Nightwish have had 3 female singers, first Tarja Turunen followed by Anette Olzon (olsson) and then the current one Floor Jansen.

Ohhh I love the Finnish band The Rasmus, and I'm happy they were #6 with In The Shadows on this list. I see them as an alternative rock-pop band. 🖤
I grew up with bands like Europe and Roxette so much love for them always. ❤

And the current singer Floor Jansen also have a connection with Sabaton as she is married to the drummer Hannes van Dahl. But overall I would suggest to try to listen to some of Sabaton songs, as they are all based on real history and mostly all of the time military history. They have a separate channel on TH-cam called Sabaton History where they have a historian going through the background and details of the songs which is very interesting.
If I could recommend one song Night Witches (Animated Story Video), No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video), Bismarck (and yes it is the German Battleship from WW2), and "En Livstid i Krig" (Live from Gothenburg, use subtitles for this one) (En livstid i krig = A lifetime of war).
For something more personal for Canadians there is a song of Native Canadian sniper hero of WW1 with the song "Ghost in the Trenches".
I really enjoy you videos! Love from Sweden!

My favourites are The final count down and Carrie with Europe. 🎶 They are legends. From Upplands Väsby, a suburb in Stockholm.

What a strange list - it included very few "rock songs". Not saying that the songs are bad at all, but they were mostly metal, e.g. Sabaton and most Finnish bands, or pop like Roxette. Have to wonder about the criteria?

      @MaxSujyNorden  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

No idea, but I changed the title to include "Metal" in it because I think you are right.

The song you really seemed to like Max is "Utan dina andetag" (Without your breaths) by the Swedish band KENT
You guys should really give their songs a listen if you have the time. They're A-MA-ZING! I have their Album collection box, autographed and everything.
I'm a little sad that they're not more recognized outside of Sweden, because they would really deserve to be so. I suppose it's because they mostly made Swedish music, and there aren't too many good translations available. I guess I might have to try to help with that. Translate the lyrics and put it in the comments of their videos when I have the time.
They have put out English versions of some of their songs, but they're often not a direct translation of the original song, they tend to change it a bit, and I understand that that might need to happen for the song to sound good or make more sense, but it makes the non-Swedish listeners miss out on some of the greatness of the originals, so I feel translations of the original lyrics are often better than the English versions. I also feel like the lead singer Joakim's voice sound much better in Swedish. It conveys more feeling to the listener when he sings in Swedish.
When I listen to Swedish music I often say that I love to listen to my three Joakim's~
    Joakim Berg from KENT
    Joakim Brodén from Sabaton
And Joakim Thåström who's mostly known as just Thåström
All of them are great Swedish artists

This must be a personal list. The songs are good but some of them definetly don't belong in a general list. Some of them definetly do but some of them should be placed different.

Sorry but Roxette is not rock or metal. It is pop

Eh, no. Sweden has the highest amount of metal bands per capita. So that comment about Finland having more metal bands is wrong. The difference between Sweden and Finland in terms of metal would be the sub-genres, which are bigger, and in music in general Sweden delivers in all genres across the board while Finland musically is known ONLY for metal (not counting someone like Jean Sibelius which is classical music. I also think he was Finnish-Swedish judging by his looks and the names of his parents and his own surname).

Eh, no. Finland has 84.5 metal bands per 100 000 citizens (most in the world by a wide margin.) Followed by Iceland and Sweden at around 52 per 100 000 citizens.

Sweden has more metal bands (~5410) than Finland (~4683), but population of Sweden is ~10.6 million and population of Finland is ~5.6 million.
There are ~83.6 Finnish metal bands per 100,000 citizens and ~51.0 Swedish metal bands per 100,000 citizens. That means Finland has more metal bands per capita.

    • @toinenosoite3173

Interesting. As I have always thought that F has the most band per capita, I googled and the first result is as follows: "Finland is most metallic with 53.5 metal bands per 100,000 people, followed by Sweden and Norway tied at 27.2, and then Iceland at 22.7." Of course, there were also other results, but F was always the first in "most metal bands per capita".
Do you have some other information? I would be very interested to know.
