This series the past 10 years has been one of the most underrated in college football. Just about every game has come down to the final series and could tilt either way. My heart breaks for the kicker. College field goal kicking and college free throw shooting are the most chaotic things in sports. I would never want to be a kicker. You are either the here or the zero
It’s obscured by the fact that A&M has won most of them. The games themselves have been wild
Part of the issue is that the hash marks are placed closer to the sidelines in college, which makes a terrible angle for kickers the closer you get to the end zone. It's much easier to kick that FG at the NFL level. People may not notice the huge difference in the hash marks between college and NFL.
If I had a nickel for every time a field goal hit off the top upright this year, I'd have two nickels...Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
you'd have more than that if someone were able to give you this improbable, temporally-disparate, negligible amounts of archaic coinage, but why would you think two of something is weird more than you receiving $0.10 for doing nothing?

At the end of the game the camera panned over to cam and it showed him in tears on the bench and my heart felt for him so much

Would it have been good if it bounced forward? Does the ball have to be entirely inside the upright, or is breaking the vertical 'plane' of the goalpost enough to count, similar to how a TD just has to break the front of the goalline?
It becomes a judgement call by the ref if it goes over the top, but is allegedly supposed to be ruled “No Good” in that scenario..but all up to the ref…could deem it an inch inside thus Good.

Hey, y’all continue to make it tough on us. I’ll be honest us being 10-1 since we joined the SEC is kind of deceiving. Outside of a couple years, all our games have been nail biters. Maybe the SEC will allow us to continue this annual rivalry when Texas and OU join, instead of giving us Miss State as our third rival.

They should add that as a score In the playbook. If you kick the ball it has to go through the uprights but if you hit the post it still counts as a score bc it’s almost impossible to hit the post anyway.

But when the ball hits the top of the upright and travels forward, and lands behind the center of the uprights it's No Good?
The only explanation is that if the ball hits the top of the upright, it's considered a dead ball.
So he can hit the upright as long as it's not the TOP of the upright.

If it hits the top of the upright and then goes over the crossbar, it's good. This one bounced back and didn't go over the crossbar, so it's no good.

First it was Florida beating Utah. Then Florida lost to Kentucky the following week. Then Appalachian st defeated A&M. Then A&M defeated Miami. Then Miami lost to middle Tennessee. Now A&M defeated Arkansas. What if next week, Alabama somehow loses to Arkansas?
@@ericsupermagnificent I think they could Alabama always struggled vs read option and RPO teams last year they played 2 and got destroyed in the run game by Florida and got destroyed by the play action pass game by Arkansas the middle on their run defense isn’t that strong and they have many blown coverages which Arkansas loves to throw it deep when they do throw it and they love running up the middle on a lot of run plays they also have the athletes to go toe to toe with Bama and the coaching and like last year Sam Pittman will probably draw up a trick play like the fake field goal and it’s at Arkansas which is a decent ways away from Bama and their probably pissed off after losing to Arkansas is heartbreaking fashion everything is setting up well for Arkansas to get the upset and I think they will do it if Bama were to win it would either take blowing up Arkansas defense which I don’t think they will do or being disciplined and honest on defense athletes and talent won’t bail them out of this one they have to play good it will be a fun game to watch 💯
