She’s also chatting to us about 15 years of RuPaul’s Drag Race, her tough experience of menopause, her love of Eurovision, why we should ‘own’ the word diva, balancing her work and home life and her advice to any parent with transgender children.

Yes Drag Race is all produced and has its controversies but when it came out it totally changed my life and so many people I know, the stories aren’t being shared anywhere else on mainstream media even 15 years later.

It's a shame that Drag Race has now turned into a pageant and who has spent the most money to be on the show instead of what it used to be about. Now, the only reason why these queens wants to be on the show is to having their booking fee go up

I don’t really believe that’s true. You win if you do well on the season and in the finale. Yvie was on a budget, but she made it work, Nymphia and Jaida designed and sowed all(?) the looks they brought. And the competition still isn’t even judged mainly on runways, but how you do in the challenges, which can be acting, singing, comedy, sowing etc… You definitely have an advantage if you have good money, just like in everything else, but you can do great with what you have if you’re creative and charismatic enough.
Queens have always gone on the show to increase their booking fees.
