Really looking forward to the live stream, I'm guessing justgiving donations might be lower right now as many folk like me are hoping we might get lucky in the auctions. Best of luck with it all, and may the best mug win!
I think the TED machines were as popular down under as they were anywhere else. I knew 2 people, both school teachers, that had the Plus 4 in my small town of 3000 people. Commodore was the biggest name down under for home computers. In our town we had at least one VIC-20, lots of C64s in both styles, and lots of Amiga 500s and 600s. One guy even had a SX-64.
I've heard similar before. Australia seems to have had a good amount of just about every computer you could think of. Here in the UK the Apple ii didn't really take off and the BBC was very popular. Completely the other way round in the US. But I'm Aus Apple and BBC, obviously at different stages, were all over the place. I'm sure the TED machines were just as popular there as elsewhere, but due to them being a commercial flop still pretty scarce to find now
I was really going to watch the entire livestream but sadly there was a death in the village and as the village organist I will be occupied during most of the day, so I will have to watch the VOD instead. I may catch the end before heading for my nightshift, so I will be there for some of it. Good luck, Lee and all the other sellers!
@@kyorin6526 You know, living in a village of about 40 can be really boring. But then again, after a very stressful day at work, coming back to a village of 40 with only the sound of the small rivers and maybe a breeze or a drizzle or the smell of grass is soooo soothing. So yes, it is very tranquil. And thank you, there are so few of us that when one goes, it hits pretty hard.
Who's the idiot who bought that orange spectrum? Who would want that?...Oh, hang on....seriously Lee (both of you) good luck with this year's batch of goodies.
I haven't quite gotten to the end of the video yet, so apologies if this lovely gentleman does get mentioned at some point... Will you be having Christian Simpson (of Retro Recipes) on at all - the guy with the most soothing voice in the universe.
So excited for Saturday, your going to smash it!! Great wingman in Glen, very safe pair of hands, what a great closing video from him!
Good Luck! My bid is in.
Good luck for tomorrow!!
Cheers Neil!
Matt’s are the best, yes.

I only ever saw a single Plus4 outside of a shop (I don't think I even saw them in shops that often). About as popular as a ginger stepson...
You're welcome, Glen! 😬

Real life is more important!
The "Village Organist" conjures up a very nice and tranquil image of life. Sorry for the loss of one of your fellow villagers though.

Sorry no. I am not lucky enough to mix in his circles. Maybe one day!
