I've gotten all my nylon scarves from the craft store that sells cloth like Jo-Ann. I ask for them in 2 foot by 2 foot (usually) and cut them if need be and hem them with hem glue (no sewing required)
I started following your channel. Ive watched your hairstyle videos. I work in a rest home and they LOVE the hairstyles and the accessories. Thank you !! I love the pin up , rockabilly style. I appreciate you putting up the videos. You have made me and a lot of elderly people happy.
I genuinely really enjoy your channel, I love how much content you have and the amount of effort you put in.:3 Someone can have the coolest style in the world but if they only have like 3 grainy webcam videos I just can't keep interest. You do a wonderful job with your channel.^O^
Pearls are probably my most worn accessory! I just have a cheap faux pearl necklace and pair of earrings. Also, I adore vintage or reproduction confetti lucite earrings for some sparkle!
I'm all about the pastels and florals and all that so I also have pearls and beads and things that I wear for a less rockabilly look and more just plain vintage (I think, it's all very confusing). I love those B.A.I.T. Saddle shoes though, mint is definitely one of my favourite colours.
This was awhile ago. Did you start the vintage lifestyle! I hope so it’s been 6 years. I’d say hair comb side, Nairobi hair setting lotion, vintage wet set rollers.not Velcro red lips 👄
Hi Miss Cherry, Thank you for the Classic Hardware shout out and for showing our Retrolite anchor necklace in this video! We just opened a store on Magnolia Blvd in Burbank, CA right near Playclothes. Please stop by when you are out and about doing your vintage and retro shopping! Thanks Again - Karyn
Loved this Cherry - thank you! I have bought some of my most amazing costume jewellery from Ebay, also beautiful vintage scarves and bags/purses, ans never forget thrift/charity shops where you can find some amazing treasures and the joy is they're unique and no one else will be wearing them! Happy dress-up everyone, isn't it great to be a girl?!
Hi! My scary mascara story happened about 5-6 years ago. I bought a major drug store brand of mascara with thickening 'fibers' in it. I don't know if it was an allergic reaction or irritation from the fibers but after a few uses my eyelids at the lashline got red and swelled up so much I could hardly see! Very attractive. Lol! Needless to say I stopped using it and used coldpacks for a couple days. No big tragedy cuz I work at home mostly and could hide out until it was gone. BTW - I love your channel! I don't get dolled up very often but if I need inspiration you are my go-to girl for vintage glam!
We have local vintage fairs every couple of months (usually more in summer) and the stalls have a LOT of nylon scarves. I think they're most definitely vintage, even if they're not they're wonderful. Also, last time I went they were selling a 70's leather jacket for £2 from the USA (I live in the UK)... that was awesome. There's always lots of old patterns too, and household items. So, I'd recommend vintage fairs if anyone finds that some things hard to buy... :-)
I love this video so muuuuch!!!!! This kind of videos are my favorite I think because I just start my new wardrobe and it's difficult for my to find what I want because I live in France, so it's good for me to look at these videos to pull of to compose my wardrobe! So thank you so much, I love you! ♥
I find those Nylon Scarves at Music Stores actually, I think a lot of Clarinet and Flute Players use them to clean out their Musical Instruments. So if there is a Music store around maybe check there. I find them at Thrift stores as well.
For scarves, I get a lot from resale shops, like goodwill, salvation army, etc. especially if there isa locally owned resale shop! I get some super cute accessories from hot topic, also some cute rockabilly dresses too. :-)
For any of you gals (or guys) in the Midwest, go to Ragstock for scarves. They usually have a bin of used and vintage scarves. All kinds. I have about a million from there, and there only 3 bucks.
Just thought I'd add my two cents worth here even though this is a year old. Chiffon hair scarfs are sooo hard to come by unless you shop online. I discovered a jem! Etsy shop- SpellboundBows. OMG they are great!! And she has other types too besides just Chiffon. Hope this helps for anyone looking.
Could you do a video on how to pair scarves with outfits?! I always seem to have trouble pairing the right ones to wear with outfits. Does color scheme matter with scarves like it does with flower accessories?
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! Cherry, would you be so kind as to say what brand/where to get the black little ballet flats that you showed? I need a pair for work!!
A few things I was surprised about is the cute bows, I thought that was very youthful. I guess I’ll try them. the huge hoop earrings don’t seam 1950s Pinup model, also necklaces seam to be the go-to pieces for the stage. Or at minimum the pearl necklace so what others think. Is your stand out acceptable era period accessory? Ones you love?
As regards the sunglasses- would it also be possible to use a sunglasses case (I always recommend hard ones rather than fabric pouches) to protect good vintage sunglasses in your purse?
Splendette does smaller bracelets. I have the opposite problem when it comes to bracelets but thats the great thing about that company is that they have 3 sizes of bracelets.
I am a purse whore. Ive always loved them as long as i csn remember.Ive collected vintage purses since my teens, back when you could find the greatest vintage in thriftstores for so cheap because not so many people liked to dress that way in 92.I remember finding a lucite box purse for $1.50, imagine my extreme delight!!!!I absolutely love lux DeVille, SOURPUSS, and the bags designed by those labels.Ive got several myself and my collection keeps growing.I like to have my jewelry and purses on display in my room because they are really all pieces of art plus after hoarding accessories for near half a century, its helpful to see what you have and stays organized. Also about bangs, i love my betty bangs, just recut them again, and as always an hour after, im wanting them long again, youd think id make a choice, always when they are longer, i want thrm short, thrn when they are short, i want them longer...I do this whole bangs/fringe v/s longer side swept fringe cycle over and over and over.....Im glad to hear someone else talk about this issue too... thankyou!!!! Im not alone❤️
hello, i love your video! what would you recommend to someone who doesn't ever wear heels, jewelry, dresses etc? I am a tomboy at heart but absolutely love the pin up look and want to slowly incorporate it into my wardrobe. I am a hairdresser so i also need pieces to be functional, comfortable etc. Thank you =]
OMG this video was so cool ! I loved it so much, it's really helpful ! Where did you buy your belts ? And I'd have liked to hear about hats :P Love you, and thank you so much for this video ! :D
Hey Cherry. Great vid!! I have a request, I have just gotten a new job where I have to have my hair up everyday. I was wondering if you could do a mix video of quick and simple vintage-y up dos that don't take long for us who now don't have time to do brilliant hairstyles anymore :( xxx stay beautiful
Your so amazing! Please visit Germany, so i can meet you! :D it's so inspiring to see stuff like this. i wish i counld walk around like you do, but i work at a retail store (in the part with meat and fresh cheese) so it's not so easy.
You are most likely looking for an organza or chiffon type of nylon. But it you do not have the ability to do a pearl edge with a serger then find a nice seam finish so the edges don't fray.
I know she is a bit controversial at this moment... but, you remind me of a young Rose McGowan . ( whom I also thinks looks like Rita Hayworth) 🤭🤩😉 I’m binge watching you today bc I just subscribed.. ( I 💜ed the one with Trevor I wrote to u guys bc my bf is getting his eye removed too😭💕😍)
You forgot creepers/stompers, I don't like to wear heels with jeans... My style is mostly rockabilly/psychobilly... But there's so much more to this style, not only one certain way to look..
I bought bandanas and i cant tie then they are too short :( i don even have a big head. I cant faund a red bandana i found everyting ecsept a red bandana :/

