The thing I miss that the series has lacked since the first game is a sense of control as the player regarding the main narrative. There was something refreshing about choosing how much investigations you would complete, how much you would let the side missions distract you. How much time and care you would bother to put into a "contract" was entirely up to the player and could be done in pretty much any order. I know this is hard to replicate in the later games but seriously the "Go here, do this, locate generic captain, follow and eavesdrop" It's just mind numbingly mundane and causes me to not give a shit about why I'm doing what I'm doing.
im going to get a lot of hate for this but I've played every assassin's creed game and in my opinion ezio wasn't that great sure within the 3 games you share alot of experiences with the character within the 3 games but after the ac 2 his story dies down and stops making as much sense and his character starts to lose his passion i love ac 3 because while outside the animus the story made absolutely no sense inside you learned Connors story and it made you want to fight for him and well ac 4 was just fun as hell and that ending was like the saddest thing lmao

This is Assassin's Creed 4. This was an exclusive mission on PlayStation. PlayStation has had exclusive missions since Assassin's Creed 2 which I see no purpose for. The excuse was PS3 had exclusive missions because BluRay discs can hold the extra memory but Xbox and PC were still able to get it thru free DLC.

This is Assassin's Creed 4. This was an exclusive mission on PlayStation. PlayStation has had exclusive missions since Assassin's Creed 2 which I see no purpose for. The excuse was PS3 had exclusive missions because BluRay discs can hold the extra memory but Xbox and PC were still able to get it thru free DLC.
So... this is a dlc right? If not I feel so behind with the assassin's creed storyline.

But it's still not a dad because it's the only assassins creed game I own and I play it on it's own

Before those misogynazis start rambling, I just want to point out that diversifying the available roles in video games helps Ubisoft appeal to a wider audience.
In the long run, more women would find it socially acceptable to be a gamer and the gaming industry would have double the demand and higher revenue.
It is also insulting to all the intellectually competent men out there for Ubisoft to think that they would veer from playing a female lead.
I wasn't really discussing the quality of this particular game. Everyone know it was shit. I am just making a general statement about AC games.

The thing I dislike about this DLC is that every Regular in the Continental Army suddenly becomes an Officer, yet they have the fighting skill of a Regular.
I agree. The only character in this DLC who had the skills of an officer was Edmund Judge (the guy Aveline kills at the end of the DLC).
And yet 90% of the time you will assassinate him without engaging in open combat instead.
@@avelus5984 That's optional. I tackled him from behind when he was fighting Patience and fought him. There's no fun in just quickly assassinating someone who isn't looking.
