It’s so difficult to buy a decent home now for probably all young couples across the country because of the insane inflation during the pandemic. We recently purchased ours in the Bay Area with all in and help from parents. The condition is very bad and we are doing repairs and renovations now. It’s very normal to have anxiety and fights in the process. My strategy is trying to keep quiet and letting my wife to make the decision. Happy wife happy life! Hang in there and I believe you will get yours soon.

You guys haven't been to CA yet? I bet you'll hate it here as the home price here is soooo ridiculous!! The 3M house in this video would've been at least 10-20M or more depending on the location and how close it from the sea. The custom homes near me with ocean view (on much smaller lots) can easily go up to 10-15M or more! I love where I live but hate to pay the $$$$ and also the property tax will kill you! I would not be able to afford anything now had I not bought a 2,400sf home 13 yrs ago (6000sf lot) 13 years ago for $700K. Now it's 1.7M

There are a few communities most Chinese like: Plymouth, Minnetonka, Eden prairie, Edina, shoreview, Woodbury… Good schools.
Come down to southeast Lakeville area. Plenty of newer homes around here. lots of parks and close to lake Marion for Lola. Great public schools if you plan to have kids. One of the safest suburbs in Minnesota that's not too far from the cities.
I lived in the Twin cities 6 yrs... I eventually got tired of the cold...

Plymouth, eden prairie, Minnetonka, Edina, Shoreview, Egan, Woodbury if you care about school district a lot; otherwise just avoid north Minneapolis, (not safe)
I like MN - Lots of places to fish in summer and lots of places to skate (outdoor) in winter. Generally house in MN is relatively cheap, affordable for most young people. Good luck to you.

The younger generation is in trouble buying a house ( townhouse, condo) in USA and Canada especially the East and West coasts, Central Canada is still affordable a bit but seeing rise in properties also.

- 站在房子中間往西北方絕對不能是廚房，這對房主不利不是開玩笑的，喜歡鬥氣朋友進去三年後歡迎回來反饋。
- 前門明堂寬大不能有障礙物如樹之類，2024年後踏入離九運20年，前門是正南方能得此運的氣乃是人丁家財大旺。

Best place to buy a home right now (Feb 27th 2022) is in N. Carolina.Almost anywhere in NC. 300k gets a 4 bedroom home w two car garage in quality neighborhood.

It's a bad idea to buy a house this year, cuz next year houses will be much cheaper. I hate trees, they may fall and smash on your house on a windy day, or they may catch fire and burn down your house. I like low grass, like half-inch low.

@@welbyroberto6581 so far, I haven’t seen any condo or apartments that is only 300sq ft in United States that is legally for sale! Maybe soon! But there are masses of land in the US and traveling an hour on the freeway to go to work is very common in the big city. But most people choose to live in the suburbs with bigger houses and commute.
You should look for the worst house in best Street. Also a lot of trees around house is bad. Your gutter will fill with leaves all the time and you have to clean it at least a couple of times a years.
it's true housing market is still crazy high. I'm also looking for a home in the midwest. My friend said it will take a couple of years for the market to go down to a reasonable level.

Buying a home, my thoughts are 1) crime rate, 2) school district grades, 3) distance to work, 4) living convenience, 5) house condition and environment, 6) price.
My advice for you guys is to move back to Texas. You don't have to deal with the snow. You'll be closer to your family. You'll be in a red state instead of a blue state which will charge you higher property taxes.
Nothing wrong with the snow, Texas had its power grid problem 2 years ago and almost repeated this year
I guess you don’t know the TX’s property tax rate. It has one of the highest property tax rate in the nation. That’s why the housing price in Houston, Dallas, Austin, etc. are just out of control.

Hi, I lived in MN for 5 years for college and lives in LA now. I would say around the twin city minneapolis campus if you got a chance to look at, it is beautiful! Also around the stone arch bridge. And St Louis Park has some newer communities. Let me know if it helps!

My first impression is "why Minnesota"? The first key word for buying a house is always 3 Ls (Location, Location, Location). You are buying a house with which when you ready to sell it later your next buyer wants to buy it. Second key word is affordability. How much down payment including closing cost do you have? What will be the monthly payment with taxes, insurance and utilities? Third key words are durability and accessibility. How long do you plan to live there? What are the school ratings? Crime rate? Shopping? Roof, electricity and plumbing conditions? Fiber optic, cell tower, cable or wireless WiFi? The rule of thumb of buying a house is the first affordable moment after all of the above evaluations.

rent an apartment and stay there for a few months. People, especially the chinese will tell you where to buy a house. the school district is a very important factor to consider if it is not the most important factor. You are always not 100% satisfied as a first time home owner. You will learn.

keep looking, first impression doesn't mean much, find what you really like, but wait to buy. It takes a long time to know yourselves. And no market goes up forever.
