New stubby here. I actually subscribed after seeing your green sofa..lol….I loved that you weren’t afraid to use color. I love your style and enjoy seeing you mix styles and making it work.
I feel like even you changing out the picture from what was there in the living room alone made a big difference as the other was colorful. I also really loved that dresser at the thrift shop.
I think you have a lot of lines happening.. i think that can create cohesion but theres tons of lines, art rug wall curtains creating lines pillow even lampshade.. maybe find ways to round it out a big and soften some of then intense colosr with washed out neurtrals like earthy clay tones on the spectrum from greenish gray to reddish beige.. you know?
Hello! The new rug is beautiful, but maybe you need more color in your space. A colorful rug, a colorful piece of art or painting upside the sofa. You could incorporate more green, or contrasting colors. And the black table is the same form as the sofa, rectangular, looks like a block. You could change it for one round, oval, or organic /abstract form? A little bit more light, like an open table... These are just suggestions I hope it serves you...
Hi Jorge, at time: 0:46 second where did you get the statue of the lady holding the jug on the right side of the screen that siting in your living room? Thanks
Also to answer your question on your sofa, you need a lighter rug, ideally your hardwood would have been a lighter color like white oak and your 2 side chair are dark and so when your couch is dark and the side chair are dark, it doesn't allow for your sofa to "pop". Ideally your 2 side chair would have been a lighter color like white or some neutral like a linen color. Your dark green will "pop" and be more distinct if the surrounding pieces were lighter so it can stand out.
I feel like the rug and the new curtains have the same kind of rosy undertone to them which makes the room feel weird cause everything has a warm undertone and the old rug and the new curtains are more cooltoned 🤔
When you say the sofa was discontinued, Noooo! I’m really digging the color and shape.
🎉Can’t wait for the art you will be creating for the very nice ornate frame!
That new frame would look great over the sofa with simple artwork that incorporates the green in the sofa to tie in together.
Love your sense of interior styling 🩵
