I've come up with a simple Python Graphical User Interface implementation of the code in question (with some additions): github.com/alexd3rsan/rollingshutterpy
It's written in Python 3.x and has been successfully tested under Windows 10 and Arch Linux. You'll still need Pillow (PIL) in order for it to run (just like the original code does).
It additionally checks for 'missing areas' caused by lacking frame count, or too low shutter speed.
It's still a rapid prototype though, so be aware of that! I'm happy to try to fix some potential errors though. :)
The most important thing missing IMHO, is the lack of the infamous 'parker square' symbol as application icon.
But there is always room for improvements like that (and any other critical error, ofc).
Hope it helps! Have a nice day! :D

Yeah he was taking the piss at Destin for going above and beyond for his video. with the branding of his page everywhere as a watermark to stop freebooting pages from reusing it. Destin thought it was great fun. He's a swell fellow. He can take the piss like no other.

I found Destin’s video annoying to watch. Then again, I'm not a fan of his channel, like the content, don't much like his style. (Still subscribed as the content is normally good.)
Yours has a better scene of humor and is much less pretentious. So you get the thumbs up instead. :)

I saw Destin's video first and I really enjoyed it, but I must admit - I did loved how simply you were able to recreate his effects (and your explenations were quite funny too). The only problem I had was how simple you made it sound to write that Python code. I don't think a lot of people could have just done that. It would be cool of you to make the last method with the scanner more smooth and show that! Granted you own a scanner or have access to one, I think that most of us could then recreate the effect our selves. Anyway, great video!

For propellers you can use a filter to remove them from video. Lots of aviation GoPro kits come with a filter to help remove the prop distortion. Not exactly sure how they work, but it’s something with the filter lowering the light level which slows down the shutter I believe.
