I really want a 2017 Accord Coupe V6/6MT (or any 9th gen, 2013-2017) but if i cant find one I will settle for an 8th gen. I think the 9th looks a little better and interior is even better but the 8th is nice too and should make it easier to find one.
I have a V6 manual in this car, and I love it. I've raced 3 of these cars. One 4 cylinder, and 2 v6's. I burned them all. iIt's definitely a rare find. I'm lucky enough to own one, and if any of you can find one definitely grab it while you can. I picked mine up as 1 of the 2 accord v6 coupes w/ a stick in a 500 mile radius of me.
Gas Drawls Yeah the Transmissions are a night and day difference really. The 0-60 is like a second and a half quicker compared to an auto. Definitely worth it.
I have the 2012 coupe 3.5L 6 speed with navigation an leather that I drove from pa to va to get. Definitely the fastest car ive ever owned and I love everything about it
I have an i4 5MT and I can tell you that's it's really a blast to drive! It's not going to be as fast as the V6 nor sound as good, but it really has sufficient power for daily driving. Gear ratios (for the 5MT) are pretty long. Shifting from 1st (shifting right at 7.1k) to 2nd the RPM would drop to around 4.5k, below its powerband, and really losing its power. If you're getting the automatic it'll be good, but just not as engaging as the manual. Great gas mileage too. Hope this helps!
I'm was fortunate enough to find a 08 6x6 within 20km of me! Body is in phenomenal condition and only has 180km on her. Really excited to go check it out tonight and I hope it all works out!
I love how you actually know your info, for some reason ALL of the car salesman I've run into at dealerships feed you complete BS! When I was test driving the Genesis Coupe he was trying to tell us that there was a 1.8l version, and that the 2.0 R-spec(210 hp) had 380 hp! Then I went to test drive the scion tc and he had NO idea about the horsepower, and got all his info from the little sticker on the window.. Thanks for keeping us entertained with great reviews!
Great video, I was hoping to get this car. Honda accord is noted for its high reliability. I couldnt find any info on whether the coupe is rated more or less than its sedan brother. Does it have the same basic engine and parts??
The reason the starter sounds different is by 2008, Honda started using a Denso starter on the VCM V6 models while the I4s and the non-VCM V6s got the older Mitsuba starter with the vintage sound.
Watching this in 2021. I have a 2015 accord auto...it okay BUT... I found this same 8th gen 6MT w/ less miles than mine for a good price. About to buy it😁
Funny how Honda can release the Accord with a coupe and 6 speed version in 2014. But Ford can't make a coupe and 6 speed version of the Fusion. Honestly if Ford were to release a ST or sport version of the Fusion.
That's my car only I have the Navi & Bluetooth, yes the 09 EX-L Manual V6 did come with that option as well. I've put 70k on it through the years and have had basic maintenance done only not one issue , she's awesome and a keeper on the real I get lots of offers to buy, rare seems true I don't see this model type very often bought mine out of Southern California for 18k with 12k on the OD I love my Honda.
+Joe Trujillo So what are your thoughts on having just bought a 2011 V6 coupe 6-spd 33,500 Miles odo and the ultimate warranty for only $40 a month on my car note $0 deductible...do you think its worth it???
I feel like I've been seeing a lot of manual accords lately. Either way what an epic car that I would absolutely love to own and drive! Shame on whoever traded this in on a Ford!
Nope, the manual Accord V6 is lighter than the automatic and it makes better use of the power. The stick will beat the automatic every time in a drag race.
Does the Acura NSX make near the same power as the accord V6? I think it was like 278hp and the accord is 271. Now doesn't the accord V6 auto come with VTEC? I hate how new Hondas are dropping VTEC and their only becoming avaliable on higher trim models. Great video
OMG that sticker in the middle of the windshield would drive me crazy!, glade we do not have inspections around here. I miss my 92 Accord, would chirp 3rd gear in light acceleration.
