I think you and Steve are a pair of magicians keeping so many balls in the air at once, I would not worry about timely videos, we all just enjoy watching them as and when you post them.
Tracy it's amazing that you guys get to do the videos at all given the amount you have to do on the smallholding as well as working fulltime and parenting. The idea of chatting through what you've done in the week works if it works for you. FYI watching and listening while you worked on the tomatoes was not boring.
Cheers Tracy 🍷😉 Love that you’ve resurrected Friday night chats! That said, you do what works for you and we’ll be here. 👍 Those beans look like ours did when we had contaminated compost from the council but it affected all of them so not sure what’s wrong with yours. The garlic is odd but there’s still time…🤞 Enjoy your wine and we’ll think of you when we raise a glass tonight. 😊 xx
I think the beans have been eaten as they’ve emerged! 🐌 looking forward to Friday already 😂 thank you for always being so supportive Deb and say hi to Geoff from us 👋
@@OurSmallholdingAdventure how rude of 🐌! Onward and upward - I’m sure you’ll win the battle. At least in resowing beans are quick to germinate. It’s always good to touch base with you and Ste. Geoff says hi back! We have our first proper frost here this morning. Winter is definitely coming! Xx
Love that you’re bringing back Friday wine night and the idea of chatting over the week’s bits n bobs sounds great. I’m amazed that you get any videos out at all given how busy you are. I’ve been half toying with recording a bit when we move to our new place but like you, we both work full time and I’m not sure when I’d fit in the editing - it is a bit intimidating! Slugs and snails seem to be widening their palates this year - they have completely decimated all our peppers and aubergines when they didn’t go near them in previous years. It is heartbreaking as we nursed them under grow lights for months and they were so healthy and strong and now they’re little spindles 😢
Oh the sods, so sorry to hear that!! I really hope you do video! I’d love that. I just edit on my phone and have resigned to not having fancy editing or songs as I don’t have the time. When we win the lottery 😉
Evening Tracey. I have a few garlic that has also done exactly the same as yours. Most are whopper and strong stemmed but about 8 or 9 have the 'present curling ribbon' look. I am pretty sure it is either because a) my sheep stood on them when they were first coming up b) it's the effect of birds pecking at some of the new shoots when they first started to erupt or c) weather related nonsense. The small cloves will undoubtedly be due to the lack or cold weather and hard frosts.
I have had very poor germination with my dwarf beans this year, plus some like yours almost stunted. Only half the sweetcorn germinated , however runner bean and Greek gigantes have grown amazingly. I always feed my tomatoes and have a glass of wine on a Friday !
Seems there’s a few of us who have, so it can’t be a coincidence 🤷♀️ same here on the Greek beans, they’ve got crazy. I’ve just planted out to I hope they’re not eaten 🐌 how fab! Cheers to that!
😂😂 one glass 🍷you say. It is an insane time of so much to do after the downtime of late winter early spring. Sounds like a plan just tid bits of the week is fine by me and a chit chat for Friday. That outdoor cucumber will look fab growing along the fence. The cloves not forming is usually not cold enough but the leaf curl could be weather related or pests hopefully the bed does not have wireworm 😢. Have a super week guys and hope the garlic gets sorted, Ali 🌥️🇨🇦
I don’t know about the garlic thing, but I’m in Facebook group Canadian Garlic Growers group and the vast majority are farmers on some scale and they have a lot of knowledge. 🥂
Hi Tracy. Love your gardening videos. It's my first full year of having a tunnel & outside bed & love to see what you are doing. Do you always have blueberry plant inside & when did you sow garlic? I have lots of slugs too & I'm using beer traps :-(
Thank you Sharon! Best of luck to you! I have tried the blueberries outside and they are better inside for sure, here at least. Having said that if you have a sunny, protected spot then it’ll be suitable. Garlic went in October I think. Autumn anyway, when I get chance usually 😂 I’ll check for you on the next one I record if I remember. Sorry on the slugs! Swines!
My garlic did the same last year with the extra leaves and dimpling but they all came good in the end so I wouldn’t worry It has been a mild winter so maybe some haven’t split because they just didn’t get cold enough ? The gardens looking way more ahead than mine 😢
Not really sure what is wrong with your beans so guessing that if you bought the compost it may have the aminopyralid contamination? If it’s your own compost I honestly have no idea. Your Tom’s and peppers look so good. We have a little dormouse in the house who’s avoiding capture and is snacking on my baby tomato plants! I’ve had to resow 3 Crimson crush today and really not sure if I’ll get anything from them as it’s late in the season 😢 The garlic looks like they haven’t been able to be released from inside the stalk and have crinkled up. I wouldn’t worry too much about the garlic bulbs as we’ve still got another good couple of months before they need to be lifted and that is usually when they start to swell the most. Plenty of water between now and then and they’ll be right 🤞🏻
Oh so sorry on the tomato loving doormouse! I hope yours come good for you. I hope some of the garlic works at least! As you say, time yet. I think a snail has had the beans!
Hi Tracy we need to know your advice, we have many veg in our garden in growers such as potatoes, Brussels and now we have cup fungi growning is this a concern or is it ok
Sorry for the late reply! I tend to reply to comments either immediately or all at once a few days later when editing the next one! I really don’t know for certain but if I had it I wouldn’t be worried. Maybe Mick who comments can help as he seems to know his onions, or fungi 😉
You whittle to much Tracy , its your channel so run it how you choose , Whatever you decide to do I doubt you will loose any subscribers, but if it dosent workout you can always digress 😂 . Please say hello to my little angel 😇 Grace. Best wishes to you all.

That's very reassuring Mike, thank you!

Thank you for your support as always Sean, that’s really kind.
I can’t imagine listening to a video at double speed, I think my brain would implode 😂 xx

Thank you lovely, sorry you’ve got a few the same. Great description tho! I think it’s weather then.

One large glass 😂 thanks for the advice Ali, the garlic is a strange but interesting one. I’ll keep an eye on it and report back as always!

🥂
Half of my Cobra beans germinated funny like yours. Not sure if slugs got in early and ate the tops.
I think that’s exactly what it is after mulling it over. Sorry you’ve had the same 😢
Really enjoyed this catch up.
How big was that snail? If that one meets some of the ones in my garden I don't want to see the size of the babies 😅
🐌 😂 I dread to think 😂
