TERRIBLE! I have tears in my eyes watching this. Been in Unawatuna in 1994 for the first time, then in 1996, 1998, 2002, 2007. Even then it still was a chilled hippie hang out without all those ugly shops, mostly jungle, no asphalt streets. That huge new concrete hotel that overlooks the whole beach ruins the atmosphere completely. It's a shame! Seeing this I feel very old. Where have all the good times gone. Unawatuna has been raped by tourism. I will never go there again. SO SAD!

Too touristy,never been there and certainly wont after seeing this-go somewhere that isnt catering solely to this group of people ,try Batticaloa and Kalladay beach.
