This is the happiest I’ve seen him while still being self deprecating as hell. That match at PWG against ZSJ is the most emotional I have ever been at a wrestling match. He deserves all of his accomplishments. He truly is a lovely and hilarious person and I’m glad the world got to see him.
Chuck's "I have a grenade!" spot is one of those turning point spots for me that wrestling can just be fun. It doesn't hurt the business for silly things to happen. When they are fun and well placed it makes the show more.
Chuck Taylor was like an alt comic in the sense that he was pushing wrestling into this new, weird and hilarious and fun direction before that was a normal thing or even an accepted thing. He fucking rules, it’s as simple as that.
Chucky T is such a smooth wrestler and hearing him talk solidifies that This peel behind the curtain is very refreshing to see the human side of pro wrestling
I think he just needed some time off camera to fully heal from injury so they wrote him off in that match with Trent. I imagine he will be back once he's fully cleared.
Gutted his in ring career is likely over but he’s so experienced and clearly a good dude, so needs to stay around producing or whatever he’s best at at backstage.
Renee is such a great person for interviews. She seems to always know how to ask questions in a way that doesn't come across as blunt but also not beating around the bush. As for Chuck, AEW was my first experience with him, Trent and Orange. They've all gone through a lot in that time and whether this is the end or the start of his comeback I'm here for it.
From scaring kids in Ian Rotten’s shitty rings, to team FIST in Chikara, introducing me to a slew of indie guys and giving me a fucking ocean of entertainment via the goddamn amazing shoot series of Poppin Dogs and Talkin Hogs, I’ve been a fan of the Kentucky Gentleman for a long time. Chuck, I love you dude. The Best Friends on national TV made me so fucking happy. Keep on rockin dude, you’re awesome 🤘 Edit : yo, also, the awful waffle is one of the best fucking finishers out there. Legit.
"not loving wrestling as a verb as much, but still loving wrestling as a noun" is such a fantastic way of conveying it. Love me some Chuckie T, best wishes
Ummm if he was done for good… they wouldn’t put him into more storylines. And I think!!!! He may do a come back after some gym and healing time. Trent got jacked! Time for Dustin to whoop Greg’s ass!!
I started crying at the end. I don’t think it was just out of sadness but like out of hope and happiness that even if he doesn’t wish to wrestle anymore, that he is still in the industry that he loves. Hearing him say he’d love to be a manager on screen and stuff makes me so happy. I want to keep seeing him!!!
I’ve seen Chuck perform live multiple times, and he never disappoints. Whatever the future holds, I hope it contains Chuckie T in whatever capacity he is able.
When the news first broke that Chuck would most likely never wrestle again, I admit I was beyond devastated. However, I do feel that as long as Dustin is happy being backstage and still able to contribute. Then I am happy. I am 39 and cannot imagine what condition my body would be in if I had wrestled for 23 years. Also, word on the street is that Orange could use a friend if you are looking to be on screen again.
Great video! Chuck is my favorite wrestler and I'm grateful to hear that he will still be around in AEW. I know that he'll be fantastic as a producer, commentator, or manager if he can't wrestle anymore. Flowers for Chuckie T!
Chuck is on the verge of tears this entire video. He's visibly uncomfortable through every second. I have so much respect for him for willingly going through this torture to feed the machine. Pay the man BIG for what he did to make your company just that much better. Tony, PLEASE realize that your "toys" know what this industry is truly about.
Chuck may not be wrestling, but he said he was working as a producer on AEW. So he won't "really" be leaving. And there's a few on-screen roles he could do.
Chuck is awesome and Renee is very good at interviewing him. She's so down to earth. I hope Chuck wrestles again, but if not, I feel like he will do a very good job backstage.
Thank you Chuck Taylor. It was a privilege to watch you wrestle in AEW. I loved your matches. The Car Park matches were INSANE. You forgot to mention that one of the matches was rated 5 star…. I think all of your matches were excellent. You have a gift for putting exciting and memorable matches together. Thank you so much!!!! You are missed and I look forward to seeing you sometime in future.
