Hi @Quadcopter101 , how do u find its performance on 3D & manual ? Is the transmitter n the plane responsive enough? And were there any connection issues/delayed response from the stock transmitter?
Throttle response is slow. The power is sufficient, so you can still do basic stunts with it like loops and rolls. But it's somewhat of a gentle flier, even in 3D. It's size lessens the effects of wind buffeting, making it easy to fly, even by new pilots. It kinda feels like your flying a powered version of one of those giant styrofoam gliders. And saying that, it does glide real well.
@@Quadcopter101 nice.. that does sounds promising. Currently looking for bigger warbirds in size, plus I'm aiming to fly it in 3D / manual How do you find the quality of the stock transmitter? Is it good enough? Any issues at all ?
Been looking at this manufacture since they started selling the White scheme'd one but no way I can hold their transmitter and I have no clue what protocol to use on a multi protocol module or if it can take an external RX. They mention sbus, but sbus gps?? I just wanna know if I can get it on another TX..
@@nevTk-oe9ud Nahhh this guy is a little bigger and heaver plus its 2s. Ive had a few of those smaller 1s and have more UMX micros than I could quickly count. This one is a bit in between with the larger motor and I'm sure flight times than most micros. Just wish we could get some decent technical info or even an rcgroups forum. Ive seen so many of people upgrading their 1s micros to 2s over the years, well heres one thats already 2s.... lol
You only need to buy one transmitter from us. All aircraft we release later will support our transmitter. We also have the latest products, please look forward to it.
@@moflyair I'm disabled in a wheelchair with more metal screws in just my left hand than some transmitters lol so its hard for me to hold and use box style transmitters. I current use an X-Lite with multiple modules mainly frsky, crsf, and elrs but I do own multiple multi-protocol modules that support hundreds of protocols. Chances are the TBS MPM may even auto find what protocol the RX uses but I'd rather not risk my money being disabled and on a meager fixed income buying a plane I cant fly
@@moflyair please tell me what protocol it is? I'd like to use radiomaster open tx for it , I cannot fly mode 2 , As i learn mode 1 only :D I got the radiomaster so i could fly the volentex /eachine micro warbirds :D
Been waiting for your review on this (and other planes) Old Mate. Even Googled the local papers' Obituary sections to see if you might have tripped and fallen into the Lake! 😉😂 I don't know if that GPS feature will ever be added to this plane (unlikely to be in the current programming) since that'll push it over the 250gm limit. The S-bus socket to the right of the GPS mounting box on the board should be a boon to folks who prefer to use their own Tx though.
Yeah, the weather has just been awful for flying here where I now live. Even today. We have a total solar eclipse supposed to happen later today, but it's overcast and raining :( Sometimes I miss living in the desert.
Looks like another in the vein of the old XK A160 - with the dumb-ass programming there in the 6G mode. Shouldn't really need it if you have the "panic" button. But obviously NOT a good brushless replacement for the little Volantex V761 series toys and certainly not a "Beginner" warbird.
@@Quadcopter101 Thanks for the correction..My mistake. Hopefully they will come out with new models and work the bugs out. I love the RTF kits. The price is amazing!
Spare propellers and batteries are available for this plane. But I do have to say that this plane is one of the most crash resistant planes that I've ever flown. I've done numerous hard nose ins with this plane in a grassy field. It still looks and flies like new. That includes the propeller! This is turning into one of my favorite planes for practicing stunt flying.
@@Quadcopter101 aight good to hear that... so far it does look tempting 👍🏻 What about the throttle response, overall manoeuvrability of the plane? Is it too sensitive/sluggish/ just nice ? Overall, would u recommend it to others to buy it?
Throttle response is slow and gradual. But it's just right in maneuverability. But because of the issues that I've experienced in the video when flying in 6G mode, I would not recommend this for beginner pilots. Instead, this is a good trainer plane for intermediate pilots transitioning to manual flight using its semi-stabilized 3D mode.
@@Quadcopter101 i see.. good to know that. From the other videos I've seen, some doesn't seem to have any issue with 6g mode, but may have trouble elsewhere Thanks mate for the insight 👍🏻 really enjoy your videos btw
Not for beginners since 6G was problematic. But for intermediate pilots in 3D mode, it would make a good basic aerobatics trainer. It has that self leveling button if you get into trouble. And as demonstrated, it's resilient to crashes.

Do you think it's capable of handling a 3s battery with it's setup of the 16 amp board?
I really don't know. Sorry.

Wish they made a BF109 instead of a zero .
That would be fun. But note that although it looks similar, that this isn't a zero. It's a Ki84 Frank.

See you moved out of California. Do you miss it yet? Hot sun
I don't miss the earthquakes. But I do miss the weather, and being able to fly just about any day.
Mine went crazy in 6g mode as well. Wind caught it, took it into the clouds and I haven't seen it since. Too bad. Pretty plane, but terrible flyer.
Are spare parts for this model/brand readily available for purchase?
