I'm in zone 5b- 6a and I buy at my local garden center, Lowe's carries the bulbs mainly in the fall. I have luck in both sun and fairly shady conditions as well.
I am going to be starting an allium garden this fall. Would you please make a recc on where to purchase alliums???? I have nothing local. I am in Zone 5. Enjoyed your presentation.
Very informative . Thanks Robert. This year my alliums turned yellow super early with a short flowering time. does this indicate a shorter shelf life or anything else I should know?
Hi, I love this video a lot as I have tried to grow these beauties several times but with no success, my soil is probably too clayish, my question is can I grow them in containers? If so, which type is better? Thank you in advance for any tips and help.
Unrelated question.. after growing tomatoes in the same location for 10 years.. the past 2 years they won't grow anymore. Only 2 feet tall after 2 months. Is there anything I can add to the soil to keep growing tomatoes in the same location? I already add compost... made no difference.
There are some wonderful varieties available. One benefit to growing alliums is that they keep the critters out of the gardens.
What a great video !!! ❤ good Picters , wonderful voice ., good information. Thank you 🙏 very much. Zlata ( Florida - Russia 🇷🇺).
I only started 2 pcs bulbs of Alliums and after 3 years later it multiply into 8 pcs bulbs with flowers , and now looking for the white one .
I find aliums more interresting than tulips or hyasints.

Kind Sir, we need the list of which Alliums bloom through which time periods to get to Fall please.
Thank you for the video. I love alliums❤
I was in a nursery yesterday 5/27/23…..they were asking $49.99….for 1 giant Allium….. they will have to keep it….ridiculous price
Can you advise me on how to stratify and germinate aliums from seed please?

A lot depends on the weather. A hot spell can shorten flowering for a lot of plants that flower earlier.
Can we grow Allium in Indian Subtropical Climate? Where winters doesn't go below 5°C.......

The container is not important. I grow everything in the video in clay.
And honey bees love them!

You can have your soil tested to see if there is a deficiency.
@@Gardenfundamentals1 is there something common that could be deficient
When our garden plants are not producing to size or small fruit, potatoes, we have to apply garden lime
Can they grow in shade?
mostly sun loving.
😍👍
What's a gas plant? Isn't that what you called the white flower in front?
Please do a video on gas plants. Maybe film it at night so we can see it flame 🔥 I cant these plants anywhere in the nursery trade. Love your videos!