I watched this video and purchased one the next month. Same exact color model and trim. I LOVE my car. Only complaint is gas mileage isn't that good I have a 2010
Ya I figured going from a 2.0L 4 cylinder to an engine almost twice the size would return worse mileage, but with 120hp more, Honda reliability/longevity and the fact that work is only 8km away from home, it wasn't going to affect me much and it hasn't.
Hey man I’m trying to decide between this or spending more and getting a newer 9th gen v6 manual. I want to like the 8th gen cause of price and insurance plus I’m a manual fanatic so since you’ve driven both what are the pros and cons of both from your perspective? Stance on either or as a daily driver? You do a great job with you videos but just wanted to pick your brain a little more
I want a 9th but I've also decided to look at 8ths as well, figure it opens the door to more likelihood of finding a clean one. Nice thing about Accords is it's easier to find a stock one that hasn't been modified by some 19 year old who drove the piss put of it.
Looks really fast. Maybe its the camera angle. The chirpin' in 2nd, musta been a fun test drive. When are you going to do a half year update on your Fitty?
08:17 On second look it probably wasn't "that" big of a deal,..but since I drive defensively, her actions probably would have forced me into the middle lane. Besides, I used to ride a motorcycle, and it was always drilled into me that drivers making stupid decisions at intersections are what kills the majority of riders.
i have someone selling one to me, 2011 model with nav and all, for 10k with 87k miles super clean. I am a little on the fence since this would be my first buy in a very long time and I am trying to get something fun yet family oriented. Is that a good price even with today's inflated prices on use cars? I gave up trying to find a use Civic SI and I love how you said this is a SI but for grown ups!
Okay so I totally love this car. And here in BC Canada. I am looking at Honda Accord coupe 2009 i4 manual transmission with 190k KM on it for like 4.5k CAD. And auto V6 with 198k KM at like 5.5k. I think 10k USD (around 12.4K CAD) For a 87k mile ( 140k KM) might be a little high. Even with these prices. But again if the car is clean, no accident, regularly maintained these should last good time. I really hope I get one of these too man. I love the Look of 8th Gen Accord coupe, V6 is even great. But let’s see if I can find a good one. Good luck
10k for that mileage in good condition is really good. Wouldn’t suggest it as a family car though, being a coupe. It has space but it’s still a hassle moving the seats to load and unload the kiddos
Did y'all not do a review for the 2010 accord coupe V6? that's the car I'm intrested and a review would be super helpful. anyone know a good review on that year
I honestly have to say that the Accord Coupe is the best mid-sized car in its class. I have looked at the 8th Generation Accord Coupes with Nav. there is no back-up camera you only get that on the 2012 Accord sedan with Nav. believe me I checked. I think the 2013 Accord Coupe's are supposed to have a back-up camera w/ optional Navigation now but I really can't say but I'll check when they put more photos of the 2013 Accord Coupe on the Honda website.
Augh! I think I might be going for a test drive soon.. unfortunately we'll be going to Italy for 2 weeks after 4th of July.. still think it'd be around by then? Probablly not :(
i want to purchase a 8thgen accord coupe but im curious if they have any common problems. i know the 7thgen v6 coupes have had tranny problems. Anyone have input on this?
hey i gotta question. idk what car to get for my first car. i was thinkin about a hyundai genesis coupe 08 than i saw the honda accord coupe 08 i was wondering for your opion what should i get?
What kind of fuel mileage did you get? I'm debating between a four-cylinder six-cylinder . I for sure want a five-speed. I'm not sure il be happy with the power of the four
If you do alot of driving probably get the 4. The 6 is worse on gas, obviously, but if you do alot of highway you'll still be OK. If you do mostly city driving, get the 4.
wow, I did not realize that only the 2012 sedans with NAV had the back up camera included... that was a stupid omission by Honda. Luckily, the 2013 Accords come standard with a back up camera on all models just like the CR-V
I agree, I've gotten several people call Jerry's just to talk to me lol It's gotten weird but its kind of cool at the same time, next time you inquire on a car you can ask for me :)
Ok thank you for the information. So if the manual transmissions do not have variable cam phasing, thus producing worse lower-end torque response, would it be possible for a paddle shifting automatic transmission to beat a manual transmission in a drag race?
