- Two folk groups out of New York disbanded, the Journeymen featuring John Phillips, and the Mugwomps which included Denny Doherty and a force of nature named Cass Elliot. In 1968, two very special relationships formed that would help mold music history.

Who knew that Mickey Dolenz was at the heart of all the happenings in Laurel Canyon.

I was around Linda Ronstadt and she was intimidating to me, i was the lead singer for Free Fall and I just felt like a grade school kid in college. The Music Machjne made fun of my shoes in Tucson Arizona in 1968, lol 😝 and that’s hurtful to a 16 year old. But Linda was beautiful. Hahahahaha hahahahaha 🙈🙊🙉.
The greatest group Linda put together was the Eagles.

Are we to be surprised? That entire generation had military parents. Most of them had fathers who served in WW2. Rebellion against the post WW2 values is what the hippy culture was all about. And Jim Morrison despite not being interested in music was intelligent and a poet and knew that rock stars could get girls hahaha. Anyone could become a rock star in those days. Especially of they looked like Jim
