A Wonderful Life was the absolute best. The graphics, the music, the fact your character, your family and the rest of the town ages with time. I truly believe there will never be a game as good again 🥺

No offense but why do the graphics get progressively worse as the years continue. It's like they stopped trying-
They have new creaters. The originals lost the name rights and sell their game now as Story of Seasons.

@@MM-mn7dg Natsume approach Marvelous to bring the game into US market, and doing the translation to English, as the results, Harvest Moon was born, but on 2012, Marvelous no longer licensing the series to Natsume, resulting them to lose the naming right.
Marvelous later on have Xseed to do the translation for them, but as they no longer can use Harvest Moon on their title, they rename the game to Story of Season instead.
Natsume on the other way, are developing their own game that similar to Harvest Moon and literally, continue the Harvest Moon series.

Back to Nature was my childhood. Every time i finished my homework, i rushed to my PS1 and get into the game. I really loved it. I couldn't recall how long i played but i did get married to the Nurse iirc and had our first baby. It has been 20+ years since then. Man i feel like crying now T_T

Last time I play when I was a kid on my psp, I got married to Anne that girl at the Inn, but after like 2 years in game time I fall in love with Karen so I dumped Anne lol
Not criticising them, but Back to Nature and HM64 always made me feel a bit odd. I preferred the GBA games.
Back to Nature was my favourite I always get excited when I get a chance go play it
This game is forever precious as the 2003 mineral town style. All the 3D version just never felt the same again and I hated the new art style for character profile. Pokémon transitioned from 2D to 3D but it never felt weird.

2003-2011 really was the best era of Harvest Moon. Magical Melodies, Tale of Two Towns, Animal Parade, A Wonderful Life, some of the best titles in the series imo

In my opinion, the best games were between a wonderful life/friends of mineral town and Tale of two towns.
The older ones weren't great but the newer ones... Well... Some are straight up garbage.
Well, I need to agree on the newer one.
I think my favorite is A New Beginning (though I might be a little biased because I’ve been playing it nonstop for the past few days) with Rune Factory Frontier being a close second. I also remember loving Another Wonderful Life as a kid, but I don’t know how well it would hold up today (not like I can test it since my Wii isn’t working right now).
Idk, I put so many hours into Tale of two towns, and so many things just fucking annoy me whenever I try to go back to it.
Upgrades only once a month via the billboard system, rising foraged item quality making collecting materials completely useless, the fucking rotting system in a game this focussed on cooking, the mine being unlocked incredibly late...
It is still my most played HM game since DS, but god dammit it does not hold up all that well, which is a shame, since I really like many of the characters.

A month ago I got Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, got addicted, and then got Pioneers of Olive Town on my switch. Probably gonna get Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life too.

Another Wonderful Life is the game I watched my older sister and her friends play. Hero of Leaf Valley was my first game.
What a great memory, I myself used to just watch other people playing as I can't afford any handheld game console during my childhood.
People here sleep on rune factory 3. The dialogue is amazing, the world is huge, the action is awesome, the events are great, the graphics are incredible and the marriage options are literally perfect. The farming is easy but quite good you have areas to grow crops that are the same season year round.
As much as I love Harvest Moon, this video really makes me realize how few Ive played, with the countless handheld HM games
Also Animal Parade is my favorite. I have HM64, A Wonder Life, Another Wonderful Life, Magical Melodies, the two PS2 titles, Tree of Tranquility, Animal Parade, RF Frontier, RF ToD, Pioneers of Olive Town and One World

I always thought that Harvest Moon: A new beginning was kinda popular but didn’t see anyone here attached to this game as I was. It’s a really good game in the family gameplay spectrum, yours kids will grown up and learn to cook with you and your wife/husband, and the gameplay with the city progression was also great. Both A New Beginning and Friends of Mineral Town will always have a special place in my heart❤️
after watching this i still keep to my opinion that friends of mineral town is the best HM for me, this is literally my childhood game and whenever i got bored i think about this game and how much enjoyment it gave me when i was a little boy, i was hyped after release of remake story of seasons but price killed me, but recently it was on sale so it was instant buy for me, i still dont have much enjoyment as first mineral town but it definitely brings back me to the days when everything was easier. I just wish I could play friends of mineral town one more time but unluckly i have GBA and any emulator i download isnt working, but this is the only one game that i aint bored playing and is still enjoyable after this many years...

Tree of Tranquility was my first and still my favorite HM game❤️I want to get another Wii just to play it again. The ones after it just dont feel the same.

This game never received a budget it deserved which is shameful considering how much it actually ends up selling. Marvelous thinks this game is not deserving to have the budget.

Animal Parade's graphic is one the best till this day. I really want to play something of that graphic quality. Though the Story of Season: Pioneers of Olive Town have a similar graphic quality. Sadly it's in Nintendo Switch... I want it in PC or PS4 or something...
Story of Seasons PoOT is most likely going to come to Steam and PS4. Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral has been announced to come on PS4 so PoOT announcement is next!
There's more of these games than I thought. Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life was the first one I played and I'm patiently waiting for the remake. :)
Man. I played Harvest Moon way back it first came out on Gameboy. The games that left the best impression for me is the Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, Rune Factory Series and the Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns which I loved the most.
I hope they make another Harvest Moon game with the elements of Friends of Mineral Town and Grand Bazaar!
I'm saving up to buy a Nintendo Switch to play more of these Harvest Moon games and Story of Seasons!