My brothers 90 Accord is an auto and has the sport mode and will chirp 2nd sometimes, but never 3rd lol, yours is a F22 chirping 3rd in an auto?, if so that is crazy.
The thing that I do like about the I4 is the greater potential to upgrade it in comparison to the V6. On top of that, the V6 with the automatic is actually known to have some transmission issues unfortunately.
anacondav12 The BMW 328i isn't something you can fairly compare to the Honda Accord. The BMW is going to be much better than the Honda in every way except for costs. The costs of ownership where the BMW will definitely cost you a decent amount more than a Honda would to maintain.
I'm getting my new car this summer, and I just so happen to be in Alexandria! .. pretty good deal too, 14k miles for $19k? hmm... Perfect color, manual.. Is this meant to be? I'm still torn on the Genesis Coupe(1st gen model) thooo! :(
I own the same car and at 8:18 that shit had me nervous. All Honda Accord coupes need to be protected because they are actual gems
Plenty of accord coupes. 6mt v6 accord coupes, on the other hand, are gems....possibly future classics.
@@calincampbell5637 definitely will be classics soon
I was trying to break at 8:18 and im not even driving.
lol
smae
lol
when i moved to florida i had to get used to roads like that. i used to panic lmaoooo
This car is surprisingly stylish. Caught my eye when I saw it in real life. Which is a first for me from Honda.
that white van scared me
Me too. I was thinking the same thing 7 years after you 😂
Just got this exact car from a local Honda dealer. I get a giant grin on my face every time I drive it!
I have a 2008 red version of this exact car, love it so much, it’s my baby. I have owned my Honda since new, only 40,000 miles
I just bought a 2008, silver, same spec as the one you're driving. 60k mileage. But super clean. Absolutely thrilled to go pick up the key today.
8:15...idk why but I got a little nervous haha
I know right, is it the white oddessy? I kinda freaked out when I saw came out fast and a bit out
Lol yeah me too. You can see his foot shift to the brake in anticipation
DubstepCamper its a vw Routan
I really want a 2017 Accord Coupe V6/6MT (or any 9th gen, 2013-2017) but if i cant find one I will settle for an 8th gen. I think the 9th looks a little better and interior is even better but the 8th is nice too and should make it easier to find one.
@4:00"You have a not an ashtray there" lol

I just bought this car...picking it up on monday :D
is it a manual?
How's it been?
After 4 years, how is/was it?
Never probably bought the car haha
He was lying🤣 boy bought a bicycle
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I have an i4 5MT and I can tell you that's it's really a blast to drive! It's not going to be as fast as the V6 nor sound as good, but it really has sufficient power for daily driving. That's the ol' Mitsuba Starter! They sound awesome! My 2015 V6 Accord has a mitsuba starter but it doesnt sound like that!
the only downside of this car is the takeoff, it takes a while to catch speed but overall this is a great car overall even for the year it is
These are the kind of reviews I miss
I'm a Ford guy, and I would buy this in a heartbeat!
I love how you actually know your info, for some reason ALL of the car salesman I've run into at dealerships feed you complete BS!

adam heeley I could be wrong about the engine

It's a fantastic price, Jerry's is one of the highest volume used car dealers in the area. I'd jump on it, this car won't last long on the lot
8:40 completely ignored someone crossing 💀
He had the right away not the pedestrian
To be fair the guy was crossing while they had a green light I would’ve done the same lmao 🤣
This car is sooo much fun. They don't handle well stock, but damn they scoot with the 6m/t
Watching this in 2021. I have a 2015 accord auto...it okay BUT... I found this same 8th gen 6MT w/ less miles than mine for a good price. About to buy it😁
You buy it? Lol
the 9th gen is going to be amazing!
