@@PattayaJoe Ahhh. That explains why there was no one fishing when you made the video. I was wondering about that. Have you made any more vids around good fishing spots? I did see the one you made around the inlet down at Na Jomtien a couple of weeks ago and checked it out last Sunday but it was low tide so not much water there.
Really interesting video PJ . The large iron balls you pointed out are what is used in the construction of a Ubosot or Bot in a Temple this building is used for the ordination of Monks and must be ritually buried before the Bot can be used.
Cheers Terry. Thanks for the info . Yes I should of researched first just found out the temple on the pier is a site for the ashes for loved ones to be spread out to sea..
Thanks Pjoe for another "made my morning" video. Always something interesting in Pattaya. It seems like almost every area is mostly accessible by motor bike.
This place is not a historical site seeing place. It’s the place that Thai people put their love one remains after they have been cremated into the water.
I was going to say the same thing. I guess they were going to make a beautiful temple there years ago and decided not to complete the project but yes its still active.
It's not forbidden nor abandoned... Thais still use this temple for ceremonies where they scatter ashes of their loved ones into the sea ..you should have parked outside and enjoyed a 500m walk along the jetty 😁, .usually the caretaker and the Golf carts are allowed to ride in.. you're a legend mate .. up to the 2nd level and enjoy the view when the Sun sets ...nice little tour though PJ
Fascinating seeing the sites off the beaten track
TQ n keep em coming
Cheers Trev
Good find mate

Thanks for the video and revealing another possible spot to wet a line.
As a fellow Aussie battler, never miss an opportunity to check out a new spot.
Cheers mate but I just found out can't fish there as it's a marine reserve area

Yes have to get the tides right as not very deep water around pattaya. The lighthouse near Bali Hai pier seems a popular fishing spot
