I'd rather have dark mornings than dark evenings and besides another issue that is never brought up is that the electric bill goes up by having to turn the lights in houses earlier.

I am one that wants that horrible practice stopped. It doesn't just mess with my sleep one or two days, but several weeks. Insomnia is a national epidemic.

I agree with the doctor , it messes up our very delicate sleep life

We in Florida shouldn't have to participate in daylight saving time at this time of year . This should be done in autum or winter, not in spring. So we move the clock forward one hour into blazing florida heat instead of leaving that for autumn or winter when it starts to get cooler in florida. Real smart.😚

Right, here where I live when daylight savings time ends in November, it actually gets dark too early like at 4:30pm at the earliest in the winter while during daylight savings time, it actually gets dark too late like as late as 8:30pm. That's good idea if Florida actually switched it the other way around like say have daylight savings go through the holidays, January and February, then in March, set our clocks back an hour then set then forward again in November. This would balance the amount of day time we have during our schedule for the entire year.

Daylight savings time is obsolete. Now there is no reason for it.And numerous studies over the last 50 years has shown. How dangerous this time change actually is.We need to stop with this daylight savings time immediately

My circadian rhythm prefers standard time. I cannot sleep when it is light out, even with black out shades. Businesses worry about losing customers if it doesn’t stay lighter longer, but if I want to go to a business, I will regardless of the amount of light. Please abolish Daylight Saving time!

Yeah, I have dark shades in my room. I like it when it gets dark at 5:30

Haven't done that for 28 years, moved to Hawaii, they don't do that sillyness.

Hawaii doesn't need to change their clocks because they are the state with the most sunlight. Also its far away from the USA. That's why they are able to get away with it.

@@jojopuppyfish you aren't gaining sunlight simple because you move the hands on a clock. all you are doing is changing which number you call out when someone asks what time it is. this is human stupidity at its greatest

Humans in their arrogant wisdom think they know better, I don't need a doctor to tell me this messes with my circadian rhythm, nor do I need a politician to tell me this benefits me, when going on daylight saving time I tend to use more electricity because my lights stay on longer in the morning. Going back and forth two times a year completely messes up my routine and takes me at least a week to readjust, any sensible doctor will tell you this is unhealthy. There is no sensible reason to use daylight savings time anymore. My hope is that they will pick one or the other, stay on it or get off it

This biannual superstitious ritual needs to end, and the only viable solution is to split the difference and then leave the clocks alone!

Especially since California actually voted to stop doing it, but our politicians refuse.

you dont lose sleep if you plan for it. the point is, why do we all have to go through this BS twice a year when it doesn't help anything and it harms many things.

    The issue is the following:
The USA (except Hawaii and Alaska) need to be on a uniform time. If you don't change the clocks, some areas of the country get alot less light.
BTW it happens on a Sunday and it really doesn't make a big difference.

They explain in this segment that it causes injuries and deaths on the following Monday. I’d say that’s a pretty significant “difference”