Funny how Honda can release the Accord with a coupe and 6 speed version in 2014. But Ford can't make a coupe and 6 speed version of the Fusion. Honestly if Ford were to release a ST or sport version of the Fusion.
that would be tuff
B-ri. I'd buy one in a heartbeat... Who knows why they made a focus coupe tho. Smh
They have the SHO, but no manual, only a slushbox :(
Taurus SHO coupe 6 speed would be legit.

Heck yeah do they have any more lol?!
It's $440 with warranty at $18K total, I love it!!!! Not that year model but they have 2 FR-S's and 3 vettes a viper and a gt-r :)
This was my first car sale exact color too SOLID CAR AND QUICK 💨💨💨
I just bought a black 2012 exl v6 coupe auto, and this video makes me want to return it! lol the paddle shifters make it fun though!
I feel like I've been seeing a lot of manual accords lately. Either way what an epic car that I would absolutely love to own and drive! Shame on whoever traded this in on a Ford!
These cars swallow up gas by the seconds it’s turned on 😂
Not going to lie, this is review has me sold. I gotta buy one now! LOL Thanks for the Video!
i got a 6 speed manual 2010 last weekend and i love it......nice ride
this car is so awesome, hopefully i can get one soon
Nope, the manual Accord V6 is lighter than the automatic and it makes better use of the power. The stick will beat the automatic every time in a drag race.
That one is faster then Accord manul 2018 . 1.5. ???
Does the Acura NSX make near the same power as the accord V6? I think it was like 278hp and the accord is 271. Now doesn't the accord V6 auto come with VTEC? I hate how new Hondas are dropping VTEC and their only becoming avaliable on higher trim models. Great video

We were referring to a V6 6MT Sedan...
The V6 6MT is rated at 17/25
I've always wanted this car .. Someday I'll be able to afford it.
Hey man I’m trying to decide between this or spending more and getting a newer 9th gen v6 manual. Every Honda owner ever: "You can really hear the V-TEC kick in."
Looks really fast. Maybe its the camera angle. The chirpin' in 2nd, musta been a fun test drive. When are you going to do a half year update on your Fitty?

I really like this car; there are a lot of things that remind me of my 04 civic coupe that are disappointingly missing in the new Civics.
ive been waiting for this. thank you!
It's funny, a lot of people don't know this but, the V6 6MT Accords from 08- to even the current 2012 have the old Honda starter.
The accord is FWD right? Do you get a lot of torque steer? I really wish car manufacturers like toyota and honda would make more RWD cars.
That was a BIG treat! thank you! Love Hondas,
If you had to pick between the v6 Accord of this generation or the 2.4l Acura TSX of this era which would you go for?
I've owned a '04 Accord coupe 6MT and we currently own a 2012 TSX 2.4MT. Accord all the way IMO.
i have someone selling one to me, 2011 model with nav and all, for 10k with 87k miles super clean. Beautiful car inside and out
you only get it on NAV models
how does this model compare to the 10-12 accord coupes? any major changes?
No, only the front grill is changed
I love your reviews!!!
Did y'all not do a review for the 2010 accord coupe V6? that's the car I'm intrested and a review would be super helpful. anyone know a good review on that year
Same car.
I honestly have to say that the Accord Coupe is the best mid-sized car in its class. should i get this car for my first car? or a different year?
What’d you get ?
That car flies!
Augh! I think I might be going for a test drive soon.. unfortunately we'll be going to Italy for 2 weeks after 4th of July.. still think it'd be around by then? Probablly not :(
Nice Review Of 2009 Honda Accord Coupe. 😀
I have the sedan v6
Is my first car and still going strong
Got it in October 2017 with 103K miles on it
It’s at 158K now lol
i want to purchase a 8thgen accord coupe but im curious if they have any common problems. i know the 7thgen v6 coupes have had tranny problems. Anyone have input on this?
The 6MT V6 Accords have a different J35 motor. They lack VCM for improved torque response and only have VTEC as opposed to i-VTEC on automatic models.
hey i gotta question. idk what car to get for my first car. i was thinkin about a hyundai genesis coupe 08 than i saw the honda accord coupe 08 i was wondering for your opion what should i get?
