Sold my MT09 a year ago and seriously considering this . Only hesitating because of the more aggressive/forward riding position and effects on wrists and back. Found your comments on the subject useful so thanks.
i owned this bike for 8 months.. the very same KRT edition.. its a heads turner; top notch; attention grabbing... everything on it was stock and the stock exhaust is pretty good actually... much better in actual... it did drink a lot of fuel but again thats what an inline-4 does! one hell of beast... not good for day to day city tasks. good for long rides. i am 5'7 and i needed to bend a lot but if your are tall it's awesome. i had some back pain issues at times after a long 180 kilometer ride with a break in between... all in all a good memorable ride....
Just got one from Big St. Charles Motorsports in St. Louis for $9,000 flat + $5 for Temp tags in the Pearl Storm Gray color. I have never been so happy in my life. This bike has amazing power, pull and comfort for a 636cc supersport. The bike is very high quality and other bikers turn heads when they see the full time duel LED headlights and color of my bike. Quick shifter incredible, clutch is nice and gradual and the benefits of a lower tooth front sprocket are noticeable. The 2019 ZX-6r has made history and will be highly desired and collectible in the future, I predict
@@SkyeHack I went in knowing I wanted a ZX-6r and told them I had 9k cash to spend on a 636. They sold the 2018 I went in to look at priced at 7800 and had 2019s for sale priced at 8800. After set up and dealer fees they wanted $9620 for the 2019s. I told them I'd have to come back in a couple weeks after I save up more money. Then the sales manager came out and told me to pick whatever color 2019 ZX-6r that I wanted and that it was mine for $9k flat since I was paying cash, that I got from a pre arranged personal loan. (Lending tree) Getting financing ahead of time gives you more negotiating power. I basically just got my bike for 9k flat without paying those stupid dealer fees
Just found your channel, just about to get my first bike. Only 125, I'm 47 and wish I had done this a few years ago. Subbed mate, looking forward to watching your content Dan.
I ride the same one over here in belgium, but fully black ( Grey edition isnt available here) and i love the bike. Especially with the akrapovic exhaust and in full power ofcourse. Great motorcycle ! Enjoy
Have you tried the zx10r gen 4 or 5? I’ve got an 07 ZX6R at the moment that I done up over the winter as a project bike. I can only ride it for an hour before I start to seize up lol - I am old. But, I wonder if the 10 is a lot more comfortable?
michal s failed for not cancelling my indicator.. it’s a very bad habit I have which I get pulled up on at least once every lesson. Any tips on remembering to do it every time I make a turn ?
Gary O'Brien when you turn into a new road and there is a lot going on.. people crossing roads, cars, cyclists coming towards you etc looking down to check your clocks isn’t really a natural reaction.
Would you recommend as a first big bike ive rode naked 125 and crossers since being a young lad I'm 42 now got my mod 1 and mod 2 in April so I'm looking for my first big bike I could grow with great review just subbed to you would the seat position be like the cbr600rr do you know cheers stay safe 👍
I'd say overall nakeds are more comfortable and can be just as fun to ride. These sports bikes are for quick riding/racing and they look cool. But all that comes at a trade off for comfort. I'd say a sports bike is something to try out at least once in your life, but for long term riding, nakeds are the way 👍🏼
@@DanTheTwoWheeler thank you for replying pal cheers mate I've seen a couple nice naked bikes I've rode naked bikes only 125cc tho and crossers I like the cb650r and the gsxs750 just wanted to try a different bike been riding 125 for 20 years im 42 now mate but think I'll test ride a few see how I feel kp up the good work mate 👍
I wish I was taller than 5'5... short rider problems. I can't place both of my feet down flat, more like I'm on my toes. So I just put my left foot down flat, while my right foot is on the rear brake lever. By the way, subscribed. I'm still deciding whether I should go with the Nin650, or the Zx6r. Leaning more towards the Zx6r hahaha. Ride safe everyone.
Hey man, thanks for subscribing. You can lower the seat on these I think so should make it a bit easier. Practically the same bike, the 650 has got higher handle bars, the 636 much more sporty.
@@DanTheTwoWheeler Thank you for taking your time to respond to me. Much appreciated for the information. Hopefully this dealership I'm going to this weekend, will let me test ride both of them.
Oh man, the ZX6R, is way too intimidating for me. I opted out and went for the Nin650 KRT, instead. I love my new bike, so worth the trade up from the Z400.
I had an R6 for a while, and I will have to disagree. The riding position is not really something you ever get used to. It will always be uncomfortable.
Only a super car would beat a zx6r. The only way a car like that could be faster is if the rider is either new and inexperienced, or not trying. The guy in this video was behind him to begin with, couldn’t really race side by side.

Also, when I rode a Sport bike . It was weird because the headlight wasn't moving along with the handlebars if you get me

Add a steering damper, this bike is notorious without one
No steering damper?? That sucks
Not the latest model

Thanks for the video.. I'm considering getting back into biking after a 12 year break and this is one of the contenders.
Wow long break, yes it is a beast of a machine!
Wasn't expecting a supersport but probably the only one I'd recommend for the price point!
I knoww, thought I'd switch it up a bit 😜

Congratulations on your new bike Dan! That is such a nice bike and i'm sure you will forget the fz6 pretty fast haha! Stay up man.

I can't decide between this or the 2020 ninja 650 damn they both look nice. but your leaning me toward the 636! Great video thanks
No worries, thanks for watching
Did you get one mate?
Hell of a lot of induction noise 😍
Yeahh can hear all sorts when there's not an exhaust on 🤔
Great video Dan I own a kawasaki ninja zx6 on a 2001 plate luv the ninjas
Get a tracker fitted. Automatrics or other. Don't go too high with the RPM, let the engine run in slowly.
