Greetings Friends! This was my most difficult project of all time, taking up a lot of my time and effort. This is the longest video on the channel ever. I wanted to show in this video as much as possible all the details and tricks that I did while building this legendary Ferrari F40. I hope you enjoy watching and the end result. I was expecting a certain amount of detail, just like any other restoration, but man, that was another level of detail! It is truly the most detailed restoration of a model car I've seen! So congratulations! It really looks amazing 😍

Hi, very good job. Your restoration is very impessive. Only a little mistake, haha. Your cutout of the ventilation slots (7:03) is wrong. Before you cutout small slot. That was good, little sanding to 1,5 mm or 2 mm. Then putty from back to the front of the slot (like the photo). And i miss the F 40 logo above the slot. Maybe on other photoetched parts are this available. Before painting, cut out the F 40 area then close the hole with putty like the thick of the F 40 photoetched part. Another idea is, you buy an used plastic model and cut out the F 40 Logo. But your job is very good, please, don't worried. That is only a tip for your. Have a good day, bye.
Hi. I know that the cutout of the ventilation slots is not correct, since it turned out initially crooked, I had to make them larger so that they look equally even
Awesome build! Inspirational! For the F40 enthusiasts out there, the pre-production F40s did have 5 slots in the rear fenders. When they reached the production model, they went instead with 4 slots, so technically, the original model was not inaccurate.

4:09 Where did you get those metal parts? Did you make them?
Would it be better to separate this into two videos? I'm sure the weathering/adding rust and damages part takes some time as well, instead of just saying it's abandoned, since you know model cars don't deteriorate like this
Surprised it took me scrolling this long to find someone else calling it out , the red "dirt" and paint swabs over it and perfect screws coming out lol

Awesome! I still have that exact same F40 scale model since i was young. It only has a small paint chip on the hood and i lost the spoiler, because somehow i thought it looked cooler when i was young. 😎

😮😶 You did achieve the finish on the seats to mimic alcantara. Can you give me a hint into your trick, please. I need this inspiration to go further. I am neady of a proper technique to acheive that autoart-like seat texture.
I added baby powder (Talc) to the matte red paint, thus I achieved such a texture)

I just pulled out my 1/12 Model F40 that I never finished. It’s actually 32 years old. I didn’t know much about painting back then, now I do a lot of custom figures and dio’s. I was planning on taking apart what I could and paint/ airbrush everything. I was thinking to myself… how can I make the seats look not so plastic and wondering how to give the seats a textured feel. Now I know, and that carbon fiber trick, oh that is awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Master Build , An Old Bburago mold from the 80's with a detail up Photo etch kit gives Kyosho Hi End F40 model a run for its money.

Oh my word!!! When I saw the photoetched parts I said "oh my... Good restore is geting realy, realy serious this time" and yes, what an amazing, marvelous restoration, this is perfection. You are a true modeler. There are many modelers whom they don't build a model if the model is not from Tamiya (I'm talking about plastic models) cause many brands have moulding errors and sometimes pieces don't fit into where they are suposed to fit so, modeler has to sand or cut or modified/fix the piece so it fit properly or make pieces from scratch and they just say "oh no, I don't build that brand cause sometimes pieces just don't fit into place, I build Tamiya only" and you, You are doing things from scratch and WITH DIE CAST METAL, like opening vents on the body oh and paintwork oh my, it's just outstanding 😊. You are now Master restore instead of Good. I'm gonna upload some Bburago's Diablo videos about what I've been doing and modifiying to it. Once again, what a master piece you've done 😊😊 with this Bburago's F40, I think it's better than the Kyosho's F40 high end model.

7:03 Congrats, a really nice restoration, but I have noticed that the "Ferrari F40 Prototype 1987" has 5 back cuts.
I believe this is a model of the "Ferrari F40 Prototype 1987" so it was probably fine with the 5 cuts as well. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

This took a lot longer to be revamped/recalled or resurrected. To be dealing with electrical parts makes it a little more complicated. Total concentration was needed. It's hard to believe where this thing has been at first.
