Who knew this 250 year old beloved classic was waiting for this Brazilian metal singer to develop his voice (took years of training to do so) in order to produce this power in order to punctuate its message? He took us on a journey of faith from simple acceptance to singing praise to the Throne of Heaven. I'm convinced archangels sing metal. This rendition of Amazing Grace was unexpected for me as well. I had never liked metal. I'm a fan of the power it produces now and the emotion it engenders as well as a fan of Dan Vasc. He has well over 200 videos out there covering many genres of music with that incredible instrument in his throat.
As a Dan fan the saying is once you listen to any song by Dan specially this brilliant song ❤ you will go down the rabbit hole xx you will be stunned, thankyou for sharing this and your great reaction ❤

Something is wrong with your playback sound. Dan Vasc is a master of his craft. All cover songs are mostly better than the originals. Start with the witcher cover song and then just keep going 😜. The voice has addiction potential. Dan also has his own band "Fearless".... Great ❤️

More often than not, epic rock or metal songs always take the listener on a journey, think "Stairway To Heaven"/Led Zeppelin or "War Pigs"/ Black Sabbath. This is a Spiritual that I have heard thousands of times in Church. Particularly at an Irish funeral. There is usually a bagpiper outside when the casket comes out. Dan's use of the "harp" (which I read was given to him by his beloved late dad, when he was a child) gives this lovely Spiritual a Celtic feel. As for "metal" he just gives it a "sprinkle of metal", brilliant. The best cover I have EVER heard.
