- Laura Wass has had her designs worn by Beyoncé, Erykah Badu, and many more. But when one of her WXYZ headdresses appeared on Childish Gambino's 'Awaken, My Love!' album cover, it was one of the biggest placements her young company had ever seen. We met with Laura to hear how it all went down, and how her work found its way to music's upper crust.

Some assistant just bought a bunch of African inspired headpieces of Etsy and hers was the one that got chosen. She didn’t get any credit. She probably just made $50 off the Etsy sale. She’s just an idiot talking herself up.
Is it really idiotic if your piece made it onto an album cover and you want to give yourself credit if they didn't and try to benefit your future business? Hostility for no reason.

I'm pretty sure the album cover is an homage to Funkadelic's Maggotbrain cover. It's quite likely considering there's so much P-Funk influence on the album.
