Hi! I want to rebuild my steering wheel, and make it based on 2020 aluminum profiles. Could you tell me if this kind of construction would have enough strenght to work with bigger motor like 1016 24v dc motor?
Really nice project, however i would like to know if you had any problems with that motor, because i have a 1/5HP version of it installed in a tiny belt Sander/Grinder and if you overload the motor for about 20-40 seconds It will already start to smoke. I Hope your motor and the motor from anybody that made this is better quality than the one i have.

Im thinkinbg of making a build like this, but im pretty new to the stm board, is the firmware free? and how many inputs does the stm board take? As in can i hook up an H shifter and pedals to it as well? And how is the torque with that motor? Im planning on using a PC psu with it.

I want ask which motor are you using ? It looks like RS775 DC motor.Are you satisfied with force feedback with this motor ? Is torque smooth ? I am going to build FF joystick an I am considering to choose BLDC ord DC motors.

The firmware is MMOS and is open source .It cost about 600 RMB in total .The torque is relatively small, about 1nm.

@@joskotze4193 Search for 24V motors with over 1A & with up to 8000RPM max. Those will give you 0.08 - 1Nm torque directly on the motor

Yes. The encoder can keep turning, which is different from the potentiometer.
The degree is set by the software.
