    Peafowl came to our door all the time, the first time we lived in Hawaii. We fed them. They would scratch on our roof, peck our door, and call. I grew up loving peafowl, and always watch them with amazement.

      My grandparents had a bunch of these, and they ended up as pests. The calling is super loud and happens all day long. They roost in trees or jump up on cars and poop on everything, and there's a lot of poop since they're basically goose-sized. They're not friendly, and can be aggressive. They're pretty, and it's far better to enjoy other people's peacocks rather than your own.

People will slowly creep up in talking shit about them, and before you know everyone will name them vermins, it's clearly documented way of annihilating a species, in some cases humans too lol You can see that with pigeons too, how they served humanity for centuries and suddenly everyone hates them, its how you change the image and repuation of a species, it starts slow, ughh they are so loud, they are pretty but man they are LOUD!! then someone will say, damnn these SUCKS ARE LOUD!, then it will go, I cant stand these motherfukers I wish they drop dead, then slowly and steadily they will become the most hated things, easing into it, from being a legedary bird with incredible treat from nature to look at to, these monsters that shit all over to calling non stop like babies getting murdered. Boom! peacocks are extint! You know we are known to do that. Need to stop it at the source. Long story short! LOVE THOSE BEAUTIFUL INNOCENT PEACOCKS AND PEAHENS!!

    In India's jungles and you hear this, look out, for there might be a tiger or leopard nearby.

    • @EngelSpiel
      @EngelSpiel 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Perhaps so - India has an amazing amount of biodiversity. I’d imagine that it’s partially due to it being near the equator, and thus having a tropical biome...

    • @allstarpterosaur850
      @allstarpterosaur850 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Mm-hmm. And tigers and leopards do live in India. However, I said might because most predatory mammals avoid humans. And it could also be a sloth bear, Indian wolf, or dhole. Plus, peafowl aren’t the only predator alarms in India. Langur monkeys, sambar and chital deer will all alarm call when a tiger or leopard is nearby.

    • @allstarpterosaur850
      @allstarpterosaur850 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Ah, peacocks. Chickens and ducks are good for eggs, turkeys are good for meat, geese are good for watchdogs, and peafowl are good for absolutely nothing whatever except providing an opportunity for introduction to your local sheriff’s deputy. That call sounds to your neighbors exactly like a woman screaming desperately for help: and once the deputy gets there, and you’re trying to explain what the neighbors heard, that damn peacock will stubbornly refuse to make a sound.

    Peacocks are a different type of man, they sure whine a lot for someone of their gender.
    Such majestic men (coming from a man himself)

      Isaac D well yea. In the wild it’s the man that must attract the girl to mate.

      We should go back to the good old days when men had to impress women rather than the other way around tbh

    • @Jinkroll
      @Jinkroll 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Satan late but you’re correct in saying that males have to attract females in the wild. That’s not the case with all animals though. Males have to attract females because females are pickier due to the amount of energy they invest in their offspring. Seahorse and penguin males invest more energy, so females have to impress them. Humans break the laws of nature all the time (ie natural selection) so we run differently

    i’m so glad i found this video! i’m 14 and i live in a big forest and around late april and then throughout the summer my family and i always hear this sound and i would get so curious to what it was because we hadn’t ever heard the sound until about a year ago! it has been a mystery since and i would always spook my sister out and say it’s a dinosaur or something that lives in our forest ahahah! but now i can tell them it’s just a peacock! i wonder where it lives 😅

    • @netabolt6546
      @netabolt6546 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually yes, it IS a dinosaur. to be not get confused, an Avian Dinosaur. the Non Avian Dinosaurs are excting but a subgroup from the maniraptorian (theropod dinosaurs with like velociraptor, oviraptor, dromeosaurus etc) got evolved into what we now call birds, so yeah, Its a Dinosaur living in the forrest. i heard one too in the small woods not far from home and wanted to be sure and yes, it is a Peacock i'm also hearing. its creepy at first lol.
