Tim, your YT channels are going to be one of the BEST GIFTS you have given your children. They are getting to know Tim the person and Tim the man. They only know “dad”. You said earlier in this video how you would love to learn more about your mom, the person and the woman. That would be a very important & interesting video for both you and your children. A video history of your immediate family will be something that is passed on for generations… what a beautiful gift.
I’m two years retired (6-1) from education. I am thoroughly impressed with how you have proceeded into living the good life. I’m still working it out. Thank you for sharing!
@kamidsjournee I am trying my best to be mindful each and every day. I do some chores and then reward myself by reading classic literature. In doing so, I go down many rabbit holes seeking historic and geographic answers posed by works from centuries past. A dog walk and a bit of sun make for a wonderful day.
I had to burst out laughing at your very succinct answer to the last question. My grown children know and appreciate our intelligence. They just don't want us to know they know. LOL
What a lovely video! Your candid response about divorce sounded much like my own experience. I hope you feel like you’re making a community of friends here… because I think you are.
Getting that kind of interview from your mom on video would be gold. My grandparents and mother spoke about themselves a lot, but I was too young to think I should be taking notes on this.
Thank you for your honesty on some hard questions, ones I don't believe I would answer on public forum. You've certainly lived an interesting life. Blessings.
What a beautiful spot to watch a sunrise. Thank you for not reading all the names of the people asking questions. Drives me crazy when youtubers try and read each and every name, lol.
I just turned 40 on Sunday and I think minimalism is the best gift I've ever given myself. I'm more patient, kind to myself and content with my life. I no longer feel overwhelmed by my home, and I'm at peace. ❤
Retired 6 years and I love it been through the Pandemic and going threw this challenging economy safely in God's Hands if I do my part God will do His. A word of advice start debt free makes a world of difference. Blessing
Life has its ups and down - for all of us. Glad I have Jesus to guide and comfort me through each day A quote from my dad: The problem with God's church is it has God's people in it. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed with the kitchen with 2 people! I once owned a lovely European cafe, loved it but only one Chef, my space❤😊😮 I am also in the ministry- missions Asia.
I enjoyed the questions and answers session, but I really loved the sunrise at the end... I am enjoying seeing your TH-cam channels grow, maybe taking some lessons and motivation for myself :)
Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoy all of the books you mentioned! I love true crime movies, TV, podcasts and I think it all stems from Nancy Drew stories!😊
Thank you for this video, I enjoy listening to you and learning with you! You project the "older brother I never had" vibe 😊 Having the best time with your channels! 👍
Hi Tim, That was just terrific. Thank you so much for sharing all of your thoughts about your experiences. Your honesty and down to earth answers are so thoughtful and inspiring. Super video and enjoyed seeing the boat loading and unloading in the background. Is that a foot bridge beyond the ramp and if so would enjoy your checking that out with us on another sunrise video. 🌅
The comment you made about not spending time reflecting on our regrets and instead spending it thinking about what we really love about the life we have lived, really struck a chord with me. Of course, I knew that already, but something about the way you said it really made me think. Thanks so much! I'm really going to try to do that from now on.
Came across video, so made a cup of coffee and listened to you, and enjoyed the beautiful sunrise. Good start to my day. Thank you. I use to walk starting just before sunrise, so I could enjoy the sun coming up on a new day. But now can barely walk, due to falling and other knee problems. Can't wait to get back out there. Thanks for the sunrise and coffee time. Have a sunny great day.
Such a beautiful sunrise thank you. I’m not surprised you enjoy a nap always seem to be up very early! Enjoy your times sat on the couch you’ve earned them! Very honest answers, some very personal I felt. I really enjoy your out& about videos, it’s nice to see your town, museums, coffee shops etc.
Such an excellent video! Thank you for sharing that sunrise and I enjoyed the boaters. Again you are transparent with your life which is truly a gift to your viewers! Loved the end LOL.
Loved the music with your final photograph at the end of your chat. Divorce is a tough on all parties but in the end, after reflecting on my parents' divorce it was the right thing for them to do and I ended up having two more amazingly wonderful "parents" in my life when my birth parents remarried. Thank You for sharing bits of your life with all of us following your You Tube channels.
I can tell you were an excellent teacher. You are calm and articulate. I wish I could find something to keep me busy. Never had any hobbies just worked and took care of family, It is so nice that you are able to travel and enjoy your family, As we have more time on our hands it causes us to reflect on our lives and realize those regrets more. That may be God's way of helping us to ask for forgiveness. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing but I don't think this should have been asked of you. It amazes me how deep some people go into a person's private life. Enjoy your friendly, easy manner. I live in New England where people are generally cold and shut down. I spent a number of years in the Midwest, and spent my formative years in a small town in western New York state. I remain the friendly farm gal after all these years. I enjoyed your chat. I felt as if you were expected to answer too many personal questions. Looking forward to your car camping adventure. Maybe make a master list so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel each time you venture out.😊
Always enjoy your videos. Surprised that you have free time which is not what I experience in a retirement which moves so very quickly. Hoping to visit all local parks for daily walks. Keep up the good work!!!
I was lucky enough to rescue a rattan chair that I remember from my grandmother's house. When she passed, another side of the family took it. I always remembered it and when my uncle's wife died, her family was generous enough to want to return items that had come from my uncle's side of the family. Word went out and I put my dibs in for the chair. I drove from Oregon to California to get it. Why? When I was young I spent a lot of time at my grandparent's house while my mom was going back to school. That chair was in the room my bro and I shared. It was in the corner with windows on either side and we would drape the curtains over it and make our fort to play in. At night, grandma would sit in that chai and read to us before bed. Funny you should say your dad's chair is uncomfortable. I wouldn't sit in this chair now. It is much too small and probably wouldn't support my weight. It doesn't go with my decor or colors. But I will keep it and cherish it as " grandma's chair". And I will remember all the good times that were had. Thanks for reminding us that sometimes the value of an item is totally personal and cannot be expressed in $$. ❤ 11:2211:22
I love sunrise so much! A brand new day with the Lord! I can't wait for the travel videos & listening to your Mom- she's awesome! ❤❤ Thanks for the Sunrise Chat! VERY sorry about what happened with the church. Getting that 'boot' really does hurt and in my opinion is quite un Christ-like. 😢
I've been doing my genealogy for about 30 years. Keeps me busy. There is an old book I have (you can still get it used on Amazon etc.) "Writing My Life" by Alison Bing. Basically it is a book of questions to answer. I used it to interview my grandmother and was able to bring up memories that she never had spoken of before (like "Who was the boy you liked as a teenager that didn't like you back? Even at 86, his name came quickly. This resource might give you some avenues to explore with your own writing.
I'm listening to this video while driving away from Jekyll Island, which has nothing to do with my comment, but is more a point of interest… When you said you were going to respond to an issue, I said to myself, "your dad's chair…". And there it was. 😊 Really interesting Tim, thanks for sharing. The journey really is an adventure in many ways
So glad you are following Christ, he is worthy of all our praise. He died and rose again so we might live through him. Amen ❤ Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no man cometh to the father except through him. John 14:6 kjv God bless you Tim
