      No. I think they are just given a new one. I dont think that they spend their own time.

    Pretty epic flying!! Although there is no rebuilding, I’m sure they just get another model altogether. The guys who are on these teams don’t have to worry about any parts or anything. Very lucky!!

    Fast forward to 2:48, and that'd give an idea of how long I could have kept that beast in the air. Great mic on the camera as well, dude's rotors were coming through the 10" sub on my 5.1 system, I could feel the bird when it passed in front of the crowd.

      Its very expensive, that crash was at least 300$ damage + a lot of repairing hours. Drive train, blades, boom, bearings, etc. And there is always more damage than you expect at first glance

    This isnt a hobby for poor people. Its hard to let out a yahoo when moving your thumb a 16th of an inch cost you a few grand. I know this man has tons of parts, probably for free but setting this thing back up to fly is a hell of a job at best.

    The death of the crazy locust 🤣. I'm not a great enthusiast of 3d helicopter flight because it never could be done in a real scale helicopter. It demands a lot of ability of the pilot, but for me don't looks a beautifull flight.

  • @mikesecondo2254
    @mikesecondo2254 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's what happens when you don't fly like a human being.....fly scale correctly!!!!

  • @charlessmith6777
    @charlessmith6777 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know many will not agree with me, but I have never been impressed with this type of flying. This is not skill... It's reckless insanity. Imagine what could be the result (to himself or a spectator) if he makes just a small mistake in stick input, if a servo lets go, a clevis break. or god forbid a blade letting go and flying off. Imagine the stresses on the components. Those blades are nothing more than Samurai swords at the ready to decapitate someone. This video bears witness... Imagine that blade which embedded itself in the ground, it could have been somebodies face!! I wouldn't be nothing to applaud or cheer about then. I've been an RC plane pilot for years (just now getting into helis). When guys at my field (plane or heli) get into this extreme 3D flying I pack up the kids and head for home. Yeah it took hours of practice to get to this level of expertise as demonstrated in the video , but that is not flying, it's juggling. What pilots are doing when they fly like this is an egotistical display of "look at me". It's showing off at the expense of good sense and safety. I enjoy watching a pilot fly a plane or heli as they were meant to fly. Imagine being invited to a friends house to see his model train layout and he makes the engine do wheelies around the track. Not natural at all.