Chuck and Trent were great as the Best Friends. Even without Orange I loved them. I just love tag teams that the whole gimmick is, they are friends and just kind of nice and cool. I think Best Friends should have been one of the first teams to win the tag titles back in the day.
you can tell he's sad he's hurt. this trent angle was perfect time to show his own skills. hope he finds his own peace be it coming back or ultimately becoming an agent/commentator and/or helping others/training.
Chuck Taylor is literally my favorite wrestler ever. As a character, I find him so relatable; I feel like if I was a pro wrestler I'd probably be Chuck Taylor. I'm wishing him the absolute best and while I am under no impression that he's going to see this comment, nothing would make my mark heart happier than seeing him come back to the ring... Maybe do the Gentleman's Club with OC.
More of these! More of these! More of these! I cannot stop telling you how much I love the humanization of wrestlers and just allowing them to be open and honest with whatever. Never stop these AEW... Never!
When they were saying his injury was career-ending, I went back and read his Reddit AMA he did for his first retirement seven years ago. You couldn't get a better bonus 7 years than Chuck did.
Best friends were stalwarts you could count on being there since day one.hope this all eventually gets straightened out and everybody gets back together.
Chuck Taylor is one of my favorite characters in AEW. Even if he doesn't come back to wrestle, he'd still be a great manager or other role where he gets to talk. He's great.
Easily one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, legit. I remember seeing Chuck for the first time on an IWA Mid-South VHS I ordered from RF Video back in high school. Whatever you end up doing, Chuck, you're amazing.
Chuck is a legend, I'm glad he's getting to be involved and learn stuff backstage and like him, I hope he continues to do in front of camera things too even if it's not wrestle. He's naturally funny, has so much experience in all the aspects of the public facing (for lack of a better term) parts of wrestling that "keeping on the books" would be worth every penny.
One of my nephew's favorite wrestlers -- and mine too! Chuck Taylor deserves the world, and if he wants - I hope he's able to return to the ring someday!
Always loved chuck. The 24/7 hardcore belt in Chikara (the vine compilation of it if you remember that, it's on YT) Is one of my favs things ever. Blew me away when he finally got on national TV and right before he got injured was the biggest point of his entire career. Super proud of him! (AND HE GOT TO SAY THE S-WORD!)
Man Renee was such a get for this company. Shes so good at what she does and always has been. Glad to see her being able to create stuff she enjoys. Also feel for Chuck here. Im hopeful its not over yet. We've seen so many people come back from things over the past few years. He can too. May be a while. But I bet we see him wrestle again. But until then.. at least he has a job still doing backstage work.
Love this. Great interview! Glad to hear that AEW is keeping him in some aspect and that he could possibly do something down the line. Not necessarily, but it's cool to think about. Thank you for all you've done and are doing in AEW!
Get better Chuck, you better get that surgery and come back stronger than ever. You have always been one of my faves since the Poppin Dogs Talkin Hogs days!!!
Met him at a PWG show and he was fucking cool, then the second time it was at a NJPW show in the same building where we had a beer and just shot the shit for a cool 10 minutes. What a Guy 👏 hope he powers through
right before aew I got to go to a roh tv taping with kenny and the bucks vs ropongi best friends. It was amazing and im so glad I got to see him. Sure kenny and the bucks were there and that was cool. But I was there for him and trent in all honesty. They didn't do a meet and greet so I settled for the bucks. But I really wanted a pic with chucky.
Chuck Taylor of all people thinking he's not as tremendous a wrestling talent as we know he is. Love this guy, hope he has a great time whether he can keep wrestling or steps into backstage fully
Chuck talking about his suitcase is why i believe he would be an excellent producer. Dustin talking about packing his bags confirms this. Chuck v Stoke: Manager battle
A very interesting interview !😃 Cool to know that Chuck will be part of AEW in another way . Man ! I will always mad with Tony Khan that he didn't make the Best Friends champions . Anyway , good luck Chuck ! Hoping , also , to watch you again in front of the cameras ! 😃 🙌
