    Keep the resin projects coming Ray. As a toolmaker I like the engineering that you put into your projects using various materials. Stay away from that silent no talking thing you did. I like to hear what your thoughts are, helps us all learn.

      Thanks so much for your feedback Paul, really appreciate it. I think keeping the resin projects on this channel may help from the videos going stale, but always interested to know what others (like yourself) think about it. I wont give the silent treatment unless I have run out of time! All the best. Ray

      I think some resin projects, such as epoxy tables and lamps, may be considered over done. But as long as there is creativity and originality in the videos like this, I think they can be amazing!

    Amazing work....this showed up on my home and I initially thought you were turning an actual can. I was curious to see what you were doing with the can....but when the video started, I realized what you were actually doing. Love it. As for negative comments, it's probably the people who ONLY want to see wood turning....but that's not the only thing that can be turned and either way there's prep work to be done. If people don't want to see this kind of thing, they can always close the video and move on to another one. Once again....awesome work.

    • @RayWhitbyCreations
      @RayWhitbyCreations  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Bill. Thanks so much for your detailed response. Really appreciate it. I tend not to focus of negative comments too much, but try to see if they make sense, see if I can make some subtle changes and see if that makes any difference. But ultimately I will do the things I'm inspired to do just to see if that triggers the algorithm. I did put up the can of Red Bull in the thumbnail which I acknowledge looks a little like click bait, but you got the idea straightaway and I think the general response has been very positive. Thanks once again. All the best. Ray

    • @lambdaman3228
      @lambdaman3228 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      > I initially thought you were turning an actual can.
      Probably because the thumbnail is an actual can of redbull in a lathe. That wasn't a part of the project you see when viewing the video.

This project is outstanding. You made it look relatively straightforward but I know it is not. I still cannot get my mind wrapped around all the steps required to produce this project. Hi Glen. Your words of encouragement blew me away! Thank you. As for beer, that should not be too problematic, unless you wanted a fresh (resin) can, sealed and still under pressure. I guess the real problem is choosing the best beer, or iconic beer can for such an endeavor... I don't mind a challenge, but nothing too extreme. Budweiser, whilst well recognized looks like it falls into this category. Carlsberg, Guinness, Fosters? All the best. Ray

      The best resin project I've seen? Your wood/resin Tetris video by far. I may be a bit partial since I'm an "80's baby" but your work was just amazing. Ray, please keep those resin projects coming. All resin or resin/wood doesn't matter though as a woodworker I prefer the resin/wood ones myself. Also, your commentary is very important in the videos as well.

    Man! I grew up in a machine shop so am somewhat of a perfectionist. I also have zero Art skills. The imagination you had to have to build this inside-out is amazing. The amount of work you put into it is also amazing. I think the finished product is beautiful. I know you see the flaws, but that's what everyone who makes things sees. I see something super unique and I love the small flaws. They give it character and make it one of a kind. You have a Hellavua skill!! That is amazing!!

      This could have been the last of the resin realism projects for my channel. The Coke can didn't take off. The Pepsi can didn't take off. I really did not expect this one to either. So really surprised that the YT algorithm has picked it up and run with it. Not that it should be about the views of course! They do help. But I really liked all 3 of these projects.
