if you headshot a suicide puppet you have 30 seconds to defuse it for c4 parts(you need wire cutters to try).... if you shoot the suicide puppet in the body it will just blow up and if you get close to one enough to hear the beeping you can wait 60 seconds and it will blow up because you triggered it initially. Another nice little tip you can make a bone needle with a chopped up puppet and use that with fishing line or thread to make a sewing kit. The metal needles I always save for my lock protection on my base but you can use those as well as the bone needle to make a sewing kit. Favorite part of Scum is that every playthrough is different and there are soo many activities to do in game.
You don't have 30 seconds the 30 second timer is only if you Head shot them and and don't disarm If you do disarm you only have 3 seconds, depending on your Demolition skill.
One hint I can give you is that if you face several puppets, run and try to jump on a window so you don't get hit by them and it's easy to kill them through the window. If they are hitting you, you can't change a weapon, so always good idea to get some distance to them if you need to change to melee.
ya im at the very beginning and very discrouraged . dropping my damn stone knife every 5 seconds and cant even make an effing back pack. cant carry jack . please tell me it gets easier and more fun...
Tip 1: Dont take trash that you wont need like rags wire cutters bolts nails and such. Tip 2: take ammo guns and armor Tip 3: search towns for backpack or craft a bigger one you only need a sewing kit crafted from a thread and a bone needls that you can craft from a bone by cutting up a puppet. Tip 4: loot normal bunker not abandoned they still hold a lot of good look clothes backpacks and of course armorys that have lockers inside with guns. Tip 5: Aim for the head. Tip 6:dont wear bright clothes. Tip 7:make a box and bury it somewhere to store loot temporary until you get a little base set up. Tip 8: loot police stations in small towns across the island there are gun lockers there as well and ammo thats the best place to find an early ggame gun even if ur a noob. Tip 9: If you see a puppet running at yoi and you cant shoot it with a bow or gun in time, just run train those reflexes man you gotta be fast and vigilant in scum if you want to survive. Tip 10: Loot small military POI's factorys, bases and bunkers as well old ones. Tip 12: get better arrows craft them or find them i usually find my bow and arrows at the castle in B3 sector if you cant fins it use a site called SCUM map.com there you can see all Poi's and other stuff. Tip 12: take military loot and head to a trader and sell stuff for cash then buy a credit card and store that money so thag after you die you can spawn in the sector and maybe get ur stuff back, btw NVG goggles and purple and other ghillies sell very nice purple- 2k at least on my server thag im playing on. Tip 13:uhh kinda running out of tips here... Try getting an automatic rifle like AK-47 or MP5 whatever you get use it well and also dont forget mags and ammo. Tip 14: Find friends. Tip 15: go with friend and explore abandoned bunkers with good bow and broadhead carbon arrows. Tip 16: build base out of wood/metal. Tip 17: Grind stuff. Tip 18 kill people and loot them maybe you can even raid bunker armory if you have lockpicks and screwdrivers bit you need to practise lockpicking a lot. Well i hope at least one of these helped i dont really write any tip often even tho i play scum for 3 years i still dont know what tips to give 😂😂 just survive my man keep out of truble and wish you all the best sorry in advanced if these didnt help.
@@GamerBoyL1906 I just wanna know so if you have to play offline what things will you do to acquire every arsenal I just started yesterday and I'm just running around starving and dying
Strength of your char determines your abilities, in regarding to handle the bow, hammer, axe, etc. If your char is weak, he won't have strength to pull the bow string. He will be able to pull the bow few times, but it will drain your stamina FAST. Few more things: weather affects your char behaviour. If it rains and you get soaked, your gear will be heavier so you'll drain stamina faster (carrying more weight); there is no third person peeking. The game will render enemy player only if he is your direct line of sight (if you can't see player in 1st person mode, game won't render it for you even if you are in 3rd person mode); Level of tool/weapon determines outcome amount, meaning - if you use stone knife for cutting clothes, you will get less rags than if you used scissors; Usage of items increase the speed of deteriorating, but lvl of the item also affects the speed (lower the lvl of the item, the faster and more it deteriorates); Puppet items (of any item found around) with HP lower than 30% (I think it is 30%) can only be repaired up to 50% (so watch out for your gear). Hope it helps.
Dude, loved watching, and laughing till I was crying. knowing I'm not the only one feeling all the pains of this awesome game! Damn mushrooms and rushing across map for antibiotics, not being able to pull melee when swarmed, and the damn mechs! Wait till the dang exhaustion kicks in! Great vid thanks for sharing!
short answer is yes, it is hard, however, if you can get the ball rolling and have people to play it with it can be some of the most fun youve ever had
I'm interested to see you playing after .95 update. I'm looking through your other posts after I finish this one. I laughed so loud when you got g and died parachuting, and again with the sludge hammer, because I've done both of those myself so I knew you were going to die. It's like a badge of honor
In Scum you die in billion more ways then in Day Z. I died from metabolism problems, digestion, stale food, near the fire, from mushroom, drowning, wound infection, bear paw, and my favorite-random lightning!
Traveling by road on foot in scum is a big nono. Its better to follow them from the woods. Edit: my favorite thing is driving around in a truck and shooting other people out of their cars with my friends.
it's only hard as long as you haven't learned the game. after you know everything and your character progresses(stats/skills) it gets easy. pvp is still hard though.
Tbh i don't think SCUM is a good game to learn the core of the pvp (the shooting) itself because the encounters are not frequent enough to really get a training effect and the cost of dying is just so high. It's probably best to play a lot of first person shooters to get good and then transition to SCUM or to be so careful that you can always ambush and only engage fights when you want to. Though I have lost fights in scum that I definitely should have won just because I am not good enough at FPS when I am not expecting a pvp encounter. There are some really good scum pvp players like "wardog" that you can check out though.@@Jezargh
you could probably also use the "pvp events" (somewhere in the menu) to train pvp in SCUM - though I personally have never done them (after 300 hours of gameplay) so I'm not entirely sure how they work.@@Jezargh
im glad to see someone really giving this game a chance
Haven't stopped playing it since I started a couple of weeks ago!
Only video game I've sat on a cliff, smoked a cigarette and had a beer to watch the sunset😅
It does look great when the suns setting@@MarcusT.5
Scum is an awesome Game.
Been playing scum since early early alpha. Excellent game. Has come such a long way too.

