- Here's 'must-have' accessory, especially if you have a bad battery or 2!! It allows you turn your battery into a USB PowerBank to charge other USB devices! Super cool...

Maybe you're getting those inevitable Battery Errors on your original MAVIC PRO batteries...or maybe it's just time to replace them because it's been 2+ years. Turns out there's a much better option than paying $100+ shipping/handing for DJI-branded replacement batteries. I found an alternative brand that gives you about 95% the runtime capacity of the DJI battery at about 50% the cost and they are functionally identical to the DJI versions. This is a completely unsponsored recommendation that I'm happy to make since these are working great for me (Yes, I purchased these with my own money - they were not given to me!). Check it out...

Seems the batteries I bought from Amazon vendor (FlyHi) are 'currently unavailable'. However, I did find the same batteries from an alternate vendor and they're currently on sale! : amzn.to/3lbGdv5
These ones are now unavailable too
bro, its the same link
Thanks for the video! Gave me confidence to try a 3rd party battery. Had no clue that not using the original Mavic Pro batteries would damage them permanently.
Liked and subbed. Just tried to charge my 6 lipo batteries from 18 months of storage and yep same problem with 5 of them. 1 actually charged ok. The other 5 just blink green 16 times then stop. Only used them all about 6 times each. All are DJI as well.
Got exactly the same experience with my DGI battery. After 19 uses in 2 years , it went in error. Even worse, a brand new DJI battery, probably stored for too long arrived dead from my supplier. These Lipo batteries are just not reliable.
Its probably worth noting that on certain airlines you need to have those cases in order to get them onboard for travel.
I am learning about the integrated BMS = Battery Management System. Thank you...
I have 3 3rd party batteries for my mavic Pro had them 2 years, no problem what so ever.
Ali Express now markets extra capacity batteries that will power a Mavic 1 Pro and other older DJI drones for 33 minutes aloft during which the drone can cover 13 miles round trip at 27 mph cruise speeds. I have used those after-market batteries extensively in my Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro drones, and can attest to their reliability and durability over extended use.
Great video. PS - It should be mandatory for TH-camrs to use windscreens on their mics when outside. Good job.
Got batteries from AliExpress they were about £35 with free delivery look the same as these ones not had any problem's seem to last quite well and still show well balanced on the App
On my mavic pro 2, my batteries are puffy. I may just buy the one you reviewed temporarily. Good review!
"Puffy" definitely doesn't sound good. haha Make sure you find some that are compatible with the Pro 2 - the ones in this video are specifically for the Mavic Pro. Thanks for taking the time to watch and post a comment! :)
I have had this problem with one of my batteries. Cycled it a heap of times and have had success in getting it going for one flight but it goes out of spec again quickly and too scared to use it. I attribute it to being left sitting as I do not use the drone every week. When this happens to them they are still a great power bank battery for charging a go pro or phone etc. with the power bank adaptor. So at least it still has a use.
You just blew my mind... I did NOT know about this Powerbank adapter! Super cool!! Thanks for sharing that! This is a no-brainer!! amzn.to/30uJHkg
I've had the same three batteries going on 4 years now, I'm actually going to see how long I can stay in the air on this never had an error. 20%
Now that you have had them a few months how are they working out? I have been flying a Mavic Pro since July 2017 and I have had 6 DJI batteries die so an after market source at a lower price would be welcome. Thanks for the review.
I had them just shy of 8 months and they continued to perform on par with the DJI batteries. I actually just recently sold all of my Mavic Pro gear to help fund an upgrade to the Mavic Air 2, so I can't really say how well they'd perform in a longer term scenario, but for the time I had them I saw no indications of any issues.
Awesome information thanks 😎👍 your front patio trees nice looking 👍
ha! Thanks! Looking forward to eventually moving to a more....woodsy...location at some point. I do like me some trees. haha
Thanks just picked up a DJI mavic used and it just had one batt. Used your link hope it helps some. So I forgot to ask. You have the new batts for around 5 months now. How are they doing? I see some peeps saying there are not lasting and braking there drones. Thanks for your help God Bless.
I'm still quite satisfied with them. No issues at all. Granted I don't fly every day or week, but I've used them a dozen or so flights since that video with no problems.
@@ReeWrayOutdoors GRATE good to know thank you. I used your link hope it helps some. God Bless.
"breaking their"

