dont worry about it lady(yes your a lady now no longer a girl), 40 is next, and you'll either get there slowly and enjoy the road, or time flies by quickly. just remember as long as you do the things in life you want to do then at the end you wont have anything to regret.

When I met you I was struggling with so many health problems, I popped in to see you at lush with a tube on my face and a letter in hand, and you offered me such kindness. At the time, I didn't know how my health was going to go, and if I was going to see my next birthday at all.
That was 8 years ago, I'm turning 25 next week. :) Birthdays are bittersweet, but I'm so glad you're still here. That one positive interaction all those years ago is a bright spark in a tough time for me, and I'm still so thankful you took the time to say hello.

As someone who also suffered mentally their entire adult life, and thought making it to 27 was hard (and had the nicety of my 30th being cancelled at the height of the pandemic), I really want to thank you for saying "I'm grateful I made to 30". Like you I thought the exact same thing growing up, that I'd never make it that far. And even when the worst possible thing that could happen did happen when I turned 30 (i.e. a global pandemic and lockdown), I survived, and I'm glad I did. Life might not necessarily get better as we get older, but it's still worth it once we get through the worst. Your videos are fantastic as always.

Dress rehearsals are good.. I felt the same. My life started basically after my 30s. At 42 I'm still pushing on, and I'm happier now because of all the 20s and 30s stuff.. I matured a lot after 36, and still going. I wasn't a wild child or anything like that, but got better at reacting and handling things as they came along instead of falling apart as I used to. But I wouldn't have been able to handle any of it if I hadn't fallen apart a few times first.. so it's all good. I wish you the best. Happy happy birthday!

Having been a part (a be it a tiiiiiiiny one) of this journey, or at least having followed your journey along via here and other social media, I'm so happy and proud at how far you've come.
I remember finding your channel while searching for videos from the first SiTC and subscribing IMMEDIATELY not only from having similar interests, but more importantly because of the type of person you were. I was fortunate enough to then hangout with you and a few others at SiTC the following year and you were nothing short of humble, kind, and welcoming.
I've never forgotten the struggles you've shared with us, and how you've dealt with them with a fierce determination (even if it hasn't seemed so at the time.) I've never had any doubt that you'd make it this far. Through familial losses, college/uni issues, relationship ups and downs, teaching us about trichotillomania even when it's at it's worst, and through crisis of faith, you've never shied away from being open and honest about things.
You inspire me, and make me feel humble, and you always have. It still amazes me that after YEARS, you still remember who I am, and for that I will always be grateful.
Happy 30th! Time kinda feels like it's flying, I've been watching your videos for about 10 years and I'll be turning 30 in a month. Cheers to our 30s ❤️

I'm a long time viewer now; I started watching your videos around the time I started uni, when you were I think at film school. I'm a few years younger so watching you and relating to you is something I've found helpful; the way you show stages in life feels so real and true to the 'normal' myself and people I know experience, when what others with a following online choose to share often feels more remote. Not to seem parasocial in a weird way but i do in a sense feel like I know you, kind of similar to how I feel when I watch the 7 Up series which I'm kind of obsessed with - if you haven't already I think you might really like watching it.
I turned 27 a couple of months ago and have been thinking a fair bit recently about the big 30 and what I'd like to have done by then, in the context of some really good things that have happened in my 20s, big life developments.
As someone who has also had a lot of social struggles and been very unsure in terms of trying to start a career and balance things in life which seem routine for others but for some of us can feel overwhelming, it's nice to see a kind of kindred spirit getting on in the world, moving forwards and sharing your journey.

It always felt touch and go, just hoping she’d make it another few months, to the next year, and then it suddenly caught up. I’m so glad and grateful that you’ve made it here (albeit as a stranger). I’ll be 25 next year, hitting another milestone, and it’s helpful to remember what you said, that it’s okay to be where we are.

Wow amazing...Happy birthday Rebecca! I think it's been around 10 years ago when I subscribed to your channel. Your videos helped me how to live through struggle, but still not forget the small happy things in life. Especially to hear this from the opposite sexe, was really helpful.
I had/have my own issues and journey as an HSP person. I'm a bit older than you. And yes, when you grow older, you also learn more and grow as a person. My goal is to become the best version of me. My faith also helps me to remind me of this.. All the best ❤

Happy birthday Rebecca! Welcome to the 30 club🎉! I was terrified of turning 30, and then I had a co worker tell me the thirties are when you become more resolute (or I guess steadfast). That gave me comfort and now I am 2 years from 40 and not afraid of the next big milestone.

On the topic - I was so sure I wouldn't survive past 27 and yet here I am. I'll be 30 at the end of March and I don't know how I survived. All I know is that University was the worst part of my life and I think you would agree. My mental health has gone up so much since I stopped being in constant anxiety and panic over deadlines and grades. It took me until 27 to finish my masters degree but I got there in the end.

I've watched your channel for years and years. My 32nd birthday is in a few days. Turning 30 was a weird one. I want my energy back, but this side of 30 has been better. congrats for becoming 30. it is not that bad. about 2 years ago i got finally diagnosed with MS. at your age i had it probably about 5 years already. i´m 47 now. i am afraid of my future but i do also look forward to what might be ahead. i have a job after so many years of unemployment and i am able to visit south korea again. after 14 years of wait next may.
You Future might be different but do not judge urself so hard. You are still here and this is a huge win.

glad to hear from you again Becky. I know these past couple years have been rough but I'm glad to see you doing okay. I never lived with a " I probably won't make it to X age" thought, but I know it must be tough to be so much further into life than you thought you'd go and be able to smile and enjoy a party with your family. My birthday was on the 12th and now at 26 I feel the most lost and lonely I've felt in a while, but I got people who love me and have my back, I feel like that's all we need to make it through.
Enough shpeal, Happy BIG 3-O Hope the years keep bringing you lots of sunshine and ways to cope with the health stuff that comes with this body we inhabit through life.

life speeds up as you get older my 30s and 40s are just a blur and next year i'm 50. I may just blink for a minute and realise i'm 70. don't forget to live our life it can seem very short and no one knows when they will die until they are dying. hoped you had a very Happy Birthday. plus some people never realise what they have achieved in their live until they start looking at what they did with their lives at the end.

I know exactly how you feel, and I reached my 60s in August! I didn't realise I was Autistic till 58, and it is still not a formal diagnosis - there's no point as I have fumbled my way through life this far and I am confident that I can manage through my remaining years without any special help. I think we all look back and think how it could have been if only.... Thankfully your first day in your thirties is only one day after your last in your twenties, and that's the way to take life, one day at a time.
I don't know you other than what you share on YT, but what I see is somebody doing substantially better than I was in my early thirties, and at least you have a diagnosis and, consequently, an understanding of how you are different; role with that. Your art and videography skills are outstanding, make the most of them and stop comparing yourself to others. I would bet a pound to a penny that there are hundreds, if not thousands of NT thirtysomethings out here who look on you enviously. You have a lot there, learn to recognise it, and learn to be thankful for it too! ;-) God bless.

The odd thing about turning 30 is that there seems to be this expectation of getting serious about life and have your life path chosen.
I can honestly tell you I'm 33, married with 2 kids and still feel like a scared little child playing pretend. I'm a wife and a mother but I feel like a fraud. Also 🥳HAPPY BIRTHDAY🎂

I felt the same way at 21, I didn't expect to hit 18 but it didn't really dawn on me that I was a conscious human capable of choices till later on.
"It's okay to be where I am based on the journey I've had" is such a beautiful way of phrasing that feeling.
