I don't think he would have anything in common with Indians other than skin color. Only white people would assume that it would be an Indian comedy because he is brown or of Indian descent. Most second generation Indian immigrants know as much about India or Indians as a millennial knows how to use a fax machine.
His humor is definitely not Indian. Indian American here and most Indian comedy shows are still slapstick. It is changing but even stand up comedy is not like this. His humor just like my son is very American. It is not like if he makes pasta, it becomes Indian pasta! 😂😂😂

Does Nimesh, in fact, have any material at all? If he does, he must just bring it as backup or if a club owner wants to hear what might go down. Nimesh seems to know how to riff off an audience so well that they cannot resist being played for the entire set and they couldn’t care less if he had one original joke to tell. Awesome.

My guess is, hes doin material for about 70-80% of the show, and then does crowdwork for the rest. And every year or two, he takes the best of the material hes been doin in clubs as practice, and turns it into a special which then either gets pitched to a streaming provider or posted to yt.
In his current set, I think he gets super burned out doing the same shit over and over. I went to a show of his this December, last show of a week of double shows, and he was like "I'm bored of this set, let me get to know the front row". He asked how many folks were in the crowd who were at the same show last year and no one were repeat audience members. haha he was like "why do I bother writing new material?!?" 🤣 He eventually did like maybe 50 percent new material, which was awesome, and then like 25 percent crowd work and 25 percent audience questions. One of the best, most intimate and down to earth/humble comedians I've ever seen. Best show I've ever been to hands down.
Nah Nimesh is so much better than Schultz's current direction... Definitely the most underrated comedian but up and coming. He needs to go on some podcasts
Nimesh is a top tier comedian, but I think a lot of his appeal is that he’s just plain likable. There’s minimal pretense or theatrics in his stuff. Can just watch him talk about random shit and it somehow is entertaining. Also what’s that music at the end?
He's good but he laughs too much. I keep getting fed his comedy in shorts which is ok, but it's not a good look as a comedian when you're the one doing most of the laughing. I want to hear your comedy not your constant laughing. Please and thanks.