Renee is soooo fuckin good at what she does in AEW. She doesn't get enough credit for the many hats that she wears nowadays. Also...this is heartbreaking to watch...seeing the obvious pain and discomfort that Chuck Taylor is experiencing while discussing all of this with Renee and the world 😢💔 Can we just give him his flowers already???? If it's ultimately true that he has to retire, I hope that he receives a massive send-off 🙏 and that it's in front of his hometown with family and friends present. I think that he would be great on color commentary, if not in some important backstage role. He still has a LOT to offer the business, and AEW would absolutely benefit from his experience and wisdom 💯
Man, I can't believe Best Friends are gone. When Trent beat up Orange and hugged Callis, I was legitimately upset by it. I hope everything works out with Chuck and his health.
Damn he's still as gorgeous as ever 😍 it would be a crime NOT to have that man in front of a camera, so I'm 100% on board with him doing some more on-screen stuff!
Hope beyond belief that he still gets to show up on screen even if it isn't wrestling. Commentator, manager, you name it, I think Chuckie T would be great in the role.
Debe ser doloroso tener que dejar de hacer lo que amas por situaciones que se salen de tus manos, pero disfrute mucho de las luchas de Chuck en AEW, si Dios lo permite, ojalá pueda volver a luchar nuevamente
I was there for Chucky T hitting the Awful Waffle in front of 100,000 screaming Chuckomaniacs at Wembley. Greatest moment in the history of our great sport
I fucking love Chucky. He deserves the world for all the awesome grinding he did.
The grind? He didn’t even bother to go to the gym.
Should re join chuck and kenny
It's time Chuck gets his flowers, one of the all time greats in the Indies and an absolute workhorse in AEW.
This is the happiest I’ve seen him while still being self deprecating as hell.
That match at PWG against ZSJ is the most emotional I have ever been at a wrestling match. He deserves all of his accomplishments. He truly is a lovely and hilarious person and I’m glad the world got to see him.
Chuck Taylor is one of the reasons I started watching AEW.
Chuck Taylor is the reason why I love life.
You clearly have no class
What’s the reason?
Said nobody
I like chuck but you don’t gotta lie like that. I don’t know why fans always bullshit whenever somethin sad happens to said wrestlers
No Gimmicks Steve the Samurai will ALWAYS pop me. Thank you, Chuck.
I'm glad someone else recognizes the true GOAT in wrestling
“This Is” Howie Dewitt got me
"Hardwood" RIch Mahogany
I'm partial to "The Midnight Oil" Barney Stamp, myself!
I'm a big fan of "Pro Bowler" Benji "Ball Return" Roberts myself.
What humility, Chuck has. All the best to him and his future.
Chucky T is such a smooth wrestler and hearing him talk solidifies that
This peel behind the curtain is very refreshing to see the human side of pro wrestling
I hope he gets a proper sendoff if this is not a kayfabe retirement. Dude has been there from day 1. He's one of the OGs.
I think he just needed some time off camera to fully heal from injury so they wrote him off in that match with Trent. I imagine he will be back once he's fully cleared.
Definitely not a guy they need to write off
@@ultrainstinctroshi7315 to capitalize on the Trent vs Orange/Best Friends storyline rn yeah they do.
Love Chuck and Trent. Always underrated, but always dependable talent. Seeing The Best Friends every week was always a highlight of AEW.
Gutted his in ring career is likely over but he’s so experienced and clearly a good dude, so needs to stay around producing or whatever he’s best at at backstage.
Put Chuck on commentary. He is hilarious
Agreed. He has personality
I'd love keep him on camera. So funny.
Chuckie T drunk tweeting live during NJPW Wrestle Kingdom in the dead of night was a life changing experience
One of the funniest people in pro wrestling… I hope he stays with AEW forever. Announcing, coaching/producing… he’s got to have a role in the company.
Requesting every Dynamite, Collision, Rampage and ppv begins with a a large, colorful "PRODUCED BY CHUCKY T" graphic
I hope Chucky is always in AEW he seems like a great guy
Chuck is one of the hardest workers in wrestling. Such a nice guy.
He is really awesome guy that I have met
I think one of the "hardest workers" may have visited the gym occasionally.
Chuck winning the PWG tittle with an instant massive grin on his face after the pin still remains one of my favourite wrestling moments of all time.

