Me too! I actually write musicals for fun, so I kinda made a plot outline. I hope one day to be able to share/collaborate with Iconis on it, though I know the odds are slim.
Okay so Kevin the main character is a killer (obviously). One day, he’s on the subway, just him and this teenager, and the teenager asks for Kevin to kill her. He’s surprised at her bluntness, and she explains that her mom died recently, but she made a promise not to kill herself, so naturally she tracked down a murderer and asked him to kill her. Kevin is pretty uncomfortable with the idea, and the two start talking. She tells him how she figured out who he was, he tells her about not being able to feel anything. The two make a deal. If the girl can get Kevin to feel something, to be less empty inside he will kill her in thanks. So she finds this guy for him to date, only to find out that the guy is a cop. I can’t really remember most of the middle, but essentially Kevin falls in love with the other guy and kinda ends up becoming a father figure for the girl, until something happens (again, this was like a year ago and I honestly forgot this existed) and the girl dies. Then, Kevin goes to kill the people that killed her, and his boyfriend arrests him, and Kevin is taken to a mental hospital. Logistically, I’m thinking that those three may be the only actors. Also, all of the songs would be in the first act, while the second act is reprises of all of the first act songs in reverse order. So, this song is the opening number, and it’s reprise is the closing number
@@kennedywarren9347 ooh that's actually really cool! And I love the idea of all the songs being reprises of each other for the second act! This is an amazing idea, you have a very creative mind!

Here’s my plot for a musical with this song Kevin is the main character (duh) I would go with college student or something along the lines of that. He’s lived a pretty boring and basic life with both his parents, mainly work focused meaning he didn’t get the attention most children tend to get. In school he didn’t have many people to talk to and then moved onto college (away from his parents) , not being the “weird kid” if you wanna label it but kind of like a background character. Kevin becomes more and more irritated by not having any attention throughout his life. He wants to be seen and for it to stop being so mediocre and boring. That’s when he kills the girl. It was just a sudden unplanned moment where he felt power. The girl was pretty well known but wasn’t the “popular girl” so immediately the small town becomes worried for what’s happening. He’s worried himself but only slightly. I feel like it would be comedic and someone would be talking to him about it and he’d like say something nearly blowing his cover and freaking out. Id say the guys he nearly blows his cover too becomes his friend. Kind of. Kevin plans to murder him but in the mean time he’s gaining his trust. Kevin gets a knock on the door from his friends other friend. He lets her in and he ends up killing her and his friend walks in on Kevin stood next to her dead body. The friend obviously freaks out and Kevin end up knocking him out and tying him up in his bedroom so he can’t escape. I feel like there would be a song (comedic) called like “so my best friends a murderer” or “my friends a serial killer” and it would be funny but extremely dark. I’ve yet to finish my plot but feel free to comment below and help me out if you want :))

Without a second of debate
I grab her hair and she goes frantic
I wrap my hands around her neck
With all the passion I can rally
We're by that club that's owned by Beck
I dump her body in an alley
I sweat a little bit but I'm still numb
It was kind of 'whatever' but it was mostly dumb
I walk home wondering what it all means
Would I feel different if I lived in Queens?
Oh, who's to say?
It doesn't matter anyway...
'Cuz I can't feel a thing anymore
I can't feel a thing anymore
It's all been done before
And everything's a horrible bore
And living is a terrible chore
You know that it's true
There's nothing new to do-
There's nothing new to do-
There's nothing new to do in Brooklyn anymore
There's nothing new to do in Brooklyn anymore
There's nothing new to do in New York anymore
There's nothing new to do in America anymore
There's nothing new to do in the universe anymore!
It's all been done before!
There's nothing new to do in Brooklyn anymore!

2:06 ALWAYS MY FAV PART
In my hiatus i am going to learn this on piano
i woke up with this in my head
I cried when I first saw Andrew all those months ago. The reason I cried was because I couldn’t understand how one man could be so gorgeous
lord i love him
i love how the comment section is divided between Simping, BOM jokes, and Falsettos jokes.

4:24 just a personal time stamp

I love the way he gets so into the songs he's singing!
IM SO IN LOVE WITH HIM AND THIS PERFORMANCE
I would love to see this character in a musical
I know it's 7 years later, but i NEED this song's instrumental. Please someone make one I'm BEGGING you. I want to perform this so bad
Im so late and youve probably figured it out by now or forgotten about this song but i’ll still reply bc i can do it
I hope u read this and realize how much u loved this song
@@mrhandsssaww this is so sweet
he was made for this song
6 years and a billion rewatches later and
*i can’t feel a thing anymore*
except for the giant smile that spreads across my face when andrew sings❤️
I love how you can tell Joe Iconis wrote this by the instrumentals. Plus Andrew Rannells? First of all, power duo. Second, he fits this song so well vocally, I watch this nearly every day. lmao
"I think I need a change. I need to feel some heaven" SOUNDS like heaven💙
looks like kevin price relapsed
I love what this implies
