2:10 can anyone explain me why the "l" letter is missing on the word clip on the top right of the preamp . i bought this preamp too and its same to me it, says "c ip" instead of "clip" .. but in the official site of gap the icon shows it written normally "clip" with the l.. any ideas??
Hi, great video. I have a question. What’s the difference between adding preamp before signal comes to audio interface and when I have no preamp device and I boost the volume in post production? I personally hear no difference. So, why should I give 150€ for this Cloudlifter, when I could boost the volume afterwards? Thank you!
I got through the pandemic and have been recording since with just straight mic into my laptop and always wondering, "Why the hell does it always record so weak?!"
This is an excellent video! Thanks a lot for that. I have a question. I have Tascam US600 and its quite complete. However im trying to record acoustic guitar with Shure SM57 and signal is too low. I have to put the gain up to 90% and place the mic just 2 or 3 inches from the guitar. So what options do i have? Could you give me some advice please? Greetings from Argentina
Glad to see you uploading again!
Thank you!
Very helpful information - thank you!
Wish I'd seen this a few weeks ago, before I started buying stuff! Really clear; really helpful. Thanks.
Great job 👏
Great as always.
Thanks Luis
very helpful, thank you!
do I need an interface after preamp? or I can connect preamp to PC?
Thank you for explaining the difference. Very helpful.
Well-explained! Thanks.
Please suggest any low budget microphone and audio interface for youtube video?

Boosting the level in post will *generally* add more noise. For the best results you want to record at -12dB with the cleanest preamp possible.
ur adding digital noise when u boost it in post
