90s kids will know the Sailor Moon phenomenon - our favorite magical girl Usagi Tsukino showing how even perpetually hungry crybabies can fight for love and justice. This breakthrough shoujo manga and anime gave us young women to root for and identify with in a lineup of badass Sailor Senshi.
Universal Studios Japan's Universal Cool Japan 2019 was such an electrifying treat for Moonies like me who flew all the way to Osaka for a Sailor Moon Crystal experience - enjoying themed food, getting our hands on an actual Rainbow Moon Chalice (otherwise known as the Holy Grail from the Sailor Moon S season), and experiencing the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Miracle 4D attraction. It's the ultimate fan service, and my inner 10-year-old did not complain.
In the name of the moon, let's enjoy this lookback!
