    To help with breakage I would say get yourself a steam cap, a protein treatment, a moisturizer mask, a routine 😅 and a prayer

      Heavy on a prayer 😭 but I have a hooded dryer cap that I use for deep conditioning and I’m looking at some protein treatments

    Getting a texturizer / relaxer for the first time at age 29 has been a game changer. I can't believe I let fear mongering hold me back from this life of ease. I can finally enjoy my hair and wash and DC every week. When I tried that as a natural, I ended up with heat damage and breakage from detangling. I don't gotta wear a bonnet to the gym and live under wigs. I haven't worn a wig in the past 2 months since getting the texturizer.

    For dryness / breakage: On wash day, after conditioning, seal in grapeseed oil with Aussie Miracle Moist conditioner (the deep conditioner is even better). Cover with shower cap and seal in heat with plastic wrap. Rinse out after 5-10 minutes. Sometimes I even do 30 minutes. 👍🏽 So soft! Hair is instantly stronger!

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've heard so many great things about grapeseed oil! Also, I love the Aussie Miracle deep conditioner but I have been seeing some people link that product to breakage.. so I am taking a break for a while to see if it was contributing to my breakage.

    Now for the roots you can use conditioner water I.e dilute some moisturizing conditioner and spray your roots daily,you can also spray your ent hair with it

      Come through with the gems !! Thank you girl! I already deep condition often but I’m definitely going to do protein treatments every month & prior to getting braids I was doing really good with moisturizing & sealing so I’ll keep that up!💕💕

    Can’t wait to see your twist out and wash day videos sis! I’m thissssssss close to texturizing my hair this weekend but I’m looking at it in the mirror like 😢 my hair is probably longer and healthier than its even been in my last 10+ years natural but I like wearing long acrylic nails and thats become my biggest issue. I can’t braid or twist my hair with long claws and I get so many more snags, I get impatient, my arms get more tired bc it takes me so much longer (and I’m just not a salon girlie I’ve been doing my own hair since I was 14) so here I yam. All this being said, I just got back from the gym and my hair needs to be washed but I’m just not doing all that tonight… and probably not tomorrow either 🫠

      Lol yeahh I was in the same boat. My hair was soo healthy but I just couldn’t keep up with it with my daily lifestyle and the gym so I complete understand the struggle! I do my wash days with my press ons and surprisingly
      I never have any issues lol

    Oooh and btw I had chronic breakage no matter what state my hair was in too until I tried olaplex! Thats why I’m so happy with my length and thickness now, even after bleaching.

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ik you said you have the entire system but do you also have products 1 and 2? They’re not sold in retail stores bc they’re made for licenses professionals 😬 (but you can use #1 in your texturizers the same way stylists use them in bleach jobs and #2 is basically the same as the most popular product #3)

    Ignore my other messages 😅 I’m commenting while watching. I’m gonna re-texturize my hair soon I was natural since like 7 then textured it in 2014. And did my edges only in 2019 but I’m gonna do it again ! Sounds like olaplaex is something I need to get my hands on.

    With low porosity hair (at least mine) and oil….I’ve learned to use oil as a treatment every 2-3 hydrating deep conditions. Daily oil just dries it’s out/seals in the dryness. Moisturize every few days but leave the oil to a treatment.
    My hair used to be dry and itchy, and I would go & oil my scalp. It literally made it worse. Now I dab a smidge of blue magic hemp and n my scalp and it’s fine. To help my water suck in the water on wash day--HOT WATER soak (per say) let the water run on the hair until it starts to accepts it > shampoo x2 > hydrating deep condition (rinse in cool) > liquid leave in and thermal protectant. Viola! --(if curly style I use a rehydrating spray & a cream)
    All this to say, I’m gonna texlax next week. I need to swift styling while maintaining hair health. Thanks for the tips!!

    It’s kinda sad to me that we don’t feel our hair looks decent if it’s natural. I’m here because my 4c 18in hair is beyond overwhelming. I’m thinking of texturizing it but really wish I had the energy to not. 🤦🏾‍♀️

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's not even about it looking "decent".. more so it wont stay the way you styled it for long periods of time depending on the conditions you live in! Also it just takes a lot of patience and energy to maintain it... which most of us just don't have. I suggest trying all options before deciding to texturize if you think you'll have guilt about it afterwards!

      @@beesadditytv Thanks so much the texturizer really did beautiful on my hair but when I used the neutralizer it's like it took the texture out of my hair The first time I did it I did it with a another neutralizer shampoo and it came out great but the second time that I did it I did with the neutralizer that comes with the texturizer it made my hair so dry and it madeit look like I did nothing to my hair at all. So I will definitely check out the Affirm and hopefully I can still use a texturizer because I didn't texturizer my hair all the way. Appreciate your response. God bless😊🙏🏽

    Do you think you can do a twist out without blow drying the hair first?

    • @beesadditytv
      @beesadditytv  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      honestly, I don't think that'll be the best decision for my hair because I know my hair never does well when styling from wet to air dry... it's just way to dry. But I'll do some research on some products and see if I can figure that out
