Oh my goodness I'm so glad I found you. I to want to make the sweater for my granddaughters for Christmas. I'm a new knitter and could use a class in reading patterns UGH ... when I get started on the lifted increase part I end up with 5 extra stitches ... What? I know I'm so confused . Can you tell me how you did that row?

I’m so glad you found me! Thanks for watching my podcast.
I don’t want to give away any part of the pattern here since it’s a paid pattern and this is a public space, but I want to help you!!! Can you email me? I’ll be sure to check and reply tomorrow (although I don’t check everyday).

Make sure to tell me which size you’re working on as I think the increases are different across different sizes.

I always go up one needle size when binding off. For some reason when I do a stretchy bind-off, it ends up looking wonky and really wide. It looks like you either dropped a stitch or did not pick up enough stitches in the underarm. You can darn those a bit to close up the space. They are cute though. I love the hat. I have made 5 so far for gifts.

Do you go up from your ribbing needle size or your main fabric size? I’m excited to try the Latvian bind off as it was pretty simple for a seen bind off.
I have no clue what happened in the underarm as I was counting my stitches, but I’ll darn it up and it’ll be ok. First sleeve on the second sweater is turning out nicely so I’m proud of that!
