Oh my God, the altimeter is measuring in Petameters and Exameters. I always thought it capped out at Megameters...before one of the asteroids I ejected finally reached one Terameter, requiring the display of Gigameters.
I'm about 90% sure Squad put that functionality in _just for you_, Danny.

I reached zetta meters with speed of 30 ly/s and without leaving the universe using this methode. And apparently I changed direction on the way
Manabender Yeah, you regularly see m for metres, K for kilometres and M for Megametres. Most people will (at least once) do something crazy and see G for Gigametres and maybe T for Terametres. What most people don't know is that KSP also has P for Petametres, E for Exametres, Z for Zettametres, Y for Yottametres and X for eXtreme distances (I don't think there's a name for that, and it's not an SI prefix) then it loops back round to m again. I assume that's because it makes ten digits, which would be easier to code alongside a decimal number.
X is "Xennameters", whatever those are.

but to make these you need to fly above 10^30m and this is 105 trylion light years = 1100 diameter of observable universe.
1:12 I like how the height meter in KSP can read exameters. Just to let you know, one exameter is 105.7 light years, so that's pretty darn far. In the video, it seems like the gauge went to about 57,647,308 light years, roughly 23 times the distance from earth to the Andromeda galaxy!

It's odd to see something that was originally already broken break even more when updates come. Originally this thing only launched you to the north pole, now it can fling you clear out of the universe.

Fun fact, at 195,000 c it would still take you 10 minutes to travel from the Sun to Proxima Centauri (4 light years), and 281 days to cross the milky way galaxy (150,000 light years), or 13 years to reach the Andromeda galaxy (~2.5 Megalightyears).

1: Put your astronaut in a capsule with completely physics-less engines attached in a way that will make it spin rapidly.
2: Have him jump out at exactly the right time.
3: He travels faster than light and then asplodes because traveling faster than light is physically impossible.

So basically at 1:54 when the kerbal stopped he expirienced 5966153498382 G's. You know normal stuff. A normal person loses conciousnes at 6 G and at around 7-8 G's he dies.
At about 100 you're red mist.
And at anything around 5966153498382 Gs you are sacrificed to the Kraken, enter the fourth dimension and cease to exist.

At about 2:05, I looked up how far he went; turned out to be 5252.66 light years from The Sun. That is 1/19 of the diameter of the Milky Way.

One of my most proud accomplishments in gaming was somehow making a Kerbal ship go 800 times the speed of light.
Just realized: if Jeb was going faster than light speed, radar would pick up his past self, his shadow will be late arriving on Kerbin, and he would be flying faster than he could think, literally.

I want to make videos, I like the act of creating them. KSP is still awesome, I have many ideas and I love playing it. what I don't have is time or a generally happy vibe to edit because of University and some personal stuff. I'm trying to handle a lot of things at the same time, and that has to be at the expense of this hobby, it's the least reckless option. I'm working on a video right now, but I can progress much more slow than before. And they take a lot of time, even if it's only a few minutes of enjoyment for you guys in the end.
But I love it and TH-cam the best thing that ever happened to me so I'll try to neglect it less. it's just very hard to do.
Danny2462 I understand, I am not in university right now but we have two very important exams a year later which affects the university you'll be in(this method sucks though, our overall education system is fucked up imo.). I might be not busy as you are, but I know how it sucks to not being able to do what you love properly because you never have time. But I know I should do it if you want to have a job where you won't feel like a slave.

epic "stats" at the end, 43 sec to the sun, but whilst traveling with 171.888.817m/s he only endured 0.6 G Force?! Also, total distance traveled.... 3.439.301m so about 3.500 km :P I just love KSP, best game ever!

Because Danny flied 195000 faster than light he's traveled backwards in time by 195000 seconds/seconds, so Danny launched a Kerbal to the Kerbol in -819000 seconds which is approximately -9.5 days.

Also, there is probably no one else on this planet to actually need multiples of c to evaluate test results?
