1. No self drive rental available in Leh 2. Outside rented vehicle can only be used to reach Leh but then you need Ladakh vehicle for local sightseeing in Ladakh

Nipun, There is Darcha, Sarchu and Upshi. Timings are only there early in the season when snow is too much or road is not much safe. Once roads are safe timings are not controlled.

Namaskar Dheeraj ji. We are planning air trip to Leh for 7 days in third week of May. To take rest and do local site seeing etc for first three days and later go to Nubra and Pangong for three days. To fly from leh on 7th day. Is it good plan? Also can you suggest good hotels in Leh? Have checked Sangalaya Palace, Ladakh Himalayan Retreat and Zypher Hotel at almost same price of around 4,000 per night. Which one would be better? Thanks.
Ravindra ji, the plan looks good to me. I think in that range you should be OK with anyone of them, I haven't personally used them but never heard anything bad about them.

Well, i hope you know that outside rented bikes are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh and sometimes that they dont even allow Manali bikes beyond Sarchu

Yes that is what they have made difficult, I am yet to hear about this season rule but looks like it will be the case. I will confirm as soon as I have an update. Also Delhi rented bikes are allowed to go beyond Sarchu. It is problem between Manali bike rental union and Ladakh bike rental union

From Srinagar to leh can we cover Lamayuru monastery, aichi monastery, lekir monastery, magnetic hill and pathar saheb gurudwara in the second day of journey from Srinagar. For this criteria any extra charges will be taken by the cab.

Ashish bhai, aap bas Leh tak bahar ki rental bike ya rental car le ja sakte ho. Leh local sightseeing, Nubra Valley aur Pangong Lake k liye aapko Leh ki local car/taxi ya fer local bike rent par leni padegi sightseeing karne k liye. I hope this clears the confusion.
If you mean Shimla to Spiti to Manali then no, you cannot travel beyond Kaza/Kunzum.. however from Shimla to Manali via Jalori or Mandi route you can travel
For you brother car it shall be fine in general.. you may carry a NOC document from them stating that the bike/car is for private use only, he is the owner of the bike/car with RC number, and he authorizes you with your DL number to ride/drive the bike/car personally for this Leh Ladakh trip. There is no guarantee but this NOC document will be helpful in case someone stops you and objects the case of RC not being under your name. Solving the matter amicably is highly recommended unless you want to go into the struggle and spoil the rest of the vacation and money for the trip. Sample NOC document link: tinyurl.com/5yrjthkr
No official rule but enforced by taxi union/bike unions there.. These Unions have a decent say up there even though it is not official rule. Avoid arguments/confrontation in case checking happens (even though unlikely).

It includes hotel stays and car ride (Total trip includes Nubra valley and Pangong Tso lake). I was unable to validate if this is a decent quotation. Could you help me in validating it please. Thanks Rajesh, if you have a private bike of your own or family member whom you can prove relationship, there is no issue in such a case. It is the rental bikes outside Leh which are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh.
I've an issue regarding my return booking... I need to reach back delhi from leh by bus... I have seen in videos that hrtc services are available... But while checking the service from leh to keylong, it's no showing no services in any of the date's.... But from keylong to delhi, hrtc bus services are available daily.... Any idea with this??? Sorry, mostly they do not follow online calendar. You will need to call in to local bus depot and check. I have heard that Delhi - Bus has started so you will be able to get the bus to return from Leh to Delhi

It is allowed one way traffc on odd/even days and as of now as well as far as I know they are only allowing if you have anti skid chains on your vehicles.

Do this trip anytime in September ending the tour by October 1st. October is cold in Ladakh. By 10th of October hotels etc. start to close down. September is the best time to visit. Weather wise, crowd wise, etc.

2. Outside rented vehicle can only be used to reach Leh but then you need Ladakh vehicle for local sightseeing in Ladakh

Nipun, There is Darcha, Sarchu and Upshi. Timings are only there early in the season when snow is too much or road is not much safe. Once roads are safe timings are not controlled.

Ravindra ji, the plan looks good to me. I think in that range you should be OK with anyone of them, I haven't personally used them but never heard anything bad about them.

Yes that is what they have made difficult, I am yet to hear about this season rule but looks like it will be the case. I will confirm as soon as I have an update. Also Delhi rented bikes are allowed to go beyond Sarchu. It is problem between Manali bike rental union and Ladakh bike rental union

From Srinagar to leh can we cover Lamayuru monastery, aichi monastery, lekir monastery, magnetic hill and pathar saheb gurudwara in the second day of journey from Srinagar. For this criteria any extra charges will be taken by the cab.
Yes you can cover all these places. For Alchi and Likir, it may be they may charge a bit more. Rest every thing is on the route only

If you mean Shimla to Spiti to Manali then no, you cannot travel beyond Kaza/Kunzum.. however from Shimla to Manali via Jalori or Mandi route you can travel
Can I take my private car(in my brothers) name to ladakh(to yarma gompa)? Do I need any permit or NOC?
For you brother car it shall be fine in general.. you may carry a NOC document from them stating that the bike/car is for private use only, he is the owner of the bike/car with RC number, and he authorizes you with your DL number to ride/drive the bike/car personally for this Leh Ladakh trip.
There is no guarantee but this NOC document will be helpful in case someone stops you and objects the case of RC not being under your name. Solving the matter amicably is highly recommended unless you want to go into the struggle and spoil the rest of the vacation and money for the trip.

It includes hotel stays and car ride (Total trip includes Nubra valley and Pangong Tso lake). I was unable to validate if this is a decent quotation. Could you help me in validating it please. Thanks a lot. Also, 1 more question. Is it possibe for me to drive there ?

Thanks Rajesh, if you have a private bike of your own or family member whom you can prove relationship, there is no issue in such a case. It is the rental bikes outside Leh which are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh.

But while checking the service from leh to keylong, it's no showing no services in any of the date's.... But from keylong to delhi, hrtc bus services are available daily.... Any idea with this??? Sorry, mostly they do not follow online calendar. You will need to call in to local bus depot and check. I have heard that Delhi - Bus has started so you will be able to get the bus to return from Leh to Delhi

There is no bus stand or public transport running on that route. You will have to go back to Leh if using public transport.

No, the rule is only for bikes which are rental bikes which are rented outside Leh. Own Personal bikes are free to roam anywhere.

Hi Dheeraj, Thanks a lot for your prompt response. I have re-planned my itinerary. Can you pls guide me if we can leave from Leh to Nubra-Pangong-Hanle. Halting @ each of these places at night. Also can we go directly leh to Nubra to PangongTso without staying at Nubra.
For refueling I watched your video where you mentioned Diskit and Tangste has option. Will it be sufficient. Also between Hanle to Tso Moriri, is there a refueling option.
What do you suggest. Shall we come back to Leh from Pangong Tso and then go to Hanle
