@Oriya Zero we have been for a while actually. People infinitely recommend stuff. So sure. But I honestly wont remember. It’s too much. When we are done. We’ll pick another that we like and seems to do well on youtube. I run a few ideas with patreons and move forward
The actress originally refused the role because she didn't think she could play the character fairly, but the director held off for like a year and tried to get her again. She worked with a number of Autistic people to get a feel for it so she could properly represent them. I haven't heard many say she did a bad job, in fact most have been very positive. The entire cast did such good jobs to keep everything balanced. Great reaction as well, I loved this show and have had an absolute blast watching other viewers hit the same points with the same reactions. And you guys, you have a good hold on the plot, not exactly right, not exactly wrong... but you have a good feel. Lots of good pivots on this one.
Yo I was not expecting this but I am pleasantly surprised. I myself has autism and this show does an incredible job at displaying some aspects of autism. I actually know someone who Is like Woo and remembers everything you tell him. (Also I’m pretty sure it’s a common opinion but we all hate labels, they are just so itchy and uncomfortable. All of my clothes have the labels imprinted in the clothing itself)
BTW, Woo Young Woo in Korean looks like: 우 영 우 thus, it is a palindrome (spelled same way backwards as forwards) -- so, when she introduces herself, she says out loud a bunch of Korean palindromes (including tomato, which in Korean is: 토 마 토 Toh-Mah-Toh)... the English subtitles list a bunch of English palindromes: "kayak, deed, rotator, noon, racecar" so you can see what she is getting at. :) She says it lightning fast, so it's easy to miss... you'll hear/see it enough times over the course of the series that you might even start to recognize the Korean ones when she rattles them off :)
The main actress, Park Eunbin doesn't have autism. She's a really good actress. And she declined the 1st time she was offered the role cause she was afraid she was no gonna deliver it well. After this you can watch her in The King's affection where she plays a woman pretending to be a king. She is a really talented actress.
9:38 hi friend. I’m autistic. She’s not choosing the mood. She’s looking at what her face is supposed to look like when she’s happy. A lot of times our face doesn’t look to others what we’re feeling, which is why people think we’re angry or we don’t care or whatever. Imposing a face for the comfort of others actually takes a lot of mental energy and is exhausting by the end of the day.
I love how Myung-seok went from hater to lover real quick. He really proud of Woo. I think he was just worried about Woo in the beginning. He's a good man i can tell.
Everyone I've recommended the show to, always ended up asking me to confirm whether or not she was autistic in real life. Park Eun-bin is just so good!
Dang... this is gonna hurt. The drama? Oh no, the waiting until you post each episode reaction because this is definitely one of the best, if not the best, drama released this year.
Incase no one mentioned it when Woo tells people 'My name is Woo Young-woo, whether it is read straight or flipped. Kayak, deed, rotator, noon, racecar, Woo Young-woo. ' she is saying words that can read forward or back just like her name.
The actress doesn't have autism. Saw her first in The King's affection and almost didn't recognize her here, because it was a totally different role and she was great in both dramas.
I love the chemistry between all the hosts on this channel. You all can talk but not let it get in the way of catching the story. Keep up the good work. I’m a new Patreon supporter based on your “The Glory” reactions and now this show.
@@YaBoyRockLee Id rather you all talk too much than not enough. I just hope you aren’t missing story. With The Glory I noticed that folks on other channels were so busy talking that they missed crucial points. As the viewer then we get frustrated that obvious things are missed. But you guys don’t have that problem because even if one or two of you miss something, the third host catches it and can explain. 😆😆😆
you guys are so funny. It was fun to rewatch the drama with you guys. BTW, the scene where the lawyers are in a meeting together, talking about what happened with the old curmudgeon in the hospital, when Young Woo repeated word for word what the old dude said, there was a bunch of swear words that you don't say in polite company. That was why the others reacted that way. In Korea, nice girls don''t swear at all, especially as an adult, and especially in front of older people. Teens might swear but they wouldn't do it in front of older people at all.
Jun Ho is not biased, he never thought at first that Young Woo is an attorney because she might be a client, besides it's her first day of work, and the CEO recommended her, anyway you will find out in the coming episodes.
Finally! I started watching this after I heard it was coming to youtube and I'm on episode 11 at the moment. I hope Director keeps the lawyer drip going forward.
“We know him from somewhere.” Yes, every K-Drama in which the MC is a girl and her father is a character 😂. Ok, really only “All of us are Dead”, “Glitch”, and EAW but he does seem typecast as the “dad of the female MC”.