To be honest I did play video game a lots but for Harvest Moon, I only play some of it.
Grand Bazaar and Tale Of Two Towns are still my fave Harvest Moon game.

Mywhole childhood and life in one video. I play since the first game and grew up with the whole series. My mother loved harvest moon too. We played alot of evenings together, most back to nature and a wonderful life. I can't wait to play the remake of a wonderful life. ♡

But harvest moon, zelda and pokémon made it alot better. :3 ♡ most if i gone to the hospital again and wasn't able to move alot. Your game boy was your best friend in this situation. =D it's a reason why HM/SoS are my favourite game series, together with pokémon & zelda. ♡
Back To Nature is dear to my heart, not only did me & my sibling enjoy it but it was also one our Mum came to love. She'd snuggle down with a glass of wine and the fireplace going on a winter evening, and "farm a day" with our old Playstation. Very very fond memories. :') Now I'm playing Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town on my Switch and it's like coming home!
HMFOMT was my first harvest moon game. the music, the gameplay, I just love everything about it
I recently got Friends of Mineral Town for my GBA. I have never played a harvest moon game so I am pretty excited to play one.
for me, nothing beats, Fomt/MFomt, Mineral Town, DS/DSCute, island of Happiness, back to nature, boy & girl, sos : fomt, loving all of those versions

Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons are both very wonderful franchises! It's a pity that Natsume and Marvelous stopped working together, but I believe that they're both doing just fine making farming games on their own! My first, and, so far, only Story of Seasons game is Harvest Moon 3D: The Tale of Two Towns. I love it very much. I live in Bluebell Village, and on my farm, Rosie Farm, where I raise lots of animals that I love dearly. I'm married to Cam, and we have a baby daughter named Amelia. I love both my husband and my daughter very dearly. While I do love playing this game, I also want to play more games in the series. My birthday is in December, so every year, I make a wishlist for both my birthday and Christmas! One of the Nintendo games that I'd like to get this year is Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. I want to live in Westown, marry Wayne and have a daughter named Amelia (I've been wanting to name her that before my Tale of Two Towns daughter was born, so when it became one of the names that Cam suggested for her, it made me happy and decide to name her Amelia). I know that I'll love Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns! 👸💗💟🌹💐🌸🎀🐱🦄🍰

The newer ones look worse than the first ones, its a shame what they did to this series
it's not the same creators. the creators call their games 'story of seasons' now, so you can check those to see what they're actually doing for the series.

gets me emotional how far this game has come. hm:fomt and hm:mfomt were my introduction to the series. i got the 101 in 1 GBA cartridges and luckily, both of the games were in it! HAHA. until it went to the PSP, Wii and DS lite era. and now with adult money, i already pre-ordered the AWL for switch! cannot wait

As far as I know I played each and everything of these XD , my favorites are the from the first one to BTN plus HM3 ,mineral town and more friends of mt. Best games ever totally 5 stars! Some of the others are not that good in my opinion while some of them are also good but just not that much compared to their early versions. Simplicity is what I like the most about harvest moon.

Not enjoying the newer harvest moons, not saying they are terrible, its just not my cup of tea, to each their own I guess, but ah it feels so good seeing the older games and how many people remember them fondly its a shard to explain feeling like a family bond with people given by the beautiful memories this games have given us

7:36 Joguei muito no PS2 e apesar de ser muito criticado pelos fãs esse foi meu primeiro Harvest Moon e também foi o precursor para a franquia de Rune Factory ao misturar elementos de RPG e Fazenda. O Innocent Life é o meu favorito pela nostalgia de acordar cedo, ligar o PS2 e iniciar esse game. Além disso, me fez gostar desse gênero e é graças a ele que amo jogar e acompanhar os lançamentos de Story Of Seasons, Stardew Valley e até mesmo os Harvest Moon atuais. Espero que um dia a Marvelous Inc faça remakes incriveis desses jogos já que a nostalgia é algo que sempre fala mais alto para quem é fã de verdade. 🥰

When i was I kid i played Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness with my old friend. Back in Med school I bought Story of Seasons 3DS. I didn't play for long, because I was pretty bad and got bored very soon. Many years later, I got IOH again and completed it. It was so fun! So currently, I'm playing SOS and I'm enjoying it. I also bought trio of town but i haven't played it yet. What harvest moon/story of season do you suggest to buy?
I played harvestmoon back to nature, mineral town, another wonderful life, innocent life, save the homeland, hero of leaf valley. So far i enjoyed them all! I still play them in my laptop. Though i am curious about the new harvestmoon

It depends on which game you're talking about. They add and remove features constantly. I haven't played every one in the series, so I am not an expert on the topic.
Usually the differences are with graphics, events and which animals you are able to raise.
Some games are spin-offs.
Innocent Life, for example, is a futuristic version of Harvest Moon, and the protagonist is an android child. Therefore, you are unable to marry.
I've always been interested in Innocent Life, but I keep hearing that it's boring, so I don't know if I'll ever play it.
Rune Factory has RPG elements, so you are required to battle monsters.
I think that you should start with Friends of Mineral Town. And be sure to use a guide. I've known the series since childhood, but I never got very far because I don't understand what I'm doing 😅