Gonna try and get one at auction. Hoping to get a good deal.
Just got an 09 accord coupe EX with 4cyl and its gets 20/31mpg and the v6 gets 17/29mpg! Hope this helps! (: oh 4cyl gets 190hp and v6 270hp!
I know, it sold today, that was literally like the fastest I have ever seen a car go. Did you call about it earlier? lol
wow, I did not realize that only the 2012 sedans with NAV had the back up camera included... that was a stupid omission by Honda. Luckily, the 2013 Accords come standard with a back up camera on all models just like the CR-V
I would SO buy this over an Acura ILX! Much better looking imo and more power too! I'd love to have on of these!
is the v4 accord also 6 speed or only the v6. Also only coupe can have manual transmission or can the sedan all so.
my 4 cyl has a 5 speed. btw i dont think anyone arranges 4 cylinders in a V. but idk
is this a good car to learn stick in?
Look like people trying to run you off the road
I LOVE THIS CAR! I have the same car but with the 5 Speed Auto. Still, it's plenty fast.
whats your opinion on the 08 to 10 4cyl accord coupe ? could you review that Mr.Honda man lol
Bro avoided 2 deaths 8:00 8:18
Nice! My neighbors have one of these in the same color with an Automatic. But they have a 2011.
I've read multiple articles that state that the automatic has a 0-60 time of 7 seconds, but w/ a MT it's around 5.7-5.9 seconds..
I've gotten as low as 5.5 seconds with good tires.
I agree, I've gotten several people call Jerry's just to talk to me lol It's gotten weird but its kind of cool at the same time, next time you inquire on a car you can ask for me :)
He was so excited that he forgot to tell the gas mileage on this thing
Ok thank you for the information. So if the manual transmissions do not have variable cam phasing, thus producing worse lower-end torque response, would it be possible for a paddle shifting automatic transmission to beat a manual transmission in a drag race?
They don't have active cylinder management.
Front or rear wheel drive?
FWD
I'm not sure where you're getting your information from but 2008 8th gen sedans have a manual transmission
Only the 4cyl model 8th gen accord sedans have a 5 spd mt
YES!!! FINALLY!!!
lol where did you hear that? Ever since the 06 Civic came out, every Honda has VTEC, but the NSX made 290 hp so this is pretty close
lol hmm I had a feeling it was you when my co-worked asked me if the 09 Accord was still available
Almost died at 8:00 :O
It would have been helpful to know what exactly was weird about the clutch engagement.
My brothers 90 Accord is an auto and has the sport mode and will chirp 2nd sometimes, but never 3rd lol, yours is a F22 chirping 3rd in an auto?, if so that is crazy.
Bought mine in August and the only regret I have was not getting a V6 or a Manual...
+HondaGuyMatt me to i bought v4 cause is very rare to find v6 here in my country but v4 is good
The thing that I do like about the I4 is the greater potential to upgrade it in comparison to the V6. On top of that, the V6 with the automatic is actually known to have some transmission issues unfortunately.
+HondaGuyMatt can v4 compare to bmw 325 2009? (speed)
anacondav12 The BMW 328i isn't something you can fairly compare to the Honda Accord. The BMW is going to be much better than the Honda in every way except for costs. The costs of ownership where the BMW will definitely cost you a decent amount more than a Honda would to maintain.
Automatic I4, that sucks...
lol and get this coupe with a 6MT instead?
How much will it be for a Honda accord v6 6MT out of the dealer our used out of the dealer
What exactly is V-TEC?
Welcome to Northern VA lol
I'm getting my new car this summer, and I just so happen to be in Alexandria! .. pretty good deal too, 14k miles for $19k? hmm... Perfect color, manual.. Is this meant to be?
I'm still torn on the Genesis Coupe(1st gen model) thooo! :(
Great vid
I have the nav. there are no backup cameras. they have backup sensors but thats totally optional.
