Right.. you got caught by Ren's ability to make us all look at ourselves and suddenly start talking about stuff we've kept hidden inside ourselves for years.
I really appreciate the way you opened up your heart to us and gave a retrospective reaction to Hi Ren, chewing it fully, tasting every morsel.
So.. recommendations:
Depends on what you're into - almost every Ren video is a new genre, the guy simply can't be pigeon-holed.
Like rap?
The Hunger / Bittersweet symphony / Losing it / What you want - all different, all brilliant.
'The Hunger' is his rap rap showpiece - amazing flows, rhyming schemes and beats.. (listen to me! 3 weeks ago, I hated rap!)
'What you want' is a shout out to The Beastie Boys and 90's hip-hop, really fun track to see Ren at his most mischievous and fun.
Like beautiful singing/harmonies?
Chalk Outlines / How to be me - both duets with Chinchilla, awesome stuff.
But have your box of tissues handy for How to be me - it's a song about a friend of Ren's who.. um.. took 'that ideation' to the end, and the devastation that left behind. Beautiful, but heart-breaking.
Like bardic story-telling?
The Jenny/Screech/Violet tales trilogy (the 'Full' version) is the one. I can't comment on that, because I've held off on watching them because I know it's gonna be a ten-tissue watch and I'm not strong enough for that yet. 😭 I'll get to it one of these days, but I know I need to set a whole night aside for it...
Anyway, I've rambled enough as well, so I'll just say bye for now. I'll be back... 🥸 (oops, wrong emoji... obviously wanted this one 😎.. yes, that's much cooler.)
Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full) will kick your ass, in the best way.. A must see..

Happy I found your reactions - I think it would be timely to react to "Ren Ft. Bibi - Crutch" if you are ever going to react to this gem from his life/soul. After this, could go all the way back to "Chalk Outlines" then "How to Be Me" and then "Su!cIde". Also on his Bar-core front "Ren - The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full)". Then maybe "Genesis" then "Dignity" then "Patience" .. if it's Ren, am feeling confident I'll be quick to pull up.
Thank you! I have been wanting to do more Ren reactions, but I want to be smart about it in terms of the order. I know I want to do each song individually as well… not a compilation like I just did with Nightwish. I’d like to start with some of his earliest videos first so I can become familiar with his progression.

If you want to go way way back to get a sense of a progression like that I guess I ought mention - you could start with his debut solo album "Freckled Angels" (16 tracks) [most are not doing that deep a dive] but really his first official single was "Jessica" and then came "Patience" etc. In any event #Happy_Renaissance :)) ^_^, cheers
It's the D(evil), and his minions that you hear when you have quiet time, pray, or try to sleep. If you have an illness, it seems to amplify the hard time you have. Trust in The Most High, pray to HIM, only. WATCH, what happens!
This is Ren's critique of universal health and mental care systems.......( "sick boi, sick boi, bitten by a tick boi...." ) he contracted Lyme disease and an autoimmune deficiency --- was MISdiagnosed as bipolar --- prescribed psychotropic drugs, which actually "fed" his psychosis --- this all started when he was 17, and he is still in treatment....there is a GoFundMe account to help him pay medical costs......the pig is a butcher ( Ren's view of many doctors ) and the therapist just speaks "psycho babbel", NOT meaningful analysis of his condition....Thanks for your empathetic reactions
