If a person would commit to being a thinker, then at some point they will have to commit to an idea or ideas. It is not a failing to commit to an idea, otherwise what would be the purpose of thinking. It is also important to criticize ideas, in this way we grow.
I enjoyed this presentation. However much of Arendt's thought remains indebted to Martin Heidegger and notwithstanding the renowned problems associated with him (most great thinkers have form, see Steiner on Heidegger for more on this point, especially Sartre...) he is crucial for understanding the matter of thinking for Arendt. Many thanks for a stimulating lecture.
Yep, like bellow... brilliant and very important !

This is an awful interpretation of Arendt's notion of Evil, thinking and judgment.
What's so bad about it?
Arendt’s thinking has “many moving parts”. You’ve simplified it. “Insensitive and poorly expressed”. Exactly.
