This list (made by someone) did littlebit repeat it self. Too many really good was forgotten example from Finland. Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Wintersun, Apocalyptica, The 69 Eyes, Battle Beast, Hanoi Rocks, Amorphis and many more....
Many people know bands like HIM (since 1991), The Rasmus (1994), Sunrise Avenue (2002) and Poets of the Fall (2003), but don't know that they are from Finland. Even in Europe, where these bands are very popular. People generally know that Sweden is one of the biggest music exporters in the world (number 3 after the USA and the UK), but people usually know Finland only for our metal music.
Swede here, we are actually number two now after only the US. Ghost (Swedish) is a fantastic band and please listen to their music, you will be instantly hooked. 😁🤘
@@Jozz421jap. Thats very True. Dont know why but Personally ive allways liked swedish hård rock. Eclipse, treat, Nestor.... Solence, dead by april....we(finns)just try To take what is left from music business after sweds.....
New subscriber here! Okay here's a list of best nordic bands for you guys to make reaction videos (I will 100% sure watch them all 🙂): Children of Bodom, Sentenced, Nightwish, Arch Enemy, In Flames. So there's a deep rabbit hole to start with 🤣
There are more metal bands per capita in Finland than anywhere else, even Sweden can't get close to it. Sweden has more successful bands though.. I sound engineer in a local rock club here in Finland, if i said that from about 30 bands i did last year... 25 of them were metal or HC punk. We just went thru our fall line up... all of them metal. Brazil has a good reputation here for being a metal country too, i would bet that every single metal band in that list has been in Brazil several times. I know Sonata Arctica guys, they were there.. i think last winter.
It may be worth it to check out Swedish songwriter/producer Max Martin and what songs he has written. Only McCartney has more number one Billboard hits than him
I’m dutch and I really like scandinavian folk, rock and metal bands. Nightwish Ghost Sabaton Havnatt Kaipa White willow Wardruna Aurora Heilung Evergrey Certainly listen to the song Helvegen by Wardruna with guest singer Aurora. th-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VMqYgGc4OT31Z4p1 For Heilung, go for the live at Castlefest concert. th-cam.com/video/h1BsKIP4uYM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YX4FLViTKc3N-Wnj
Timestamp 4:31 the band is Millencolin, Swedish new wave punk band, skateboarders loved this band at least back in the days, the song is "no cigar" th-cam.com/video/OChjVLHlkVE/w-d-xo.html but also try this one: th-cam.com/video/D9noB8sY3yc/w-d-xo.html
So happy that Sweden let a few Finnish bands to snug in as well. That was kinda Sweden heavy list but if it was truly top-50 it's understandable. Europe and Roxette got a bit of head start in this competition. During those days Finland didn't have international success stories.
*I have to criticize this list a bit, because it don't show an overview of Swedish and Finnish bands, there were a lot missing....too many times Sabaton [ although I like them ], Ghost, Roxette.....* 💿🎵🤔
*HIGHLY recommending these bands : HIM [Finland], THE 69 EYES [Finland], SPIRITUAL BEGGARS [Sweden], ARCH ENEMY [Sweden/Canada], APOCALYPTICA [Finland], LORDI [Finland], CHILDREN OF BODOM [Finland], THE RASMUS [Finland], AMARANTHE [Sweden/Finland/Denmark], SUNRISE AVENUE [Finland], EVERGREY [Sweden], RECKLESS LOVE [Finland], SONATA ARCTICA [Finland], BEAST IN BLACK [Finland/Hungary/Greece], BATTLE BEAST [Finland], ....* ⬅️🎸🎵💿🔊😈
To be honest, in my opinion, this isn't that good of a list. Good music, absolutely! However, it is very skewed towards Swedish music, and some not that well known bands, too. My guess is that the creator of the list is a Swede not that well versed in Finnish music. Of course, I can be totally wrong. By the way, I would never have included Roxette in a "rock and metal" list at all. Nevertheless, a great group that made some excellent songs.

And you could go on with the same with sweden, denmark, norawy ....
I have to say that we Nordics have "few" amazing rock and metal bands 🤘🏻
Sentenced, Haloo Helsinki, Korpiklaani, Alma.. so much you have to listen and not just a 3 second capture
Brasil has legendary Sepultura, loved by many European Heavy Metal fans..
Don't forget the orginal Nervosa and Sarcófago.

@@Jozz421I always go to Ghost concerts when they come to Finland. They have very big fan base here 👀
Think south korea is high that list too..... 2023 9/10 the most selling music world wide came from korea. That 1/10 was Taylor Swift from states....
Well, if we count per capita no other country is even close to Sweden!