One of the dudes I was most excited to see signed when AEW started. Indie legend.
"not loving wrestling as a verb as much, but still loving wrestling as a noun" is such a fantastic way of conveying it. Love me some Chuckie T, best wishes
Will always be a Chuck Taylor guy. Great sit-down
Mentally preparing myself for this one 😢
Same here 😅
Ummm if he was done for good… they wouldn’t put him into more storylines. And I think!!!! He may do a come back after some gym and healing time. Trent got jacked! Time for Dustin to whoop Greg’s ass!!
Chill man, this is called character development 😅
I'm right here with you! Long time Chucky T fan!

Statlander with the Xbox in the luggage. Love it 😂
Great video! Chuck is my favorite wrestler and I'm grateful to hear that he will still be around in AEW. I know that he'll be fantastic as a producer, commentator, or manager if he can't wrestle anymore. Flowers for Chuckie T!

Chicks affected, could tell from his eyes.
But glad to see he is taking this well.
Kudos for Renee for managing this heartfelt interview with Chuck.

Chuck, Trent, Orange and Kris. Danhausen. These guys really brought me back into wrestling. I’m excited for Chuck!
Love you chuck. Life isn't fair but you're taking it in stride. Your kind soul will always put you over. Godbless
This was such a great interview! It's nice to hear from Chuck and know that he's producing right now. I definitely miss him on TV.
Great interview. Still remember that match with Suzuki in New Japan when Sukuki was a top heel. Never seen Chucky so brutal before.
This was SO good! Please do more of these!
Best friends were stalwarts you could count on being there since day one.hope this all eventually gets straightened out and everybody gets back together.
LET ME JUST TELL YOU THIS RIGHT NOW CHUCK, YOU DID KENTUCKY PROUD. YOU DON'T NEED TO DO NO MORE YOU HAVE PROVED YOURSELF.
He doesn't live in Kentucky
Chuck Taylor is one of my favorite characters in AEW. Even if he doesn't come back to wrestle, he'd still be a great manager or other role where he gets to talk. He's great.
Easily one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, legit. I remember seeing Chuck for the first time on an IWA Mid-South VHS I ordered from RF Video back in high school. Whatever you end up doing, Chuck, you're amazing.
Chuck is awesome. I hope he can come back to wrestle again, but man what a run regardless and I wish him the absolute best!.
Sexy Chuckie T forever in our hearts as the grenade-lobbing Kentucky Gentleman
Chuck is a legend, I'm glad he's getting to be involved and learn stuff backstage and like him, I hope he continues to do in front of camera things too even if it's not wrestle.

The best friends is one of the most underrated and under utilized talents in wrestling history, they have the best match on any episode they were on
Always loved chuck.
I love you, Chuck. Thanks for all the years of entertainment no matter what happens.

Thank you Chucky. Just entering the second half of your wrestling career now! How exciting
I’ve been a huge Chuck Taylor fan since first seeing him in Chikara. This dude rules.
Good interview.Glad he is still doing something with wrestling.
Love this. Great interview! Glad to hear that AEW is keeping him in some aspect and that he could possibly do something down the line. Not necessarily, but it's cool to think about. Thank you for all you've done and are doing in AEW!

Chuck keeping kayfabe on the CHIKARA stuff made me smile.
Met him at a PWG show and he was fucking cool, then the second time it was at a NJPW show in the same building where we had a beer and just shot the shit for a cool 10 minutes. What a Guy 👏 hope he powers through
A very underrated wrestler and one of the originals, we will miss you Chucky!
This is a fantastic video. It's so unusual to see a wrestler so vulnerable, love you Chuckie T, hope you can return
We love you Chuck!! Stay strong my brother!!
Chuckie T is the man, hope he heals up and gets right, dude deserves nothing but love
Renee is so natural for these interviews, she’s fantastic
Love you Dustin! Thank you for being the absolute king that you are! 👑💜

He _should_ get some TV time breaking kayfabe and say his goodbyes to "in-ring" action 😞
I’m all for this
Chuck talking about his suitcase is why i believe he would be an excellent producer. Dustin talking about packing his bags confirms this.
Chuck v Stoke: Manager battle

hope you get better and do whatever you want to do chuckie t, but selfishly i hope its you getting the best friends back together for some GOLD
I could watch hours of Renee interviewing Chuck. This was wonderful
Man, I can't believe Best Friends are gone. When Trent beat up Orange and hugged Callis, I was legitimately upset by it. I hope everything works out with Chuck and his health.
I'm proud of this fellow Kentuckian. He's such a great guy.
Damn he's still as gorgeous as ever 😍 it would be a crime NOT to have that man in front of a camera, so I'm 100% on board with him doing some more on-screen stuff!
Get well soon Chuckie!
Come back with a BANG! 💥💥💥
Hope beyond belief that he still gets to show up on screen even if it isn't wrestling. Commentator, manager, you name it, I think Chuckie T would be great in the role.
Awful Waffle is one of my favorite finishers. Chuckie T is a credit to professional wrestling.
Debe ser doloroso tener que dejar de hacer lo que amas por situaciones que se salen de tus manos, pero disfrute mucho de las luchas de Chuck en AEW, si Dios lo permite, ojalá pueda volver a luchar nuevamente
So, are we doing an tribute show to Chuck Taylor on AEW Rampage.
I was there for Chucky T hitting the Awful Waffle in front of 100,000 screaming Chuckomaniacs at Wembley. Greatest moment in the history of our great sport
I love you so much Chuck 💜
Dustin and Greg 4ever
God almighy, Chucky is the best. This whole thing absolutely breaks my heart.
Chuck Taylor has some pretty cool moves, I don't see anyone else has as many cool moves as him !
The freaking awful waffle.
