offer a new version of the product.
- Offer competitive pricing. Amazon equates low prices with happy customers.
- List as a Prime seller. .
- Keep strong inventory levels.

Hi Jungle Scout team, is it possible that the manufacturer is not the brand? If so, how would we know that the manufacturer has the rights to sell the brands products? Same for the distributor, how can we find out if they have the right to sell a brands products?
You will need to contact the brands or ensure the manufacturer has the correct re-sale paperwork.

You can create a listing inside Seller Central, and from there Amazon might ask you for written permission from the authorized distributor.

Each brand owner has their own requirements but if they accept, and you become one of their resellers, you can use FBA for storage and fulfillment services and send them to your buyers.

Hi there! We highly recommend having those as it'll make it easier to operate. At the very least, you'll want to obtain resale certificates for your items (Amazon will require this).