I bought 2 of them from that same amazon source back in January 2021. They worked once. I didn't use them for about 6 months and went to use them again. Both of them were dead and wouldn't charge. They replaced them with 2 more. Those didn't charge at all right away. You can't buy them from DJI anymore so this drone is useless now. I will never buy another DJI drone if the manufucturer will not support them with batteries after a relatively short amount of time. I want to make a purchase and know that I can still use it 10 years from now.
try leaving the battery in the drone when not in use, totally melted my mavic when they caught fire fortunatley it was in the case or would have burned my house down
the protective bag is for air travel, it's mandatory that they are in something as such
I wonder how cold weather affects the two batteries.
Simply outstanding, thank you!👍👍👍
Many thanks!
thanks!
in 2023 the same link to the 2 batteries cost u$s143 instead ob the u$s112 that's
like 25% more expensive. US inflation?
bought a replacement battery looks identical to the fly high its was by powerextra 15 chargers and at 48 percent it dropped out of the sky i am glad i was underneath to catch it my original battery's are fine i am not sure about 3rd party battery's anymore now
Oh wow! Yeah that would definitely shake my confidence. I fortunately never had any issues with the ones I bought for the year that I used them. I've since upgraded from the original Mavic Pro to the Air 2 and haven't seen 3rd party options for that model yet, but I'd be curious to know if anyone else has had a bad experience with these after market batteries.
Buen video, muy útil, gracias desde Argentina".
de nada, mi amigo!
Please be careful with 3rd party batts. To full compare and eval would require a battery strip down to inspect cells, components, etc. While DJI may be charging a premium - as do most OEMs, they often have higher quality control and use known reputable components.
You can't even buy the official DJI Mavic Pro batteries anymore. I tried 2 years ago and had to go third party.
I bought 3 DJI batteries directly from them to avoid fake batteries and spent $285, but those batteries arrived dead, I couldn't charge them and nothing at all. Honestly, I don't really like this DJI company because they sell very expensively and things are not like one. think and look like things that alibaba sells and not quality things
This is most likely bad/poor cells in the battery.
Dji using maybe cheap cells..
And cells have å hard life since they are used max charge to complete empty.
That is killing cells.
They should be stored about 80%
Don't fly batteries totaly empty If you don't need to.
How can you fly a battery that is totally empty??
@@andrewfreeman88 when the controller say 0%
The battery is of course not at zero volts, but li ion batteries dont like very low voltage.
But im sure DJI have safety margins to extend battery life.
@@jada1173 so you mean the controller not the battery itself?
@@andrewfreeman88 The controller in the battery.
Battery has a little circuit that reports it have reached the minimum safe voltage.
But the battery is not zero volts, that's why it can still fly with 1% battery left.
You can still fly with these battery cell error's. It's just DJI's BSM battery management board sucks at balancing the cells. There are videos on it.
Anyway, to fly it, start the controller, then the app and then the drone last. Once it connects, as soon as it does, pull the sticks to take off, inwards, the drone will spin up and then you need to immediately push up to take off of the ground. Then you are good to go. I do all the time with mine as I am not buying another $100 battery when this one works fine. Make sure you are fast!
Video below on how to do it. It does work.

missed my chance... these are no longer available....
Thanks for letting me know! I did find these, which appear to be exactly the same (and they're on sale!): amzn.to/3lbGdv5
These batteries are JUNK! And to think people are going to trust their lives to electric cars!? LMAO