As regards the sunglasses- would it also be possible to use a sunglasses case (I always recommend hard ones rather than fabric pouches) to protect good vintage sunglasses in your purse?
i feel your pain on the teeny tiny wrist ordeal, there are lots of bracelets i would love to wear but...my wrists are way too small for them
can you do a video on beginner hairstyles for people just starting to get into vintage hairstyles
I have a few good ones up already!
Cool stuff, but how much closet space do you have?!!
Splendette does smaller bracelets.
I have the opposite problem when it comes to bracelets but thats the great thing about that company is that they have 3 sizes of bracelets.
Broke College Crafters makes those rose rings. I mean you can find them all over but they have small roses and big and last sale they were only $2!
Check local thrift stores for scarves! I see them all the time, and they're never more than $5-$10 tops.
Cherry can you help me take modern clothe and make them look vintage? It's partically impossible to find vintage clothe where I live.
I can't wear heels :( but I like the way they look.
I am a purse whore. They are called Mala bows... not sure if they are around anymore!

Iron Fist!

Curious as far as nails go what do you recommend as far as color and such?
I've found some good plastic bangles on ebay that would fit you because they're from China where people have tiny wrists.
For the nylon scarves, I couldn't find any so I am going to make them. Is there any specific type of nylon?
You are most likely looking for an organza or chiffon type of nylon. But it you do not have the ability to do a pearl edge with a serger then find a nice seam finish so the edges don't fray.
Thescarletspade thank you I do have a serger. I truly appreciate it.
I found Chiffon scarfs, nice quality too!
