- I havnt thought of this subject until recently when I read an old article online about a fellow reborn doll collector. What is going on inside some of us where they can never fill that void?

Collecting reborn dolls was one of the nails in the coffin of my marriage. As a reborn dad my wife hated the fact tgat i (a man) collected dolls. I have other collections as well but the dolls was where she drew the line. Never did she do without, or be put 2nd rate to them. Yet she was still jealous of them, so she left. So now its just me and daddys babies.
I immediately thought of this when I heard people collected reborns. With anything, there has to be balance. And I can totally see how this can turn into an addiction.
I love collecting dolls, but I do it on a budget, and I always put my real kiddos first. I can totally see how it can spiral out of control though. That's a sad situation.
Yes i can see also how easily it can take over, we love our dolls n we always want to buy ton of stuff but hope everyone can keep it under control
When the hobby slips into an addiction, I can see it would be hard to realize there needs to be a reevaluation of real self or family needs and wants. Communicating with family and friends has to be a priority to keep a balance. Cute pacifier looks great with her dress, she's sweet.

Having a reborn addiction sounds overwhelming 😕 😩 personal ly I have all the dolls I wanted. I brought only one fullbody silicone reborn every expensive. All my other dolls I got from paradise galleries and ashton drake gallery it's wonderful to connect in from these galleries. it's affordable and I was able to get all the different races all colors and ages. It's fun and amazing. I don't need any more dollars to collect. Thanks for sharing 👍 it's true you' can get addicted . I will keep an open mind about my collection and not spend anymore I am starting to making to make times to enjoy my collection. Also Amazon gas lovely dolls to collect I really starte d my collection during covid

Wow...I have never heard of this but I can relate to the addiction. I have put the dolls ahead of myself but never ahead of my family. Great chat.😄
I once bought a reborn I knew I couldn't afford. I am glad I have him as he was a prototype and from an artist I had been following for a while. He's the reason I had a balance on my credit card (just when I was starting to erase my debt completely). I see how this can be so addictive. I often see babies that I have all I can do not just to click on buy. I never told my family how much I spent on them (I have 4). If I did, they would probably be shocked and say I should have been happy with just one. They are all different ages, though, and I don't think I could have been happy with just one. My addiction to reborn is in the time I spend with them. I would be unhappy to not have them for a day.
Yes, this hobby can get out of control. We live and learn our lessons like any other irresponsible and destructive behaviors. It helps to have a strong spouse, friend, or relative who can effectively redirect doll collectors who are impulsive spenders. Great topic.💜😎🙏😇

OMG, I love that dress!! Marcella is such a beautiful baby, and her binky is so cute. ❤️ It’s sad and downright scary when any hobby becomes an addiction. My husband and I indulge in several hobbies, but we never take away from what we actually need. We always pay our bills - that comes first. But I’ve heard horror stories where a hobby takes over their lives and it becomes an actual addiction. Scary stuff!
I have six babies and I am done. No more clothes nothing. I think part of my addiction came from my trauma as a child. It seemed to help, but the trauma is still there. I am 51 and I am still living it and it doesn’t seem to get better. I guess I am taking it to my grave. There is definitely a very strong connection between my babies and my childhood. I am always trying to fix the pain that comes gnawing at me.
I'm a new subscriber 😊I never thought about going into debt over my hobby. I am a shut in at an assisted living home and have 8 Reborns and two monkeys. I never thought anyone would do something bad to get one. I can't even imagine .

Good subject tto talk about. At first I paid on lay away for my first reborn Aurora. But there was a short period where I put a couple of reborns on the card. I realised this isn't going to work for me!! Now I save up i buy doll kits I paint. I buy ready made baby dolls and I really enjoy the hobby. Aww she looks so pretty I love her pacifier and beautiful outfit 💗👍💗

Great Topic. Your video came up in my feed. She is precious. I could easily see this hobby becoming out of control if a budget and priorities are not set. Personally, family always comes first. It definitely takes patience in this hobby. These babies can always wait for clothing, accessories, etc. They never grow, so if you buy something today or next week or month, it doesn't matter. They'll be the same size. Great video and New Subscriber❤!

If I were a child who was told “NO” to things that were then bought by my parents constantly for a goddamn doll, I would be so hurt. I think that would give the impression to the REAL child that because this other child (a DOLL) is so perfect and “doesn’t spoil anything,” she gets whatever she wants, whenever she wants. But because the real child make mistakes, or even just moves around and gets things dirty PLAYING, or bc they have REAL needs that last at least 18 years, the parent(s) have to be miserly with them. If the REAL children are AT ALL neglected, they are likely to see the parents’ spoiling of the doll as a sign that there is something “wrong with them (the real children)” that drives the parents’ quest to create this “perfect” child-even if it has to be fake (doll). Ugh, gross.
She is adorable I Love the outfit on her, however when people do such things as taking away bill money and taking from another person or whatever it's something really wrong with that and they should do a reality check because this is just a baby doll not something real it's for the fun and it's a hobbie it's a way to get it but in a sensible way great video and thanks for sharing her.

I think its ok to collect the dolls but when you start talking to them and pretending they are real and taking them places thats even more of a problem than the buying addiction and you need to get help asap if you are doing this .i truely hope you get help and that void you are trying to fill gets filled with real love . may god bless you❤

Yes Reborn babies can become an addiction. I so love mine but I always put my family 1st. Did U change your channel name? I want to make sure I have your current name for my Reborn give away.
