If they have to be the same address and we’re using fba, then how would that work? Wouldn’t the ship to address have to be the prep center or Amazon warehouse? Thanks!

I have a question: Can you sell an item on amazon fba if the brand and item is not listed yet on amazon?do you need some kind of permission from the brand/distributor to create the listing or you can do it with out such permission?
You can list it, but you would need to create an entire listing for it from scratch similar to private label.
Also, be ready that some products might need additional approvals. I faced a problem with listing a kids toy, Amazon requires for toys a Child Protection Certificate, that of course I don’t have and manufacturer won’t give it to me 🙅🏼♂️

You would find the invoice in your account on the site, if not email support and ask them for a copy.

I am fairly new on Amazon and I am trying to get ungated in Nike I accidentally ordered 10 of a product that is sold on Amazon, but it is a different color. The color of the product I bought is not sold on Amazon. It is a baby onesie with the Nike logo on it, I ordered plain gray and that particular one on Amazon comes of striped or same onesie but it is striped! Do you recommend I re-order the exact same one that is being sold on Amazon and return the one I got or can I just use it as a variation color? Eh you can try it and see if it works but if it doesn’t then you know why. To make sure it works you will need the exact same product that is on amazon.

No, you can use the product for the ungate and then return it without having to send it into amazon.

How do ou know if the product matches? I cannot find a UPC, ASIN, or anything besides that sites product code for the product. I see a very similar picture on amazon, i just would like to know if theres a code i can match up to be 100% sure
if your supplier doesn't have the matching UPC, you will just need to ask if it's a matching product if you have any concerns, or if they provide a picture, make sure it's the same product.
Hey brotha, so with the ungating of groceries is that all groceries or that specific brand you showed us?
that ungates the grocery category but there may still be some brands that will need the additional ungate.
I got a few invoices for some of the beauty brands from my supplier and I applied for their ungating. Everything on the invoices was similar except for the product description ofcourse. I got approved for a few but not the others so I am not sure what the actual difference was. I met the amazon requirements on the invoices as well which explains why I got approved to sell some of those brands.
You'll just have to reapply, and explain how it meets the requirements. Sometimes amazon can be finicky with ungating
This does not work as of 11/12/2023. The reason that they denied was...
"-- You have provided a order confirmation file. We are unable to accept retail receipts, online order confirmations, packing slips, sales orders, pro forma invoices, or sales quotes for approval. Provide an invoice from a manufacturer, distributor, or your supplier that reflects the itemized list of goods that you bought."
Appreciate the video but just a heads up Amazon is not accepting the stores invoices that you included in your video anymore.
This is actually what I'm helping people avoid with this video. The sites I mention provide actual invoices and one is a wholesaler.

No you get one after it has shipped out. You can also contact support and ask for it.

Yes you are open in the entire category but there may still be brands that are gated within that category.
Follow the steps in the video and you can find one.
I did this and received an email almost instantly telling me that I've been approved. When I go check other products, even simply organic, it still reads "approval required". Does it take time to update and reflect on my seller central account? Also, could you tell me/us the difference between approval required and restricted?

either will work. Frontier has added new requirements to order, so if it's too much of a hassle for you, you can always use target.

You can just leave it, close it, or delete it. But if you close it or delete it, make sure you're past the return window so you don't get stuck with stranded inventory.

So I heard that whatever address you use to set up. Consumers are able to see that information. So I’m starting out and I really don’t want my address out there like that. So I’ve heard that using a P.O. Box is not that bad. But what do you do when you ship to your house but that isn’t the address you use on your account?

Example: We want to ungate Adidas. Buy 10 units of the adidas product, that amazon says you are gated in. Buy it off of Soccer, and submit the invoice they give you.

Does buying from Kohl's wit hteir invoice works ? Like Ungating the Brands like Hasbro etc.? You buy stuf you cet the invoice, apply to the AMZ. getungated and then return the goods back to KOhl;s and you don loose money. Is it legit ?

If Amazon accept the supplier or distributor invoice for the product we want to sell on Amazon, then we don't need approval of the brand for the product to sell in Amazon, since Amazon accept the distributor invoice.

Correct, but there is a difference from being approved by amazon to sell it on their platform and the brand themselves allowing you to sell it on amazon. That is why it is important to check for any signs of IP issues when doing product research.
On the Selling application for Brand -- I've been seeing ASIN on the list that requires it "Dated on or before Nov 6, 2023 (within 180 days); does that mean perma-ungate due to not being early?

You won’t see it if you’re doing PL, which is what you’re doing. This video focuses on what you’ll run into if you’re doing wholesale or arbitrage.

No it just means you currently cannot. Get some sales and let some time pass by and try again.

No. If you're doing arbitrage or wholesale, stay away from Alibaba.
What if the specific item you want to sell says "Not Available" instead of "Apply to Sell", is there a workaround to ungate? Or is this a no go item?

This is the problem I had with Frontier Coop… they cancelled my order and said they are not taking orders unless you provide a business license.
The site I want to buy products from does not sell more than 8 products per product.

You can try an online receipt from Costco, but not with one that you get in store.
I'm having a hard time getting an explanation as to how losses can occur due to buying 10 items to obtain an invoice. If a product is bought from a wholesaler at a discount, why would a loss be incurred??? Is there some sort of fee that could make someone sell at a loss??? If this is the case, why don't all transactions in which products are being bought for the purpose of being resold lead to losses??? I hope my question is clear. Thanks.
If we're talking about ungating, we are willing to sell at a loss for the ungating order "10 units" so that it opens up the entire brand. You do not have to do this though, you can source the brand until you find something profitable then purchase that to get ungated, this usually means a more expensive 10 unit order and the risk of not getting ungated is still there and then you will lose more money.

It’s not a loss if you’re using the 10 units to get ungated.
