This is the material most homes in Africa should be built with. Just because it's "mud" doesn't mean it can't be modern. I hope this spreads. Awesome video Vanessa 👍
Adobe my dear.. Funny enough mud brick homes are built everywhere in the World but the World calls those homes Adobe and African homes are called Mud brick. The negative connotation being clearly present. So yes, African Adobe homes are quite stylish.
Finally a true african hotel where you experience a modern african architecture! I prefer this if i go to Africa rather than staying in a famous western hotel.
Lol the decorative bricks that allow air in are "breeze blocks" and the columns elevating the building are called "Pilotis". Togo's beaches are absolutely clean. The only thing is one has to watch out for the jellyfish which wash up on the shore
This is the type of aesthetic that I really enjoy to live in. The beauty of the natural products is much more peaceful and relaxing. I am never impressed with the super concrete buildings in Africa, it feels to me as out of place. I hate air conditioners and there are some many clever ways to build without being so dependent on electricity. I hope more developers would have this vision. 👏👏👏👏❤️🇧🇷
Wow 🤩 what a treat after organizing my garage and working out 🏋️♀️ I get to enjoy another fabulous Vanessa Kanbi experience.5 ⭐️ as usual. Decor and usage of natural materials are very well done , amazing 😻 ascetics. Seems like every room is an art piece on display. 🥂 👍🥰 And the beach 🏖 oh my.
Ghanaians are intelligent we don't go to other African countries and compare and creat divisions amongs Africans we only project the good image of our continent. I hope those villagers with video cam. Will emulate your good example. As usual you did a great job.
Beautiful home...but unfortunately the sea will eventually win and this will be underwater. It is very important that coastal towns in West Africa start dealing with water erosion asap!
Tjank you Vanessa for your hard work to bring us new content every time. Togo could be way better, but the 58 years old dictatorship is ravaging the country and arresting and killing anyone trying to change Togo for a better place.
The beach house is magnificent. The seaview is breathtaking. I love ❤ it. Your videos are so 🔥 and interesting . You have one more subscribers now. I'm enjoying myself watching the garden and the beach house with its beautiful decor. It's so therapeutic. Thanks again Vanessa. Watching you from the States
are there no flies in Africa? everybody seem to have outside dinning. are there any hurricanes in Ghana or Togo? Again an excellent presentation. Keep up the superior work. Love watching. Excellent production work too.
Hello, Thanks for sharing, this is a lovely video. I am a western (white) man and I am soon, travelling to Ghana for siteseeing. Im thinking to see Togo, though i am insure if it is safe for a western man. Would you have an idea if it is a safe and peaceful country ? Appreciate in advance🙏🏻
Vanessa, I didn't realize you lived in Volta Region. I don't think I've heard you talk about the place you live in. My in-laws live in Ho and we visit often. It seems a bit sleepy to me. What do you think of Volta vis-a-vis Accra?
@@akuastruth I am aware that she doesn't want anyone to know where she exactly resides. However, it is no secret to all and sundry who watch her channel, especially the videos when she was house hunting, etc. that she lives in the Accra area, which she isn't hiding from anyone.
Poor drainage system.. The government of Ghana is lett the hardworking people down.. It should provide running water, sewer and electricity.. They is a lack of service delivery and its all left to the citizens to make amends.. They need paved roads
Please Vanessa, when you guys are referring to African countries that have their own languages butt happens to speak other foreign languages - like English or French, please don’t refer to them as “English speaking or French speaking countries”. It comes across as though these countries don’t have their own languages. Please mention the name of the indigenous languages. Togo at least have an indigenous language. It’s very annoying when for example Ghana is referred to as an “English speaking country” though we have our own languages, but they are not even mentioned. How are you promoting Africa if you don’t even name any of our languages on camera. For those who have no knowledge of Africa, might think we still use the colonisers language, though we have OUR OWN LANGUAGES.! At times, we are our own worse enemies.
Which country would you like me to explore next?

I agree with you 100%.. mud house are more cultural to African it gives it's real estate an identity of its own instead of a copy of the western style
in my town in Cameroon, we build 90% of out houses are build with mud. doing a AC business there is a bad idea.

It's beautiful, the earth breaks are unique. If Ghana enforces mass production, customers are ready to buy.

I love the emotionalism of your description with a romantic, rustic, nostalgic feel. Another banger from the stable of Vanessa.