@@YaBoyRockLee I know that Jamaicans eat beef patties, I love them. My cousin in law makes them all the time ... So good 😊 just didn't get the joke part cause people associate what's familiar to them 🤷🏾♀️

30:07 Judging from the reaction, it seems that you do not understand the meaning. English subtitles have been changed simply. What my husband said was a curse. Besides, it's a very harsh, old-fashioned swear word. And because there are many connotative words, the length of the speech is short. I used a translator to write the meaning of the swear word. (just out of interest) "It means an incompetent and uneducated person who cuts off his arms, legs, and head, cuts them into 6 pieces, moves like crazy, and then dies of an epidemic." Wooyoung-woo remembered those words and said the same thing. So her boss showed a bewildered attitude. (I don't speak English, so I used a translator. There is a possibility that the meaning may be misunderstood.)
There is a Thai Movie that came out in 2008 called Chocolate. About an autistic girl who is a martial arts prodigy. She learned by watching the Mauy Thai Students train at an Academy she lives next to as well as watching movies and TV. If you guys never seen it before I highly recommend you check it out but when you guys where talking about Young-Woo doing karate Chops it made me think of that movie.
_I know I'm late, but I didn't have time to watch this show when you guys were, but I am now, so here I am. So,_ I have a feeling you two will ace this reaction series with your knowledge and intellect combined. Entertaining and thought-provoking, you know what made me stick around.
Unequivocal Fire, for those who don't know they have also reacted to the following shows on Patreon: Extracurricular, Vincenzo, Squid Game, Kingdom, Sweet Home and the movies Parasite, New World and Train to Busan. That's one hell of a catalogue with some of the best reactors on TH-cam!
This was totally not my genre when I started it, but soon became my top 3 kdrama of all time (I've seen about 15 kdramas so far). I hope you like it and finish all 16 eps. Rare for a kdrama, they're apparently coming out with a season 2 too. But not for a long time; one of the male leads began his mandatory military service so they won't film until he's discharged.
The drama is famous for being a male-hating drama. The artist produced a work in memory of the former mayor of Seoul who passed away. The former mayor of Seoul, a male feminist, took his own life after being discovered after secretly committing a sex crime behind his back. The content of the drama is adapted from the former mayor of Seoul. South Korea is a truce country where young people in their early 20s are forcibly conscripted for two years (the last three years). They haven't been paid for decades. If you have 100 discussions on this topic in college, you will come to the same conclusion 100 times. However, only politicians cause problems by unilaterally declaring different things. Some dramas and media also played a role here. By the way, the drama writer was also close with the former mayor of Seoul. Gender conflict is very serious in Korea. Controversy is necessary in the present age. The absence of controversy is a limitation and side effect of modern philosophy. Debate and consideration must go hand in hand.

Whenever I watch you guys, I'm impressed. It's easy to miss some translations, but I guess you guys are used to reading subtitles that you don't miss things and that's why you are misdirected, which many shows, but expecially law dramas try to do. Great job not missing much in translations. But in this series especially, due to the translations, you will miss some things due to cultural elements and translators translating not literally, but paraphrasing in American culture. Just like RM from BTS learned English through Friends, one day you guys will catch more of Korean rhymes and words play. Thanks for the reaction!
I can’t tell if this is a re-upload or if I’m experiencing Deja Vu… I would have sworn I’d seen this reaction from this channel several months earlier…
The scene where she quoted what the husband said, it was a lot of very rude language -- consider it basically swearing. That's why it shocked the lead attorney.
BTW the korean title is the Weird/Strange attorney woo. Isanghan is the word they use in Korean which does not translate to extraordinary. I appreciate the original title as an autistic bc neurotypicals can tell autistic people are different, it is part of the discrimination we face. The nonautistic characters pick up that she is strange, even if she is a genius in some aspects :)
Some of the episodes in this drama were adapted from real events. Also, please consider the differences in legal standards and trial culture between Korea and the United States.
Facts we do. Especially ep 4. But i we generally go either intuition since we don’t know Korean law but so far Woo explains Korean law pretty well so we see the difference. Thank you
Vincenzo is Uncut on patreon. We respectfully won’t cut and post on TH-cam because its long and costly or time consuming to edit that beast lol. But it was fun
@@YaBoyRockLee alright! Btw from the same writer as Vincenzo, pls react The Fiery Priest! It’s very good drama with more action and comedy than Vincenzo! 😂
It's crazy how I just finished watching Core4VT reactions to this and now you guys are doing it too. I remember loving your reaction to Squid Game a lot... Like i always looked forward to your videos. This series is in the Top 5 best k-dramas I have seen. 1. Itaewon Class(best so far imo). 2. Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo. 3. Also, please consider the differences in legal standards and trial culture between Korea and the United States.
Facts we do. Especially ep 4. But i we generally go either intuition since we don’t know Korean law but so far Woo explains Korean law pretty well so we see the difference.
Thank you
so vincenzo only on patreon? is uncut or cut version? I prefer cut version tho :(
Vincenzo is Uncut on patreon.
@@chaianunsilaban1557 appreciate the suggestion
Yess finally
My fave new show!
3. Alchemy of Souls(damn, soo good).
4. Goblin (masterpiece)
5. Crash Landing On You (North and South Korea romance fiction, what more could be better? A REUNIFICATION i guess😅)
So that was me shamelessly suggesting those dramas and I'll subscribe to Patreon even if I had to pick coins from a wish pond.
Have a good time 💜
Appreciate you
@@YaBoyRockLee thanks a lot... I am sending you guys lots of love from The Gambia 🇬🇲💜
Didn’t expect you guys reacting to this. Hopefully, you watch and react to Alchemy of Souls too.
My first Korean Drama was 'Boys Over Flowers'. I would love to see a reaction 🤗
Pleasant surprise
Ayeee i can finish this without it being with my ex :D
Have you guys watched Hotel Del Luna? that is a great Kdrama too.
Have not
