Hi , I live in Kyrgyzstan and it is around 2 years here I have not celebrated Diwali with my parents and this is my third Diwali on the way away from home, but it is not too bad as we have a small family of Indians here ,here nothing like Diwali,no diyas and kind of stuff but being with group of Indian though we don't know each other sometimes also gives a happy wali Diwali feeling. So I have my college in Mumbai and for the last two years I am not able go to my hometown as we have exams just after Diwali.I was feeling a little sorry for myself and also upset as all my relatives and cousins have gathered together, and enjoying and celebrating Diwali. The whole year busy in our own schedule, away from home doesn't really feel that bad until you see some lights being hung up on some random house. When you realize how much of a thing you miss your family on a festival. Be it putting on the lights, the rangoli, the sweets, the pooja etc. A festival away from home is no festival.