Ahh ok I didn't know you could dismantle them, good to know, will also keep decent needles for lock protection so my toilets are more secure!!

I bought this game after watching the streams and am really enjoying it! Thanks for giving it a chance (and for convicing me to)!
Glad I gave it a chance and got it when I did, nice that you and others have had fun with it because of my sessions on it.

Ahh i thought i was doing something wrong when I couldn’t change weapons! Good to know.
Another tip, always close door behind you so puppets can't come in building
Awesome! I’m loving SCUM, like you said, if you give it a chance and a few hrs to get to grips with it then it’s a great game!
Yep it's fun learning it and becomes second nature after a few hours.

When you are with the bow in your hands, you can press middle mouse button to push puppets away.
Welcome to Scum. I always enjoy these first-timer videos. They're great for laughs. XD
It's been a fun change, as a fan from daily DayZ, to see how Scum starts up 👍
Yea, nice to mix it up!
When u headshot beeper u have that time to disarm him with wirecutters
A good strategy to clear tons of puppets is shoot a bullet put a window so they all run to you then pick them all off with your bow
short answer is yes, it is hard, however, if you can get the ball rolling and have people to play it with it can be some of the most fun youve ever had
Watching your progress. You’ve really come a long way in a short time!! Fair play!
Am slowly getting to grips with it, need me some more toilet bases around the map so on death I can at least have the basics stashed in them! 😆

Click on the mouse wheel button to punch back puppets :)
Haaaa - you swear nearly as much as me when the puppets are slamming you ;)

jesus those guys in the Wolfswagen are so freaking bad xD
1k hours in this game and i still die the same way bro,
No doubt I’ll still die like this with 1K + hours as well 🤣
should try the official servers where puppet damage is not modified.
I wasn’t ready for that hardcore servers puppets at all but luckily the other server I joined had normal settings for them 😄
syndacate 2.0 nice ive played on that server. its hard. the zombie are very strong
Yea I didn't last very long on there!
if you want real suffering, trie out Condamned server ;)
